Taeniacanthid copepods Anchistrotos kojimensis Do and Ho, 1983 were collected from the branchial cavities of stichaeid fish, Ernogrammus hexagrammus (Schlegel) and yellowfin goby, Acanthogobius flavimanus (Temminck and Schlegel) in Korean waters. Here, we provide the first description of a male of Anchistrotos Do and Ho, 1983. A close comparison of the specimens of A. kojimensis collected from Korea with the original description revealed differences in the adult female: (1) the caudal ramus bears seven setae (seta I minute); (2) the maxillule with small knob-like process anteriorly; (3) leg 5 ornamented with patched spinules distally and having row of spinules at base of each spine and distal seta. The first description of the adult male reveals the following features: (1) the distal abdominal somite had rows of spinules anteriorly and near insertion of each caudal ramus; (2) the postantennal process is more elongate than in the female; (3) the basis of maxilliped is with two prosimomedial setae, two longitudinal rows of stout denticles found on posteromedial surface and row of spinules on anteromedial surface; and (4) the second endopodal segment is a strongly curved claw, with a row of stout denticles along a concave margin, two long and one small setae.

Purpose : The purpose of this study was to obtain the description of the mandibular bone quality of male and female patients between 40-60 years old and their differences based on mandibular cortical bone thickness measured using Mental Index (MI). Materials and Methods : Forty digital panoramic radiographs, which consisted of twenty male and twenty female patients, 40-60 years old, were observed. Mandibular cortical bone thickness was measured using MI on both sides of the mandible. The average MI score of two groups were then assessed using t-sample independent test. Results : There were significant differences of mandibular bone quality based on mandibular cortical bone thickness measurement using MI between male and female patients (p<0.05). Conclusion : Mandibular bone quality based on cortical bone thickness measurement using MI of male and female patients indicated a significant difference.

Caligys latus Kim, 1995는 C. latus Byrnes, 1987의 신참이물동명으로서, 전자의 학명을 폐기하고 새로운 학명인 C. parvilatus를 부여하였다. 아울러 이 종의 수컷을 처음 기재하였다.

한국고유종인 밭고랑거미과의 봉화밭고랑거미Agroeca bonghwaensis (Seo, 2011) 수컷을 측정치 및 형태학적 도해와 함께 처음으로 기재한다. 봉화밭고랑거미의 수컷은 A. brunnea (Blackwall, 1833) 수컷의 더듬이다리기관과 유사하나 끝부분이 뭉뚝한 후측면돌기와 기부가 넓고 끝부분이 넓은 갈고리 모양의 중부돌기로 쉽게 구분된다.

An eumenid subspecies Pararrhynchium paradoxum koreanum Giordani Soika, 1986 is newly combined to the genus Pseudepipona de Saussure, 1856. Although tegula of this subspecies is similar to one of Allodynerus, shape of scutellar crest and related structures in both sexes and peculiar shape of mandible in male are critically justifiable for the genus Pseudepipona. This form is a discrete species in the genus, thus named as Pseudepipona koreanum (Giordani Soika, 1986) n. comb. The original description of this species was based on the sole male specimen and hardly diagnostic, just providing coloration compared with the nominotypical subspecies of P. paradoxum. A redescription of males and description of the hitherto unknown female are provided.

A noctuid species, Avitta puncta Wileman is reported for the first time from Korea. One male of A. puncta was collected from Island Gageo-do, which located at the most southwestern part of the Korean Peninsula. Diagnosis of the species is provided with brief description of adult including male genitalia.

A sterrhine species, Organopoda carnearia (Walker) is reported for the first time from Korea. One male of O. carnearia was collected from an island on Dadohae National Park, Jeonnam Province. Diagnosis of the species is provided with brief description of adult including male genitalia.

Three baetid mayflies in the genus Procloeon Bengtsson are described from Thailand: P. narumonae, n. sp. (male and female adults and larva), P. rubeosternum, n. sp. (male and female adults, male and female subimagos, and larva), and P. siamensis, n. sp. (larva). Descriptions of known stages with line-drawings of diagnostic characters, material data, diagnoses, habitat data, and taxonomic remarks are provided.

조령연두꼬마거미(Chrysso lativentris)의 수컷이 그림과 함께 최초로 기재된다. 수컷은 다리식이 암컷과 다르며 북부 후단의 돌기물이 암컷보다 더 작다. 촉지의 중부돌기의 구조가 독특하다.

A chaetiliid isopod, Symmius caudatus Richardson, 1904 is newly recorded from Korea with detailed description and illustrations. This species is characterized by the following features: head has well-defined ocular lobes anteriorly projecting; all pereonites do not have any projections dorsally; maxillule has 2 long plumose and 1 short denticulate setae on inner lobe; propodus of pereopod 1 has 11 stout circumplumose setae on ventral margin in female; and pereopod 7 is ambulatory. In this paper, we present the descriptions and illustrations of mature and juvenile males, which have not been known from previous studies, as well as those of female. We also suggested a revised diagnosis of the genus Symmius.
