The purpose of the present study was designed to evaluate the bioequivalence of two oxiracetam tablets, Neuromed tablet (Korea Drug Co., reference drug) and Neuracetam tablet (Sam Jin Pharmaceutical Co., test drug), according to the guidelines of Korea Food and Drug Administration (KFDA). Release of oxiracetam from the tablet in vitro was tested using KP VIII Apparatus II method with various dissolution media (pH 1.2, 4.0, 6.8 buffer solution and water). Twenty-four healthy volunteers, $23.7\;{\pm}\;2.4$ year in age and $68.9\;{\pm}\;6.2$ kg in body weight, were divided into two groups and a randomized $2{\times}2$ cross-over study was performed. After oral administration of a tablet containing 800 mg of oxiracetam, blood samples were taken at predetermined time intervals and concentrations of oxiracetam in plasma were determined using HPLC-MS-MS. The dissolution profiles of two formulations were very similar at all dissolution media. In addition, pharmacokinetic parameters such as $AUC_t$, $C_{max}$ and $T_{max}$ were calculated and ANOVA test was utilized for the statistical analysis of the parameters using logarithmically transformed $AUC_t$ and $C_{max}$ untransformed $T_{max}$. The results showed that the differences between two formulations based on the reference drug were 0.42%, 0.45% and -12.58% for $AUC_t$, $C_{max}$ and $T_{max}$, respectively. There were no sequence effects between two formulations in these parameters. The 90% confidence intervals for the log transformed data were within the acceptance range of log 0.8 to log 1.25 (e.g., $log0.94{\sim}log1.06$ and $log0.90{\sim}log1.07$ for $AUC_t$, and $C_{max}$, respectively), indicating that Neuracetam tablet is bioequivalent to Neuromed tablet. The major pharmacokinetic parameters, $AUC_t$, and $C_{max}$ met the criteria set by KFDA for bioequivalence indicating that Neuracetam tablet is bioequivalent to Neuromed tablet.

We performed the present study to investigate whether Rehmannia glutinosa Libosch (RG) extracts (RGX) and Eleutherococcus senticosus Max (ES) extracts (ESX) play any roles in bone metabolism. We examined cellular activities of bone cells by measurement of osteoblastic cell viability, osteoprotegerin (OPG) secretion from osteoblasts, osteoclastogenesis, and osteoclastic activity. There is no cytotoxicity from osteoblasts after treatment with RGX and ESX. The secretion of OPG from the osteoblasts showed marked increases after treatment with RGX and ESX. In addition, RGX and ESX treatment decreased the number of tartrate-resistant acid phosphatase-positive multinucleated cells and the resorption areas. RGX and ESX, when mixed at optimal ratios, induced synergic effects, in vitro. OPB, which showed synergic effects, is the extract of natural ingredients RG and ES mixed at a raw material weight ratio of 4 : 1. It can be suspected that extracts of RG and ES mixtures contains active ingredients involved in bone tissue metabolism and may be effective in improving osteoporosis.
Decrease in the amount of cotyledonary spermidine in Glycine max under anaerobic conditions related to an increase in spermidine dehydrogenase. Under the same conditions, no enzymatic activity of diamine oxidase was observed. Exposure of Glycine max both to spermidine and 1,3-diaminopropane under anaerobic conditions resulted in a decrease in spermidine contents. Correlated with the decrease in spermidine contents, there was a drastic increase in spermidine dehydrogenase. The molecular weight of the purified enzyme estimated by Sephacryl S-300 gel column and SDS gel electrophoresis were 130,000 dalton and 65,000 dalton, respectively, indicating that the enzyme is a dimer. The optimal pH for activity was 9.3. The $K_m$ value for spermidine was 0.61 mM. Neither metal ions nor polyamine and derivatives affected enzymatic activity, but the enzyme was inhibited by DTNB, NEM and PCMB, suggesting that a cysteine residue of the enzyme is associated with or involved in enzyme activity. To our knowledge, this is the first report describing properties of the enzyme from plants. Considered together, the data in this paper indicate that both spermidine and 1,3-diaminopropane, novel activators, enhance the spermidine dehydrogenase activity and control the intracellular spermidine contents.
In this study, collapse test of thin-walled structure is performed under axially quasi-static and impact load in collapse characteristic to develop the optimum structural member for a light-oriented automobile. Furthermore, the energy-absorbing capacity is observed according to the variety of configuration(circular, square), aspect ratio in aluminum specimen to obtain basic data for the improved member of vehicle. In both quasi-static and impact collapse test, Al circular specimens collapse, in general, with axisymmetric mode in case of thin thickness while collapse with non-axisynmetric mode according to the thickness increase. For Al rectangular specimens, they collapse with axisymmetric mode in case of thin thickness, with mixed collapse mode according to the increase of thickness. In terms of initial max. load, Al square specimen turns out the best member among specimens, and then Al square, circular and circular with large scaling ratio, respectively. In case of quasi-static compression test, the absorbed energy per unit volume and mass shows higher in Al circular specimen, and then Al square, circular with large scaling ratio, respectively, according to shape ratio the absorbed energy per unit volume and mass in case of max. impact compression load is higher than that of static load. But the absorbed energy per unit volume and mass shows that Al circular specimen is the best member. Especially, unlike max. compression loan, the absorbed energy per unit volume and mass in impact test turns out the low value.
