Polyaniline-Camphorsulfonic Acid Emeraldine Salt(PANI-CSA ES) was prepared by doping Polyaniline Ermeralidine Base(PANI EB) with DL-10-Camphorsulfonic Acid(CSA). PANI-CSA ES was solved in an organic solvent by ultrasonification for different periods of time and its surface resistivity was measured. Several PANI-CSA ES solutions solved in different organic solvents were prepared and their surface resistivities were measured. Thermal stability of film casted with PANI-CAS ES solution in m-cresol was estimated by measuring its surface conductivity and the content of this moisture and organic solvents. PANI-CSA ES was blended with different polymeric binders to improve its physical properties and the surface resistivities of several kinds of PANI-CSA ES blends were measured as a function of the content of PANI-CSA ES. PANI-CSA ES polymerized by 1-step oxidative polymerization was prepared and its surface resistivity was measured.
Laser direct writing of micro-patterned copper lines has been achieved by pyrolytic decomposition of copper formate films (Cu(HCOO)$_2$.4$H_2O$), as a metallo-organic precursor, using a focused CW Ar$^{+}$ laser beam (λ=514nm) on PCB boards and glass substrates. The linewidth and thickness of the lines wee investigated as a functin of laser power and scan speed. The profiles of the lines were measured by scanning electron microscope (SEM), surface profiler ($\alpha$-step) and atomic force measured by scanning electron microscope (SEM), surface profiler ($\alpha$-step) and atomic force microscopy (AFM). The electrical resistivities of the patterned lines were also investigated as a function of laser parameters using probe station and semiconductor analyzer. We compared resistivities of the patterned copper lines with these of the Cu bulk. Resistivities decreased due to changes in morphology and porosity of the deposit, which were about 3.8 $\mu$$\Omega$cm and 12$\mu$$\Omega$cm on PCB and glass substrates after annealing at 30$0^{\circ}C$ for 5 minutes.s.
This paper describes electrical and optical characteristics of discharge developments in water under inhomogeneous fields caused by impulse voltages. Predischarge current and discharge light images were observed for different water resistivities and applied voltages between the hemispherical water tank and the needle electrode. The electrical parameters characterizing discharge developments are analyzed based on the discharge light images and voltage-current (V-I) curves, and electrical resistances derived by voltage and current waveforms. As a result, when the streamer corona is initiated at the tip of the needle electrode, the transient resistance suddenly drops and V-I curves form a 'loop'. The length of streamer propagation is increased with increasing peak value of the applied voltage, and the streamer corona extension is enlarged with increasing water resistivity. The electrical resistances before streamer corona initiation are rarely changed by different applied voltages. On the other hand, the electrical resistances after streamer corona initiation are found to be inversely proportional to the peak value of the applied voltage, and the decreasing rates for higher water resistivities are much higher than those for lower water resistivities. The time to streamer corona initiation and the time to the second current peak become shorter as the voltage increases. Finally, the calculated resistances after streamer corona initiation are almost the same trace of measured resistances, but they are smaller than the measured values.
Ohmic contact process for the fabrication of GaAs integrated circuits is very important. Specific contact resistivities, assuming Rsm=Rs, were measured after the rapid and the conventional alloying process, respectively. The results show that the characteristics of ohmic contact through the rapid alloying process is much better (Apc=1.3~3.3x10**-7 \ulcorner-(m\ulcorner. This is probably due to intensive and compound energy densities during the rapid alloying process. New analysis method of TLM patterns viz. measurements of normlaized specific contact resistivities are proposed to reduce measurement errors that could occur when measuring the small contact end resistances. The adoption of rapid alloying process for the mass production of GaAs integrated circuits could greatly reduce the total processig time.

In order to enhance sinterability of W-Cu composites used for heat sink materials, mechanical alloying process where both homogeneous mixing of component powders and fine dispersion of minor phase can be easily attained was employed. Nanostructured W-Cu powders prepared by mechanical alloying showed W grain size ranged of 20-50 nm and were able to be efficiently sintered owing to the fine particle size as well as uniform distribution of Cu phase. The thermal properties such as electrical resistivity, coefficient of thermal expansion and thermal conductivity were evaluated as functions of temperature and Cu content. It was found that the coefficient of thermal expansion could be controlled by changing Cu content. The measured electrical resistivities and thermal diffusivities were also varied with Cu content. The thermal conductivities calculated from the values of resistivities and diffusivities showed similar tendency as a function of temperatures. However, this is in contradiction with thermal conductivities of pure W and Cu which decrease with increasing temperature.
This work examines the effects of swelling MI type HVDC cable oil on the semiconductive silicone rubber and silicone rubber as used in accessories for application on outdoor termination (EBA) slip on sleeve. The behavior of volume resistivity is monitored as a function of the amount of cable oil diffused into the material. Resistivities of semiconductive silicone samples up to the typical insulator range (${\sim}10^{10}{\Omega}-cm$) are observed as a consequence of swelling due to the presence of the diffused oil. The measured volume resistivities of the oil-impregnated semiconductive silicone rubber are compared to desired value as function of stress relief cone.
Electrical resistivity is an important property for the collection efficiency in the electrostatic precipitator. In this paper, electrical resistivities of tobacco dusts, yellow sand dusts and pine pollens are measured using a high voltage conductivity cell based on JIS B 9915. The resistivities of three kinds of indoor dusts are about $1{\times}10^7\;{\Omega}{\cdot}cm^2$ in the normal range and dust collection efficiency using an electrostatic precipitator at to face velocity of 1.0 m/s shows over 99% for the three kinds of indoor dusts.
