  • This paper formally defines a role-driven security and access control model of a business process in order eventually to provide a theoretical basis for realizing the secured business process management systems. That is, we propose a graphical representation and formal description of the mechanism that generates a set of role-driven security and access control models from a business process modeled by the information control net(ICN) modeling methodology that is a typical business process modeling approach for defining and specifying business processes. Based upon the mechanism, we are able to design and accomplish a secured business process management system that provides an unified resource access control mechanism of the business process management engine domain's and the application domain's. Finally, we strongly believe that the secured access control policies from the role-driven security and access control model can be easily transformed into the RBAC(Role-based Access Control) model that is a standardized security technology for computer and communications systems of commercial and civilian government organizations.

  • The present automated manufacturing environment is very different when the classical statistical process control method based on batch processing were used. Therefore these must be replaced by automated statistical process control method. In this point of view, this paper intends to develop the automated statistical process control method which can be implemented in the present automated manufacturing environment. Specially this study developed the rules to identify the special causes of the manufacturing process in the aspect of the 100 PPM management, and a numerical example is demonstrated to verify the usefulness of these rules.

  • Management control is the process by which managers ensure that resources are obtained and used effectively and efficiently in achieving the organization's objectives. This paper explores relationships between characteristics of R&D and management control. R&D characteristics measured in this research include the degree of technological uncertainty and the measurability of outputs. Management control was classified and categorized into observable dimensions of control such as behavior, budget, process, results and personnel control. The relationships were tested with questionnaire survey data from a sample of 206 principal investigators(PIs) in the thirteen Government supported research institutes(GSRIs) in Korea. There are significant negative relations between the degree of technological uncertainty and budget, process and personnel control, and significant positive relations between the measurability of outputs and process, results and personnel control. These results indicate that the relations between task characteristics and management control in R&D are different from those to be found in other activities of organizations.

  • This study aims at establishing JIT production management system to enable manage the resources input into from procurement through construction based on correct identification of the process, an analysis on the amount of input materials and information sharing. This study has focused on the process control and working process of rebar work in domestic apartment house construction where the overall scope of Process from the planning phase to the construction phase has been analyzed in this study. Also construction phase was selected for the application of a sample case. A basic model for JIT production was generated with these processes. Furthermore A questionnaire and the on-site survey with process, checklist and control data were prepared and performed for the application of JIT production management model into rebar work. The governing scopes of JIT production management system include process management, material management, yard loading and moving management and inventory control, and the operation of each control item

  • Purpose: In this study, we research the hurdle rate method to suggest the robust control chart for a contaminated process less vulnerable to fault values than existing control charts. Methods: We produce the results of p, ARL values to compare the performance of two control charts, $\bar{x}-s$ that has been used typically and TM-TS that is suggested by this paper. We implement the simulation focusing on three cases, change of deviation, mean and both of them. Results: We draw a conclusion that the TM-TS control chart has better efficiency than $\bar{x}-s$ control chart over the three cases. Conclusion: We insist that applying TM-TS control chart for a polluted process is more effective than $\bar{x}-s$ control chart.

  • The $\overline{x}$ control chart for the process mean and either the R or s control chart for the process dispersion have been used together to monitor the manufacturing processes. However, it has been pointed out that this procedure is flawed by a fault that makes it difficult to capture the behavior of process condition visually by considering the relationship between the shift in the process mean and the change in the process dispersion because the respective characteristics are monitored by an individual control chart in parallel. Then, the ($\overline{x}$, s) control chart has been proposed to enable the process managers to monitor the changes in the process mean, process dispersion, or both. On the one hand, identifying which process parameters are responsible for out-of-control condition of process is one of the important issues in the process management. It is especially important in the ($\overline{x}$, s) control chart where some parameters are monitored at a single plane. The previous literature has proposed the multiple decision method based on the statistical hypothesis tests to identify the parameters responsible for out-of-control condition. In this paper, we propose how to identify parameters responsible for out-of-control condition using the information criterion. Then, the effectiveness of proposed method is shown through some numerical experiments.

  • This paper develops a process monitoring system for real-time process control. The practical case is studied on a small and medium marine equipment company. For business process reengineering of the company, we adopt an approach based on information engineering methodology, which consists of four stages : planning, analysis, design, and implementation. The system is developed for Client/Server environment. We discuss the constructing of hardware system for real-time process control at low cost. The developed system is composed of interrelated modules for item master and BOM management, process control, facility management, SQC and work report.

  • Statistical process control (SPC) is an important technique for monitoring and managing the manufacturing process. In spite of its easiness and effectiveness, some problematic sides of application exist such that the SPC techniques are hardly reflect the changes of the process conditions. Especially, update of control limits at the right time plays an important role in acquiring a reasonable performance of control charts. Therefore, we propose the control chart performance evaluation index (CPEI) based on count data model to monitor and manage the performance of control charts. The CPEI could indicate the degree of control chart performance and be helpful to detect the proper update cycle of control limits in real time. Experiments using real manufacturing data show that the proper update intervals are made by proposed method.

  • Autoregressed Controller, which have trend algorithm, seeks to minimize variability by transferring the output variable to the related process input variable, while multivariate process control techniques seek to reduce variability by detecting and eliminating assignable causes of variation. In the case of process control, a very reasonable objective is to try to minimize the variance of the output deviations from the target or set point. We also investigate algorithm with relevant Shewhart chart, Theoretical control charts, precontrol and process capability. To help the people who want to make the theoretical system, we compare the main techniques in "a study on the relation between multivariate process control techniques and trend algorithms".
