Cell Activity of ELID-Machined Titanium Surface (ELID 경면 연삭 가공된 티타늄 표면의 세포 활성도)

  • We investigated the cell activity of controlled titanium surface using various grinding methods including ELID (Electrolytic In-Process Dressing) grinding method. The influence of titanium surface condition by each grinding process on the cell activity was evaluated by ALP activity of MSC(Mesenchymal Stem Cells). The ALP activity of controlled surface by ELID grinding process using # 2000 wheel was higher than that of other titanium surface. The morphological, chemical properties of machined surface by grinding method was observed using various analytical method.

  • This study is about comparison of thermal and flow characteristics on the wind & radiant heat shield with STS mesh type screen for offshore. Numerical analysis was conducted to find transmission coefficient in the mesh and then analyse the flow characteristics about wind & radiant heat shield. The experiment method of solar radiation has been used as thermal radiation source to get the performance of radiant heat shield measurement. The sensor radiation device has been used to measure the reduction of solar radiation with various size of cells and at a distance of 0.5m and 1m from the cold face of the wind & radiant heat shield.

  • Vehicle clutch measurement for disc cushion variation was developed for the production of high quality Dual clutch transmissions. The developed device is composed of load cells for load measurement and LVDT for measuring the distance variation measurement in cushion variation. The servo motor-driven electric press for flexible loads that was developed was controlled by a PC-based HMI system, LabVIEW, and the device was able to continuously record real time measurement data with the accuracies of ${\pm}0.1\;kgf$ load and ${\pm}5{\mu}m$ cushion amount, which is far above the requirements of commercial vehicle standards.

Fabrication of Porous Alumina Ceramics Using Hollow Microspheres as the Pore-forming Agent

  • Porous alumina ceramics with two different pore sizes were fabricated using hollow microspheres as the pore-forming agent. The relative density, total porosity, and microstructure of the obtained alumina ceramics were studied. It was found that the total porosity of sintered samples with different amounts of hollow microsphere content, from 2.0 to 4.0 wt%, was 69.3-75.6%. The interconnected and spherical cell morphology was obtained with 3.0 wt% hollow microsphere content. The resulting ceramics consist of a hierarchical structure with large-sized cells, and small-sized pores in the cell walls. Moreover, the compressive strength of the sintered samples varied from 8.3-11.5 MPa, corresponding to hollow microsphere contents of 2.0-4.0 wt%.

  • This paper addresses the issue of Renewable Energy for Electricity Storage device is one of the NAS (Sodium-Sulfur) battery will be about the module. For safety reasons, not the actual battery cells using a dummy cell in the module's operating temperature setting to examine the characteristics of the insulation vacuum of the wall temperature and external temperature changes measured over time. Upper and lower boundaries of the wall vacuum insulation characteristics cotton C intervals over time, average $5^{\circ}C$, but the temperature is rising, 4C section with little temperature change did not occur. On the other hand, about $3^{\circ}C$ in section 4D, and it was confirmed that the temperature rises. Wall vacuum insulation characteristics over time to look at the experiments and measurements are described.

  • This paper presents an operation sequence-based approach for determining machine cell layout in a cellular manufacturing environment. The proposed model considers the sequence of operations in evaluating the intercell and intracell movements. In this paper, design of cellular layout has an objective of minimization of total material flow among facilities, where the total material flow is defined as a weighted sum of both intercell and intracell part movements. The proposed algorithm is developed by using genetic algorithm and can be used to design an optimal cellular layout which can cope with changes of shop floor situation by considering constraints such as the number of machine cells and the number of machines in a machine cell.

  • This paper presents small hydrogen regulator for the mobile fuel cell. Mobile fuel cell is generally classified into open-end type and dead-end type. In the open-end type, flow rate of hydrogen is constantly controlled, while pressure of hydrogen is constantly maintained in the dead-end type. Considering the efficiency and stability of the fuel usage, dead-end type is more suitable with mobile fuel cell. Mobile fuel cell operated by dead-end mode requires hydrogen regulator which controls the hydrogen pressure from 0.1bar to 0.5bar within 3% error. In this paper, small hydrogen regulator (volume of 2.6cc) was fabricated by stainless steel. Regulation characteristics was experimentally evaluated.

  • This paper is concerned with development of digital assembly cell. Automotive industries, try to find out new welding technologies to replace the existing spot welding which is not appropriate anymore. Because of many advantages like good accessibility, welding quality and fast welding speed, laser welding seems the most appropriate solution for automobile manufactures. To apply this technology to welding of car body, experiments must be conducted according to material, geometry and layer in welding area. Based on the data of these experiments, the laser welding process and the quality of stitches are identified. And then, the comparison between the requirements of welding and the potential of equipments allows selecting the best equipments. By using the digital manufacturing, the configurations of laser welding cell are carried out. After all, the optimal laser welding cell is chosen by the evaluation of alternative cells with technical and organizational criteria.

  • Effects of such factors as polymerization temperature and a newly synthesized oligomeric photoinitiator(PEDI380) on the electro-optic characteristics of polymer/LC composite films prepared by the UV-curing method were investigated. The polymer-dispersed liquid crystal cells were made with oligomeric photoinitiator PEDI380 by UV-curing method exhibited both low driving volta ge($V_90$) and high contrast ratio under optimum formulation condition.

  • Anti-tumor, anti-viral and anti-leukemic activity of cordycepin are well known. Adenosine was reported to induce an apoptosis in human leukemia cells. CM has been widely used as traditional medicinal herbs in China. Previously, we reported the results relating the isolation and characterization of cordycepin and adenosine from the cultured fruiting bodies of CM. We further studied the manufacturing process of CCCA for the prupose of developing anti-leukemic agents. (omitted)
