Flood risk map, flood damage map, disaster information map, inundation trace map are involved with the cartographic analysis of flood inundation based on prevention, preparation, restoration, response from natural disasters such as flood, flooding, etc. In this study, the analysis for channel and basin characteristics Chungju dam to Paldang dam of South han river after four river project. Flood scenario is selected to take advantage of design flood level of schematic design for river. Flood inundation of one dimensional non-uniform flow by using HEC-RAS with basin characteristics is accomplished and two dimensional unsteady flow was interpreted by using FLUMEN. Frequency analysis is carried out about each abundance of South han river for 100 year period, 200 year period and 500 year period. Flooding disaster area of 100 year period on 0.5m damage functions is 2378.8ha, 200 year period on 0.5m damage functions is 3155.2ha, 500 year period on 0.5m damage functions is 3995.3ha respectively. It will be significant data for decision making to establish inundation trace map for providing basic plan for river maintenance, land use plan, flood protection plan, application plan and getting information of flood expectation area.

Owing to the changing climate and recent flood events, flood damage caused by river levee collapse and overflow is on the rise in Korea, making it necessary to enhance river levee maintenance technologies to deal with various flood damage scenarios. This paper proposes the evaluation system of a river-levee safety map to improve maintenance efficiency and disaster responsiveness. A river-levee safety map, indicating sliding, piping, visual inspection, scouring, and safety index of a levee fill material on a GIS map will enable the dangerous zone to be identified visually and the development of proactive measures to deal with it. This will maximize the river-levee maintenance efficiency, which is a break from traditional practice in that restoration measures are taken only after the damage has occurred. This study includes scouring and levee fill material in addition to previously-proposed sliding, piping and visual inspections. The research activities conducted in the study include 1) categorization of scouring and levee fill material based on document and data examination, 2) evaluation of sliding and piping at 5 locations on the left levee in the Nam river according to the duration time of the flood water level, and 3) evaluation of the characteristics of scouring and levee fill material at 9 locations on the left/right levee in the Nam River. The river levee safety map proposed in this study would be more useful and practical but further study on the manual for river management organization, repair and reinforcement methods, and budget is required.
High resolution satellite image analysis has been recognized as an effective technique for monitoring local land-cover and atmospheric changes. In this study, a new high resolution map for land-cover was generated using both high-resolution IKONOS image and conventional land-use mapping. Fuzzy classification method was applied to classify land-cover, with minimum operator used as a tool for joint membership functions. In separateness analysis, the values were not great for all bands due to discrepancies in spectral reflectance by seasonal variation. The land-cover map generated in this study revealed that conifer forests and farm land in the ground and tidal flat and beach in the ocean were highly changeable. The kappa coefficient was 0.94% and the overall accuracy of classification was 95.0%, thus suggesting a overall high classification accuracy. Accuracy of classification in each class was generally over 90%, whereas low classification accuracy was obtained for classes of mixed forest, river and reservoir. This may be a result of the changes in classification, e.g. reclassification of paddy field as water area after water storage or mixed use of several classification class due to similar spectral patterns. Seasonal factors should be considered to achieve higher accuracy in classification class. In conclusion, firstly, IKONOS image are used to generated a new improved high resolution land-cover map. Secondly, IKONOS image could serve as useful complementary data for decision making when combined with GIS spatial data to produce land-use map.

Historical maps are precious materials, which show spatial distribution of land use, streets and so on at the time when the maps were produced. In analysis of historical maps, the most practical method is to compare them with the present ones, for instance by overlaying them. However, the low precision, in the geometrical sense, of the historical maps makes the task of comparison very difficult. This drawback brings us the idea to incorporate the historical maps into GIS after rubber-sheet transformation, i.e. geometric correction, of them. It makes comparing and overlaying multiple maps from different time periods. Furthermore, it gives map-scales to the historical maps, which are not in general represented on the old maps, and if we allow ourselves to ignore the changes in terrain from past to present, it will make overlaying of present contour lines on the historical maps. As a result, we can bring the points of view of quantitative consideration and three-dimensional visualization into analyses of historical map. We have addressed incorporating historical maps produced in Edo period (1603-1867) in Japan into our GIS for Tokyo. This article shows the outline of our procedures and some applications, e.g., overlaying different maps from Edo period to present, quantitative analyses of land use in Edo, and visualization of landscape of Edo.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the landscape characteristics by making DEM, land use map, and the land cover map on the Odesan national park, and to suggest the method of visual management through the visibility analysis. In the change of land use district, the natural environment district decreased, the natural preservation district extended relatively. It means that the tendency of preservation was strengthened. However, the development possibility has increased by increase as for the area of the village district. In the land cover change, it appeared agriculture area and city area increase in the natural environmental district. The most area where visible frequency appeared highly belonged to the natural preservation district and forest region. However some areas belonged to the natural environmental area, and continuous landscape management was required.

