  • Ensuring accuracy within tolerance is crucial for a marking robot; however, rebar displacement frequently occurs during the structural work process, necessitating corrections to layout lines or rebar locations. To guarantee precision and automation, the marking robot must be capable of measuring rebar error and determining appropriate adjustments for marking lines and rebar placement. Consequently, this study proposes a method for measuring rebar location error using a LiDAR sensor and implementing a layout assessment process based on the measurement results. The rebar recognition experiment using the LiDAR sensor yielded an average error of 5mm, demonstrating a reliable level of accuracy for wall rebars. Additionally, this research proposed a process that enables the robot to evaluate rebar and marking corrections based on the error range. The findings of this study can contribute to the automated operation of marking robots while accounting for construction errors, potentially leading to improvements in structural quality.

  • It is essential to estimate the vehicle localization for an autonomous safety driving. In particular, since LIDAR provides precise scan data, many studies carried out to estimate the vehicle localization using LIDAR and pre-generated map. The road marking always exists on the road because of provides driving information. Therefore, it is often used for map information. In this paper, we propose to generate the Gaussian mixture map based on road-marking information and localization method using this map. Generally, the probability distributions map stores the single Gaussian distribution for each grid. However, single resolution probability distributions map cannot express complex shapes when grid resolution is large. In addition, when grid resolution is small, map size is bigger and process time is longer. Therefore, it is difficult to apply the road marking. On the other hand, Gaussian mixture distribution can effectively express the road marking by several probability distributions. In this paper, we generate Gaussian mixture map and perform vehicle localization using Gaussian mixture map. Localization performance is analyzed through the experimental result.

  • This paper proposes an algorithm of CAD data extraction for the computer controlled making system. In general logo is directly designed at the marking controller, but that is not an effective method because of the very limited working area. In this paper, for the data extraction we used a general PC and Auto CAD for logo design, and developed the software with GUI(Graphic User Interface) method. Then the data is transferred to the marking controller for marking on the object. With experimental result we showed the proposed algorithm to be very effective in the computer controlled marking system.

  • This paper examines the (a)symmetries in the realization of focused subjects and objects in Korean. Through rating experiments, we demonstrate that native speakers' judgments of acceptability of sentences containing case-marked or case-ellipsed subjects and objects are sensitive to the contrastiveness strength and the discourse accessibility of focused arguments. However, our experiments also show that focused subjects exhibit stronger preference for explicit case marking over case ellipsis and that contrastiveness strength and discourse accessibility have weaker influence on the case marking and ellipsis of focused subjects compared to focused objects. We propose an account of variable case marking that is capable of subsuming both the similarities and differences between focused subjects and objects under the universal theory of markedness. In particular, it is shown that the similarities between focused subjects and objects are predicted by the proposed account based on the contrastiveness strength and the discourse accessibility of focused arguments and that the differences between focused subjects and objects follow naturally from the relative markedness of focus as subjects.

  • Preoperative perforator marking for deep inferior epigastric artery perforator flaps is vital to the success of the procedure in breast reconstruction. Advances in imaging have facilitated accurate identification and preselection of potentially useful perforators. However, the reported imaging accuracy may be lost when preoperatively marking the patient, due to 'mapping errors', as this relies on the use of 2 reported vectors from a landmark such as the umbilicus. Observation errors have been encountered where inaccurate perforator vector measurements have been reported in relation to the umbilicus. Transcription errors have been noted where confusing and wordy reports have been typed or where incorrect units have been given (millimetres vs. centimetres). Interpretation errors have also occurred when using the report for preoperative marking. Furthermore, the marking process may be unnecessarily time-consuming. We describe a bespoke template, created using an individual computed tomography angiography image, that increases the efficiency and accuracy of preoperative marking. The template is created to scale, is individually tailored to the patient, and is particularly useful in cases where multiple potential suitable perforators exist.

  • Digital Rights Management (DRM) technology has been widely used for protecting the digital contents over the recent years. But the digital contents protected by DRM are vulnerable to various video memory capture programs when DRM packaged contents are decrypted on the consumers' multimedia devices. To make up for this kind of DRM security holes the Forensic Marking (FM) technology is being deployed into the content protection area. Most leading DRM companies as well as big electronics companies like Thomson and Philips already have commercial FM solutions. Forensic Marking technology uses the digital watermarking to insert the user information such as user id, content playing time and etc. into the decrypted and decoded content at the playback time on the consumer devices. When the content containing watermarked user information (Forensic Mark) is illegally captured and distributed over the Internet, the FM detection system takes out the inserted FM from the illegal contents and informs contents service providers of the illegal hacker's information. In this paper the requirements and test conditions are discussed for the commercial Forensic Marking systems.

  • The purpose of this study is to find the proper width of fabric which can bring high efficiency on productivity. We focus on the marking method by comparing and analyzing the marking efficiency of flare skirt. This study employs 4 criteria to mark the flare skirt, which are angle, location, width, and direction, respectively. There can be 3 different angles$(180^{\circ},\;270^{\circ},\;360^{\circ})$, and 2 different locations(the center line and the middle of the pattern) according to fixing of the warp line of the fabric. Also, width can be classified into 2 groups(110cm, 150cm), and marking direction can be grouped into 2(one direction marker and one direction per each size marker). These 4 criteria make $24(3{\times}2{\times}2{\times}2)$ cases for this study. Main findings are follows. Fist, the skirt with the 150cm width has higher efficiency rate than that of 110cm. Second, fixing the warp line at the center line has higher efficiency rate than that in the middle. Finally, per size marker has much higher efficiency than the just direction marker. In sum, we find that 150cm width with the center warp line and per size marker brings the highest efficiency rate.
