Main Spindle System has effect on performance of machine tools and working quality as well as is required of high reliability. Especially, it takes great importance in producing automobiles which includes a large number of working processes. However, main spindle unit in Machine tools are often cases where damage occurs do not meet the design life due to driving in harsh environments. This is when excessive maintenance and repair of machine tools or for damage stability has resulted in huge economic losses. Therefore, this studying propose a method of accelerated life test for diagnosing and prognosis the state of life assessment main spindle system. Time status monitoring of diagnostic data - through the analysis of the frequency band signals were carried out inside the main spindle bearing condition monitoring and fault diagnosis.
Nowadays, since there are so many big data available everywhere, those big data can be used to find useful information to improve design and operation by using various analysis methods such as data mining. Especially if we have event log data that has execution history data of an organization such as case_id, event_time, event (activity), performer, etc., then we can apply process mining to discover the main process model in the organization. Once we can find the main process from process mining, we can utilize it to improve current working environment. In this paper we developed a new method to find a final diagnosis of a patient, who needs several procedures (medical test and examination) to diagnose disease of the patient by using process mining approach. Some patients can be diagnosed by only one procedure, but there are certainly some patients who are very difficult to diagnose and need to take several procedures to find exact disease name. We used 2 million procedure log data and there are 397 thousands patients who took 2 and more procedures to find a final disease. These multi-procedure patients are not frequent case, but it is very critical to prevent wrong diagnosis. From those multi-procedure taken patients, 4 procedures were discovered to be a main process model in the hospital. Using this main process model, we can understand the sequence of procedures in the hospital and furthermore the relationship between diagnosis and corresponding procedures.
This study is for implementation of PC based Motor fault diagnosis system. By using harmonics and current signals of the motor, this system diagnoses the motor condition by accumulated harmonic contribution rate. In this proposed system that was composed of 5 parts. A sensor, connection box, evaluation board, device server, and main computer are those. There were two types of sensor, one was harmonic sensor the other was current sensors. The signal was acquired by sensor, and transferred to evaluation board. Second one is connection box. Because the output type of sensor and input type of evaluation board is different, connection box was necessary. Third one was evaluation board. The signal from the sensor was converted to digital signal in evaluation board. And this signal was transferred to device server. Fourth one was device server. Device server transferred the data from evaluation board to main computer. And the last one was other parts controlled by main computer. In main computer, there were communication and diagnosis algorithms. The result was derived by main computer. In the result, there were 12 categories and 5 levels of motor conditions. The proposed system had some advantages comparing with stand alone type commercial motor fault diagnosis system. The first, by using remote access it was easier to get the conditions of motor. The second, there was no need to handle the sensors when users measured the motor signals. By this property, no one was necessary at motor location site. The third, this system was less restricted by times and places than commercial stand alone type diagnosis system. Therefore users can operate this system only using the main computer. Once the sensors are installed at the motor, users doesn't need to move to check up the condition of motors. Moreover, if there is ethernet hub, many motors can be not only diagnosed at once but also decreased its cost.

This is a research thesis on the development of a monitoring and diagnosis device that prevents the risk of an accident through monitoring and diagnosis of a modular Main Circuit Breaker (MCB) using Vacuum Interrupter (VI) for Korean high-speed rolling stock. In this paper, a comprehensive MCB monitoring and diagnosis was performed by converging vacuum level diagnosis of interrupter, operating coil monitoring of MCB and environmental temperature/humidity monitoring of modular box. In addition, to develop an algorithm that is expected to have a similar data processing before the actual field test of the MCB monitoring and diagnosis device in 2023, the cluster analysis and factor analysis were performed using the WEKA data mining technique on the big data of Korean railroad transformer, which was previously researched by Tae Hee Evolution with KORAIL.
Problem definition is as important as problem solving in decision making. Decision makers, however, tend to see problem partly or to define it unclearly. The researchers on decision making tend to lay a focus only on the Process of solving the given problem. This dissertation empirically studied the Problem diagnosis and definition in the decision making process. This study developed three kinds of DSS(Decision Support System) for the research and analyzed the effectiveness of the problem diagnosis and definition using DSS developed in this study. The three kinds of DSS are K-T(Kennel and Tregoe) DSS which is a method of table-styled information Presentation, and F-N(Fact-Net) DSS and C-E(Cause and Effect) DSS which are methods of graphic-styled information presentation. The empirical study was conducted twice; the pilot test and the main test. The samples of experiment are 218 students for the pilot test and 259 students for the main test. The author used K-T DSS and F-N DSS for the pilot test, and the revised K-T DSS and C-E DSS for the main test. A questionnaire survey method was included in the main test process The result of the study shows that the group using DSS in problem diagnosis and definition is more effective than the group not using DSS. A table-styled information presentation DSS, K-T, turns out more effective than a graphic-styled information presentation DSS, F-N, K-T DSS and C-E DSS showed no significant differences in the effectiveness in the main test. These results indicate that the use of DSS in the stage of problem diagnosis and definition is very effective and the methods and types of system design are a significant factors for DSS development.

Bearings are one of the main components of mechanical equipment and one of the primary components prone to faults. Therefore, conducting fault diagnosis on bearings is a key issue in mechanical equipment research. Belief rule base (BRB) is essentially an expert system that effectively integrates qualitative and quantitative information, demonstrating excellent performance in fault diagnosis. However, class imbalance often occurs in the diagnosis task, which poses challenges to the diagnosis. Models with interpretability can enhance decision-makers' trust in the output results. However, the randomness in the optimization process can undermine interpretability, thereby reducing the level of trustworthiness in the results. Therefore, a hierarchical BRB model based on extreme gradient boosting (XGBoost) feature selection with interpretability (HFS-IBRB) is proposed in this paper. Utilizing a main BRB alongside multiple sub-BRBs allows for the conversion of a multi-classification challenge into several distinct binary classification tasks, thereby leading to enhanced accuracy. By incorporating interpretability constraints into the model, interpretability is effectively ensured. Finally, the case study of the actual dataset of bearing fault diagnosis demonstrates the ability of the HFS-IBRB model to perform accurate and interpretable diagnosis.

This paper deals with a parameter estimation of the DC-DC converter system for its diagnosis. Especially, we present the results of parameter estimation for the DC-DC converter model by the system identification method. The parameter estimation for the DC-DC converter system aims at the diagnosis of its operating status. For the operating status diagnosis of the DC-DC converter system, we assume that the DC-DC converter system is an equivalent model of the Buck converter and estimate the main parameter for on-line diagnosis. In addition, for verification of an estimated parameter, we compare a bode plot of the estimated system transfer function and measurement results of the HP4194 instrument. It is a control system analyzer for system transfer function measurement. Our results confirm that the main parameter for diagnosis of the DC-DC converter system can be estimated by the system identification method and that the aging status of the system can be predicted by these results on operating status.