The purposes of this research are to estimate area of greenable roof and to monitor maintaining of green roofs using World-View 2 images. The contents of this research are development of World-View 2 application technologies for estimation of green roof area and development of monitoring and maintaining of green roofs using World-View 2 images. The available green roof areas in Gwangjin-gu Seoul, a case for this study, were estimated using digital maps and World-View 2 images. The available green roof area is approximately 12.17% ($2,153,700m^2$) of the total area, and the roof vegetation accounts for 0.46% ($80,660m^2$) of the total area. For verification of the extracted roof vegetation, Vworld 3D Desktop map service was applied. The study results may be used as a decision-making tool by the government and local governments in determining the feasibility of green roof projects. In addition, the project implementer may periodically monitor to see whether roof greening has maintained for efficient management of projects, and a vast amount of World-View 2 images may be regularly used before and after the projects to contribute to sharing of satellite images information.

We propose the Sparse Feature Convolutional Neural Network (SFCNN) to reduce the volume of convolutional neural networks (CNNs). Despite the superior classification performance of CNNs, their enormous network volume requires high computational cost and long processing time, making real-time applications such as online-training difficult. We propose an advanced network that reduces the volume of conventional CNNs by producing a region-based sparse feature map. To produce the sparse feature map, two complementary region-based value extraction methods, cluster max extraction and local value extraction, are proposed. Cluster max is selected as the main function based on experimental results. To evaluate SFCNN, we conduct an experiment with two conventional CNNs. The network trains 59 times faster and tests 81 times faster than the VGG network, with a 1.2% loss of accuracy in multi-class classification using the Caltech101 dataset. In vehicle classification using the GTI Vehicle Image Database, the network trains 88 times faster and tests 94 times faster than the conventional CNNs, with a 0.1% loss of accuracy.
In identifying flood vulnerable areas, three methods are generally deployed: the geomorphology method which is based on topographic features; the past evidence method based on observed data of past actual floods; and, prediction of flood areas through hydrologic models. This study aims to improve the prediction model of the geomorphology method through the application of fuzzy method in GIS modeling. The generally used GIS method of superimposing thematic map layers assumes crisp boundaries of the layers, which results in either risk-averse solutions or risk-taking solutions. The introduction of fuzzy concepts to processing of evaluation criteria (DEM, slope, aspect) solves this problem. As the result of applying the fuzzy method to a test site in the west Nak-Dong river, similar flood vulnerable areas were predicted as when using the conventional Boolean criteria. The resulting map, however, showed varying degree of uncertainty of flooding in these areas. This extra information is deemed to be valuable in taking phased actions during flood response, leading to a more effective and timely decision-making.

Conclusion: The Outcomes of this study will guide to develop possible areas of oncology advanced practice nurses in hospital setting and facilitate the use of oncology nurse practitioners by developing care coordinator roles in cancer care.
"The Plan for the Development of the National Geographic Information System" designates the following six major thematic maps as the main subject of digital mapping project: topographic-cadastral maps; administrative boundary maps; land use maps; road network maps; national land zoning maps; and urban planning maps. Carrying out the digital mapping project requires standards and guidelines for digitizing process. However, there is neither standards nor guidelines with regard to thematic map production. This study describes the steps involved in producing thematic maps and provides the best procedural alternative for the production of thematic maps. Based on procedural alternative suggested by this study, actual digital maps have been experimentally produced for the selected area, Anyang-Si Dongan-Gu. The results of this experimental work have been utilized to government for not only making the guidelines but also initiating plans for the development of thematic map production.roduction.
