  • Continuing and Developing the growth, the company should focus on 'time to market of high quality production' and 'cost down'. Due to the complexity of the production, reliability is being one of the important factor. In this study, in particular, focus on parts reliability test improvement about printer product and proceeded. Need test improvement for time to market that is developed, and reduce expense with test period that is required at Reliability Test time of new parts and should high quality level of product. Finally huge Failure Cost (F-COST) occurs because quality level of product drops if parts that accomplish product does not ensure reliability and this is associated by malfunction in marketplace.

  • The globally used PV qualification tests and reports the pass/fail only. Therefore, the reliability of new PV materials and parts can't be compared quantitatively with the reliability of the PV parts and materials in the market. Global PV materials and parts companies test and compare their materials, parts, and modules using the failure-to-test (FTT). However, it takes a long accelerated stress test (AST) until failure. It also needs to test the new and existing materials and parts. Therefore, it requires excessive equipment time and cost. In order to reduce the time and cost, a new reliability enhancement methodology has been developed. It tests the PV materials, parts, and modules in the global market and stores them in the PV reliability database. It reduces the time and cost of the comparison and enhancement of PV reliability. An example of the reliability enhancement of the PV encapsulant, EVA is presented.

  • Successful operation of power systems under the deregulated electricity market depends on the management of the transmission system reliability. Quantitative evaluation of the transmission system reliability is an important issue. Particularly, the nodal reliability indices can be of value in the management and control of congestion and reliability of the transmission system under the deregulated electricity market. In this study, a method developed for the reliability evaluation of the transmission system is presented. The Monte Carlo methods are used because of their flexibility when complex operating conditions are being considered. The usefulness and effectiveness of the proposed method are illustrated by a case study with the KEPCO system.

  • Generally the price of agricultural products has much different characteristics from that of manufacturing products. If products have the limitation of long-term storage and the short period of cultivation, the price of products can be more unstable. Moreover, the price forecasting is very difficult because it doesn't follow any cycle or trend. However price can be regarded as risk instead of uncertainty if we can calculate the probability of price. Reliability analysis techniques are used for forecasting the price change of Chinese cabbage. This study aims to show the usability of reliability analysis for price forecasting. A price-forecasting model was developed based on weather data of the first 10 days of the full cultivating cycle (80 days) 70 days and the average price and standard deviation of wholesale market prices from 1996 to 2001 and applied to forecast the boom price, or the orice which is over the tolerance of market prices, of upland Chinese cabbage in 2002 and 2003. Applied results showed the possibility of boom price forecasting using reliability analysis techniques.

Control strategies of energy storage limiting intermittent output of solar power generation: Planning and evaluation for participation in electricity market

  • Renewable energy generation cannot be consistently predicted or controlled. Therefore, it is currently not widely used in the electricity market, which requires dependable production. In this study, reliability- and variance-based controls of energy storage strategies are proposed to utilize renewable energy as a steady contributor to the electricity market. For reliability-based control, photovoltaic (PV) generation is assumed to be registered in the power generation plan. PV generation yields a reliable output using energy storage units to compensate for PV prediction errors. We also propose a runtime state-ofcharge management method for sustainable operations. With variance-based controls, changes in rapid power generation are limited through ramp rate control. This study introduces new reliability and variance indices as indicators for evaluating these strategies. The reliability index quantifies the degree to which the actual generation realizes the plan, and the variance index quantifies the degree of power change. The two strategies are verified based on simulations and experiments. The reliability index improved by 3.1 times on average over 21 days at a real power plant.

  • This paper in order to reduce the electric disaster damage which is caused by with electric equipment of traditional market developed the electric safety monitoring system which is suitable in traditional market. With for this did the actual condition investigation about electrical equipment of traditional market and we constructed Test-bed for testing reliability of electric safety monitoring system. Also experiment led in Test-bed and confirmed a stability. This paper following will be used with the data for the reliability security of the electric safe system operation which follows in the traditional market actual proof equipment construction which will be advanced.

How Consumers Differently Perceive about Green Market Environments: Across Different Consumer Groups in Green Attitude-behaviour Dimension

  • Consumers differ with respect to the level of green attitudes and green purchase behavious and different consumer would have different perceptions on green market environment. This study attempted to explain how consumers perceive green market environment differently across different consumer groups in attitude-behaviour dimension in green consumption. After identifying the four consumer groups based on their attitude toward green purchase and green purchase behaviours, a multinomial logistic analysis and a stepwise discriminant analysis were conducted. This study found that reliability in green market was the most critical factor that contributes to enlarge positive green consumers. Also, the role of reference persons and adequate price of green products were also found to be important to stimulate green buying. By understanding the different role of those factors in each group of consumers, this study provided group-specific implications to expand green consumers.

Repositioning Strategies Following Fast Food Brand Personality (패스트푸드 브랜드 개성에 따른 재포지셔닝 전략)

  • This study attempted to understand the fast food brand personality in the domestic dining market to present the repositioning strategies within the competitive market. Positive analysis results were as follows. First, the five brand individualities of 'familiarity', 'passion', 'professionalism', 'reliability', and 'refinement' were derived. Second, the deductions made on perceptions of the population using a Biplot based on the brand personality showed that there were significant differences among the brand personality images of the brands, which were the targets of comparison. Third, there were significant between-group differences in the comparisons of perception among the subgroups according to gender, brand reliability, and brand satisfaction. Fourth, there were significant between-group differences in the consumer fast food brand preferences and ideal point. Such studies can provide information useful for establishing marketing differentiating strategies by grasping the brand personality of competing brands in the market.

  • Qualification includes all activities to demonstrate that a product meets and exceeds the reliability goals. Manufacturers need to spend time and resources for the qualification processes under the pressure of reducing time to market, as well as offering a competitive price. Failure to qualify a product could result in economic loss such as warranty and recall claims and the manufacturer could lose the reputation in the market. In order to provide valid and reliable qualification results, manufacturers are required to make extra effort based on the operational and environmental characteristics of the product. This paper discusses optimal interval censoring design for reliability prediction of electronic packages under limited time and resources. This design should provide more accurate assessment of package capability and thus deliver better reliability prediction.
