Recently small punch creep testing (or miniature disc bend creep test) has received much attention through European collaborative research projects. This method was considered as a substitute for the conventional creep rupture testing by which the residual creep life is measured from the specimen taken out from serviced components of high temperature plants. It would be beneficial if the material creep properties such as power law creep constants as well as the creep rupture life can be measured from the small punch creep test. In this paper a method of assessing creep constants from the small punch creep testing is proposed. Finite element analyses were performed to investigate evolution of stress and strain rate at the weakest locations of the small punch creep specimen. Elastic-plastic-secondary creep analyses were carried out. The estimation equations for creep constants by the small punch creep testing are proposed based on the finite analysis results. Small punch creep tests were also performed with 9Cr steel and the accuracy of the proposed equation was verified by the experimental results.

The properties of piezoelectric and dielectric for 0.05Pb(Mn$\_$0.4/W$\_$0.2/Nb$\_$0.4/)O$_3$ - 0.95PbZr$\_$x/Ti$\_$1-x/O$_3$ compositions have been investigated. In the composition of 0.05Pb(Mn$\_$0.4/W$\_$0.2/Nb$\_$0.4/)O$_3$ - 0.95PbZr$\_$0.51/Ti$\_$0.49/O$_3$, the values of k$\_$p/ and $\varepsilon$$\_$33/$\^$T// $\varepsilon$$\_$0/ are maximized, but Q$\_$m/ was minimized (k$\_$p/=56.5[%], Q$\_$m/=1130, d$\_$33/=258[pC/N], $\varepsilon$$\_$33/$\^$T// $\varepsilon$$\_$0/=1170). The grain size was suppressed and the uniformity of grain was improved at the 1100[˚C]. Also, we can see the dielectric constants variations between the before poling and after poling. This effect results from the effect(increase element of dielectric constants) between dipole switching and electrostriction inducing stress and dipole direction to the poling orientation(decrease element of dielectric constants). At x=0.51, we can find MPB(morphotropic phase boundary).

For measurement of dielectric constants, the commercial parallel plate electrodes system with guard-ring electrode have been widely used up to now. The capacitance derived from the parallel plate electrodes capacitor with guard-ring electrode is calculated by the equation of ($C={\epsilon}\;{\cdot}\;\frac{area\;of\;electrod}{distance\;between\;electrodes}$). Therefore, in parallel plate electrode capacitor, the diameter of the guarded electrode, the gap size between guarded electrode and guard ring, and distance between two active electrode should be measured precisely to calculate dielectric constants from the measured capacitance. Consequently their mechanical measurement uncertainties are directly contributed. Especially the air-gap between the electrodes and dielectric specimen at the system must be existed and the measurement error derived from the air-gap is impossible to evaluate as measurement uncertainties. In this study, we analyze the uncertainty of the commercial dielectric constant test cell using 3 kinds CRMs.

Arrhenius kinetic constants, the activation energy and the pre-exponential factor, of energetic material $BKNO_3$ are estimated using Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC). Different from the conventional way, the activation energy was estimated more precisely through DSC aging trial, and the consumed fraction by heat was calculated by comparing the integration of heat flow. We suggested the condition of accelerated aging test for the energetic material $BKNO_3$ and reconsidered the meaning of the thermal accelerated aging.

When impact load is applied to a plate structure, a common phenomenon that occurs in structures is plastic deformation accompanied by a large strain and eventually it will experience a fracture accordingly. In this study, for the rational design against accidental limit state, the plastic material constants of steel plate which is formed by line heating and by cold bending procedure have been defined through the numerical simulation for the high speed tension test. The usefulness of the material constants included in Cowper-Symonds model and Johnson-Cook model with the assumption that strain rate can be neglected when strain rate is less than the intermediate speed is verified through comparing the present numerical results with those in references. This paper ends with describing the future study.
For a perforated plate, it is challenging to develop a finite element model due to the necessity of the fine meshing of the plate, especially if it is submerged in fluid. This necessitates the use of a solid plate with equivalent material properties. Unfortunately, the effective elastic constants suggested by the ASME code are deemed not valid for a modal analysis. Therefore, in this study the equivalent material properties of a perforated plate are suggested by performing several finite element analyses with respect to the ligament efficiencies.

This study aims to measure the reflection loss and the material constants of the fabricated samples for electromagnectic wave absorber by using $20 mm\phi$ coaxial tube with the endshort-type. The authors have established the extraction algorithm of material constants by one port method, and proved that the results of the experiments were in agreement with the calculated ones. On the basis of the above results, the validity of the proposed measuring method is confirmed. This measurement method could be used effectively for the design of microwave absorber and for its evalustion.

In this study, after concrete cylinders were made on the condition of varying water-to -cement ratio, and cured 80 days compressive strength and splitting tensile strength were performed and moduls of elasticy is obtained. The fracture energy was obtained by acting three point bending on the 80cm in length. This test involved static loading test and dynamic loading test. In this work, the new interrelation of the material constants was obtained clearly and the property of the mixture was inspected, including the relation between the fracture energy and all kind of the material constants.

Using the 2 probe mothods, AC coductivities, dielectric loss factors, capacitances, and impedances were investigated to study. The electrical and sensing properties for SnO$_2$ added ZnO. In air The electrical conductivity of SnO$_2$added ZnO decrease by increasing the content of SnO$_2$, and the relative dielectric constants for 0.05, 5, 7 SnO$_2$ added ZnO are 55, 20, 14, respectively. In 3000ppm CO Gas. relative dielectric constants for 3, 5mol% SnO$_2$ added ZnO are 163, 68, respectively.

A free sparse transmission method using X-band standard gain horn antenna is applied to measure the attenuation and phase shift of microwave signal through the wetted grain such as rough rice, brown rice and barley. The moisture content of grain varied from 11 to 25% based on its wetted condition. The dielectric constant and loss factor, which depend on the moisture content of the wetted grain are obtained from the measured attenuation and phase shift by vector network analyzer. The measured values of dielectric constants as a function of moisture density are compared with values of those obtained using the predicted model for estimating dielectric constants of grain.
