마킹과 품질검사의 동시 처리 비젼 시스템의 개발 (Built-in CPVS(Concurrent Processing Vision System) of the marking and quality inspection)

  • 레이저를 이용한 마킹(marking) 시스템은 미러(mirror)를 움직이는 XY Scanner안 모터의 Thermal drift로 인한 오차와 laser 오류에 의해 마킹의 불량을 초래하게 된다. 따라서, 이 마킹 불량을 검사하기 위해 마킹 시스템에는 비젼(Vision)을 이용한 검사 장비가 탑재된다. 현재 웨이퍼 마킹기나 다른 마킹기의 비젼시스템은 후검사(post vision) 시스템을 도입하고 있다. 하지만, 후검사 시스템의 경우 마킹이 잘못되었을 때, 바로 마킹을 중지하지 못하고 적어도 한 단위 마킹(tray, 웨이퍼, Strip, PCB 등등)을 망치게 되고, 만일 마킹 대상물이 고가인 경우 상당한 금액의 손실을 가져오는 단점을 가지고 있다. 이러한 단절을 보완하기 위해 본 논문에서는 CPVS(Concurrent Processing Vision System)라는 시스템을 구현하였다. 이 시스템은 마킹과 마킹 품질검사를 동시에 병행함으로써 마킹이 잘못되었을 때 마킹을 중단하게 되어 더 이상의 손실이 나지 않게 하고 후처리 검사 시스템으로의 이송과정을 생략함으로써 processing time을 줄이고, 생산성을 높인다는 장점을 가지게 된다. 이 시스템의 구현은 Visual C++의 MFC 라이브러리를 사용한 MDI구조로 구현하였다.

Low Point 모니터링 장비의 개발 (Development in Equipment of Low Point Marking Machine Control System)

  • Even the domestically small-and medium-sized companies progressed development in the monitoring equipment of inspecting run out in steel wheel aiming to supply and generalize through developing the monitoring equipment for securing quality technology and enhancing quality-test level. Run-Out value in vehicle wheel was measured with Computer & Servo system by using Low-Point marking machine control system, which is this development product. Low-Point value was operated and calculated. It marked by revolving wheel as much as the demanded measurement value based on 1ST harmony curve. Thus, the shipment of inferior product, which occurs in the measurement by the existing worker, could be blocked in advance. In the existing case, 60 sec. was required for inspecting 1 product. However, it came to bring about a rise in production volume through shortening inspection time to 8 seconds and improving workers' operating environment.

  • The purpose of this study was to present the effective activation of apparel CAD system and for this, the investigation of actual condition of CAD using companies and comparative inspection with the advanced study were carefully considered. The results were as follows : 1. The investigation result of the system using enterprises is that the direct effect from the operation of the CAD system after its introduction was the promptness, ad the indirect effect of it was the growth of operation level and operating reliance. 2. The problem originated from the system was the uncertainty of employer effectiveness and the financing source for it when introduced, and the lack of consciousness of it when operated. 3. The using level in pattern manufacturing function was lower than that in grading and marking. Therefore, as the full automation in CAD system is a part of CIM construction and the direction to which apparel companies should go, a firmly connected system between management & the persons in charge in apparel companies, facility supplying companies, universities & other educational institutes, and the Government should be duly constructed first of all n order to achieve this aim.

컴퓨터 모니터용 유리 패널의 문자 마크 인식 (Recognition of Patterns and Marks on the Glass Panel of Computer Monitor)

  • In this paper, a machine vision system for recognizing and classifying the patterns and marks engraved by die molding or laser marking on the glass panels of computer monitors is suggested and evaluated experimentally. The vision system is equipped with a neural network and an NGC pattern classifier including searching process based on normalized grayscale correlation and adaptive binarization. This system is found to be applicable even to the cases in which the segmentation of the pattern area from the background using ordinary blob coloring technique is quite difficult. The inspection process is accomplished by the use of the NGC hypothesis and ANN verification. The proposed pattern recognition system is composed of three parts: NGC matching process and the preprocessing unit for acquiring the best quality of binary image data, a neural network-based recognition algorithm, and the learning algorithm for the neural network. Another contribution of this paper is the method of generating the training patterns from only a few typical product samples in place of real images of all types of good products.

