  • Recently, scanning projects have been carried out in various construction and construction fields for maintenance purposes. The point cloud generated by the scan results is composed of a number of points representing the object to be scanned. The process of extracting the necessary information, including dimensions, from such scan data is called paradox. The reverse engineering process of modeling a point cloud as BIM involves considerable manual work. Owing to the time-consuming reverse engineering nature of the work, the costs increase exponentially when rework requests are made, such as design changes. Reverse engineering automation technology can help improve these problems. On the other hand, the reverse design product is variable depending on the use, and the kind and detail level of the product may be different. This paper proposes the G2BM (Geometry-to-BIM mapping) rule definition method that automatically maps a BIM object from a primitive geometry to a BIM object. G2BM proposes a process definition and a customization method for reverse engineering BIM objects that consider the use case variability.

  • The technology used to recognize the location and surroundings of autonomous vehicles is called SLAM. SLAM standsfor Simultaneously Localization and Mapping and hasrecently been actively utilized in research on autonomous vehicles,starting with robotic research. Expensive GPS, INS, LiDAR, RADAR, and Wheel Odometry allow precise magnetic positioning and mapping in centimeters. However, if it can secure similar accuracy as using cheaper Cameras and GPS data, it will contribute to advancing the era of autonomous driving. In this paper, we present a method for converging monocular camera with RTK-enabled GPS data to perform RMSE 33.7 cm localization and mapping on the urban road.

A Study in the Efficient Collection and Integration of a Sensed Data in a Cloud Computing Environment (클라우드 컴퓨팅 환경에서 센싱된 데이터의 효율적 수집 및 통합에 관한 연구)

  • The sensor network-based service collects data by using the sensor, the data is aware of the situation via the analysis, and the service provider provides a service suitable for the user via the context-awareness. However, this data is generated, it is difficult to match the metadata and standard units. The data integration is required to use the data generated by the different specifications of the sensor efficiently. Accordingly, in this paper we propose a method using an ontology as a method to integrate the data generated by the existing sensors and the new sensor. The ontology is mapping to the standard item and sensors, also include a type and structural difference. The mapping is comprised of two:data mapping, and metadata mapping. There are standard items that are created in this way, type of data exchange between services. This can solve the heterogeneous problem generated by sensors.

  • The noise management in the interior of the power plant is difficult because the interior is large and the noise level varies greatly from location to location. Therefore, a noise visualization system capable of analyzing the noise distribution is required in order to effectively manage the interior noise. A noise mapping system was developed that can model the inside of the turbine room and create a noise map by measuring the noise level at selected points. And in order to increase the reliability of the model, the model was modified through a method of comparing the noise map and the actual noise measurement results. Facility abnormalities can be determined through regular analysis of noise maps, and a method of effectively managing the interior noise is presented by comparing and analyzing the frequencies and levels of the current and previous noise at a specific point. By using the mapping system, it is possible to establish noise countermeasures that can improve the working environment, check the machine for abnormalities, and increase the reliability of the facility through preventive maintenance.

  • This study relates to a method and device for extracting and tracking moving objects. In particular, objects are extracted using different images between adjacent images, and the location information of the extracted object is continuously transmitted to provide accurate location information of at least one moving object. It relates to a method and device for extracting and tracking moving objects based on tracking moving objects. People tracking, which started as an expression of the interaction between people and computers, is used in many application fields such as robot learning, object counting, and surveillance systems. In particular, in the field of security systems, cameras are used to recognize and track people to automatically detect illegal activities. The importance of developing a surveillance system, that can detect, is increasing day by day.

  • Recently, with the recent rapid development of memory technology, various types of memory are developed and are used to improve processing speed in data management systems. In particular, NAND flash memory is used as a main media for storing data in memory-based storage devices because it has a nonvolatile characteristic that it can maintain data even at the power off state. However, since the recently studied memory-based storage device consists of various types of memory such as MRAM and PRAM as well as NAND flash memory, research on memory management technology is needed to improve data processing performance and efficiency of media in a storage system composed of different types of memories. In this paper, we propose a memory mapping scheme thought technique for efficiently managing data in the storage device composed of various memories for data management. The proposed idea is a method of managing different memories using a single mapping table. This method can unify the address scheme of data and reduce the search cost of data stored in different memories for data tiering.