Background: The purpose of this study was to assessment of posture sway on static standing in the elderly. Methods: The participants aged 60 to 90 years, were divided into age such 60s, 70s and 80s and with a history of exercise, arthritis and hang on one's stick. The results of the posture sway test according to exercise group, arthritis and hang on one's stick group were showed that mean balance function was significantly stable in exercise group than arthritis and stick groups. The weight was showed significant correlation by mean balance, sway no, frequency, sway area, sway path and max velocity. Sway area and max velocity were not significant correlation by frequency of lateral and left, right anterior and posterior direction. Conclusion: In this study was showed that posture sway was effected from health condition of elderly.
The purpose of this study was to compare Obesity Age (OA) and chronological age, to calculate Obesity Age (OA), which gauges the state of obesity, and to analyze presented factors of obesity using expectant factors on middle-aged obese women. The subjects were one hundred twenty seven middle-aged obese women ($49.6\pm7.3$ yr, BMI $29.41\pm2.9$, fat $36.8\pm4.6%$) who participated in different weight loss programs three times. The body composition, physical fitness, blood pressure and blood were measured before the weight loss programs. Informed consent was obtained from all subjects before enrollment in the study. The regression equation is as follows: (1) OAS (Obesity Age Score)=$0.106*X_1+0.035*X_2+0.048*X_3+0.041*X_4+0.003*X_5-0.037*X_6-10.667$ ($X_1$: BMI, $X_2$: weight, $X_3$: %fat, $X_4$: WC, $X_5$: TG, $X_6$: $VO_{2max}$), (2) OA (Obesity Age)=7.3*OAS+49.6*(-1), (3) Z (correction factor)=(CA-49.6)(1-0.03), (4) OAc (corrected Obesity Age)=1.03*CA-7.3*OAS+1.47. The comparison of corrected Obesity Age (OAc) and chronological age did not have any differences, and the average of the OAc was close to chronological age. The correlation coefficient between the OAc and chronological age was r=0.724 (p<0.05). The equation can be utilized for middle-aged obese women, because it could evaluate the obesity-related factors by including BMI, body weight, %fat, waist circumference, triglycerides and $VO_{2max}$.

Newsprint is quantitatively the most important printing paper. The demands for its printability are continuously increasing. It is well known that the relationship between the physically tested paper properties and newspaper printability is unsatisfactory. In order to improve the printing quality of Korean newsprint, the printability coefficients such as maximum ink requirement($Y_{max}$), print through were investigated. Kinds of Korean newspapers and three kinds of news printing inks were tested by IGT printability tester. Experiment condition of IGT printability tester was 14 steps between $0.2{\sim}2.8g/m^2$ of ink requirement, printing pressure was .200 N and printing velocity was 1m/sec. The properties of newspaper samples(basis weight, bulk density, roughness, smoothness, porosity, i. e.) were examined in accordance with KS and TAPPI standard testing methods. The result of this study are respected for usefulness printing quality management of Korean newsprint.
A receding horizon $H_{\infty}$ predictive control method is derived by solving a min-max problem in non-recursive forms. The min-max cost index is converted to a quadratic form which for systems with input saturation can be minimized using QP. Through the use of closed-loop prediction the prediction of states the use of closed-loop prediction the prediction of states in the presence of disturbances are made non-conservative and it become possible to get a tighter $H_{\infty}$ norm bound. Stability conditions and $H_{\infty}$ norm bounds on disturbance rejection are obtained in infinite horizon sence. Polyhedral types of feasible sets for sets and disturbances are adopted to deal with the input constraints. The weight selection procedures are given in terms of LMIs and the algorithm is formulated so that it can be solved via QP. This work is a modified version of an earlier work which was based on ellipsoidal type feasible sets[15].
Protein kinase C, a protein related in PI cascade, was partially purified from the cytosol protein of etiolated plants of Glycine max by DEAE-52 cellulose chromatography and phenylsepharose chromatography. When the DEAE column was eluted with 0-0.8 M linear gradient KCl, tow fractions were found that increased the phosphorylation of histon H1 about five and nine-fold in the presence of 5 $\mu\textrm{g}$/mL phosphatidylserine and 0.5 $\mu\textrm{g}$/mL diolein, respectively. These fractions were used as DEAE pool. The reaction eluted with relatively high concentration of KCl was loaded on phyenylsepharose column with 5 mM CaCl2 and eluted with 1 mM EGTA. A fraction contained the protein kinase C, which increased the phosphorylation of the histon H1 was fractionated. To determine the molecular weight of PKC, the fraction eluted from phenylsepharose column was analyzed by 5~15% polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis after concentrated with the Amicon membrane (YM10). That revealed two bands corresponding to 60 and 65 kGy by silver staining of the gel, respectively.