  • n industrial computer vision systems, the image quality is dependent on the parameters such as light source, illumination method, optics, and surface properties. Most of them are related with the lighting system, which is designed in heuristic based on the designer's experimental knowledge. In this paper, a design code by which the optimal lighting method and light source for computer vision systems can be found are suggested based on experimental results. The design coed is applied to the design of the lighting system for the transistor marking inspection system, and the overall performance of the machine vision system with the lighting system show the effectiveness of the proposed design code.

  • 반도체 패키지의 마킹검사(marking inspection)를 위해서는 입력 영상으로부터 검사할 패키지의 정확만 위치 검출과 패키지 윗면에 나타난 제작사 로고, 문자, Pin1 딤플의 추출이 필수적이다. 본 연구는 마킹검사를 위한 선행 연구로 마킹검사를 수행할 때, 검사할 IC 패키지의 위치와 방향을 정확하게 검출하는 것을 목적으로 하고 있다. IC 패키지의 외곽을 구성하는 리드의 명도 값은 트레이의 명도 값과 큰 차이를 나타낸다. 그러나 IC 패키지의 방향을 나타내는 Pin1 딤플은 배경과 동일한 색상으로 다만 약간 오목하게 들어가서 명도 값의 차이가 미세하다. 이러한 두 가지 상이한 특징을 효과적으로 처리하기 위하여 적응적 다중 이진화 방법을 제시하였다. 76개의 명도 영상에 대한 실험 결과 제안된 이진화 방법은 매우 효과적이었으며, 이진화된 영상으로부터 IC 패키지의 정확한 위치 검출과 방향 확인이 가능하였다.

  • Work Guideline of Construction Quality Management was revised in July 2017, and it has changed the perception of scaffolding in South Korea. The on site investigation and survey was performed on manufacturers, leasing companies, and quality inspection agencies regarding the compliance with the guideline for the scaffolding and the related components brought to the site. Moreover, the related guidelines and identified unsatisfactory quality management items were analyzed by each subject. As a result, the major factors that cause the problems were reasonably deducted. The related regulations to prohibit the delivery of faulty scaffolding components to the construction site in order to secure the safety of the temporary structure was suggested.

Assessment of Masks Used by Healthcare Workers: Development and Validation of a Mask Qualitative Assessment Tool (MQAT)

  • Background: Respiratory masks can provide healthcare workers with protection from biological hazards when they have good performance. There is a direct relationship between the visual specifications of a mask and its efficacy; thus, the aim of this study was to develop tools for qualitative assessment of the performance of masks used by healthcare workers. Methods: A mixed-methods design was used to develop a qualitative assessment tool for medical face masks (MFM) and particle filtering half masks (PFHM). The development of domains and items was undertaken using observation and interviews, the opinions of an expert panel, and a review of texts and international standards. The second phase evaluated the psychometric properties of tools. Finally, the validated Mask Qualitative Assessment Tools (MQAT) were used to assess six samples from 10 brands of the two types of masks. Results: MQAT-MFM and MQAT-PHFM shared 42 items across seven domains: "cleanliness," "design," "marking, labeling and packaging," "mask layers," "mask strap," "materials and construction," and "nose clip." MQAT-MFM included one additional item. MQAT-PHFM included another nine items associated with an eighth "Practical Performance" domain, and the valve version had another additional "Exhalation Valve" domain and six items. The evaluation indicated 80% compliance for MFM and 71% compliance for PFHM. "Marking, labeling and packaging" and "Layers" were associated with the least compliance in both types of masks and should be checked carefully for defining mask quality. Conclusion: MQAT can be used for immediate screening and initial assessment of MFM and PHFM through appearance, simple tools, and visual inspection.