  • In this paper, a new voice personality transformation method is proposed. which modifies speaker-dependent feature variables in the speech signals. The proposed method takes the cepstrum vectors and pitch as the transformation paremeters, which represent vocal tract transfer function and excitation signals, respectively. To transform these parameters, a multiple response classification and regression tree (MR-CART) is employed. MR-CART is the vector extended version of a conventional CART, whose response is given by the vector form. We evaluated the performance of the proposed method by comparing with a previously proposed codebook mapping method. We also quantitatively analyzed the performance of voice transformation and the complexities according to various observations. From the experimental results for 4 speakers, the proposed method objectively outperforms a conventional codebook mapping method. and we also observed that the transformed speech sounds closer to target speech.

DNA Watermarking Method based on Random Codon Circular Code (랜덤 코돈 원형 부호 기반의 DNA 워터마킹)

  • This paper proposes a DNA watermarking method for the privacy protection and the prevention of illegal copy. The proposed method allocates codons to random circular angles by using random mapping table and selects triplet codons for embedding target with the help of the Lipschitz regularity value of local modulus maxima of codon circular angles. Then the watermark is embedded into circular angles of triplet codons without changing the codes of amino acids in a DNA. The length and location of target triplet codons depend on the random mapping table for 64 codons that includes start and stop codons. This table is used as the watermark key and can be applied on any codon sequence regardless of the length of sequence. If this table is unknown, it is very difficult to detect the length and location of them for extracting the watermark. We evaluated our method and DNA-crypt watermarking of Heider method on the condition of similar capacity. From evaluation results, we verified that our method has lower base changing rate than DNA-crypt and has lower bit error rate on point mutation and insertions/deletions than DNA-crypt. Furthermore, we verified that the entropy of random mapping table and the locaton of triplet codons is high, meaning that the watermark security has high level.

Estimation of Illuminant Chromaticity by Analysis of Human Skin Color Distribution (피부색 칼라 분포 특성을 이용한 조명 색도 검출)

  • This paper proposes a method of estimating the illumination chromaticity of a scene in which an image is taken. Storring and Bianco proposed a method of estimating illuminant chromaticity using skin color. Storring et al. used skin color distribution characteristics and black body locus, but there is a problem that the link between the locus and CIE-xy data is reduced. Bianco et al. estimated the illuminant chromaticity by comparing the skin color distribution in standard lighting with the skin color distribution in the input image. This method is difficult to measure and secure as much skin color as possible in various illumination. The proposed method can estimate the illuminant chromaticity for any input image by analyzing the relationship between the skin color information and the illuminant chromaticity. The estimation method is divided into an analysis stage and a test stage, and the data set was classified into an analysis group and a test group and used. Skin chromaticity is calculated by obtaining skin color areas from all input images of the analysis group, respectively. A mapping is obtained by analyzing the correlation between the average set of skin chromaticity and the reference illuminant chromaticity set. The calculated mapping is applied to all input images of the analysis group to estimate the illuminant chromaticity, calculate the error with the reference illuminant chromaticity, and repeat the above process until there is no change in the error to obtain a stable mapping. The obtained mapping is applied to the test group images similar to the analysis stage to estimate the illuminant chromaticity. Since there is no independent data set containing skin area and illuminant reference information, the experimental data set was made using some of the images of the Intel TAU data set. Compared to Finlayson, a similar theory-based existing method, it showed performance improvement of more than 40%, Zhang 11%, and Kim 16%.

Real-Time Rendering of a Displacement Map using an Image Pyramid (이미지 피라미드를 이용한 변위 맵의 실시간 렌더링)

  • displacement mapping enables us to add realistic details to polygonal meshes without changing geometry. We present a real-time artifacts-free inverse displacement mapping method. In each pixel, we construct a ray and trace the ray through the displacement map to find an intersection. To skip empty regions safely, we traverse the image pyramid of displacement map in top-down order. Furthermore, when the displacement map is enlarged, intersection with bilinear interpolated displacement map can be found. When the displacement map is at distance, our method supports mipmap-like prefiltering to enhance image quality and speed. Experimental results show that our method can produce correct images even at grazing view angles. Rendering speed of a test scene is over hundreds of frames per second and the influence of resolution of displacement map to rendering speed is little. Our method is simple enough to be added to existing virtual reality systems easily.
