철도차량용 전자접촉기 전자코일의 전자기력 특성 연구 (Investigation of Electromagnetic Force for Magnetic Contactor of Railway Vehicles)

  • 전자접촉기는 전기 회로에 사용하는 개폐기 중 하나로 산업계 전반에 걸쳐서 폭 넓게 사용되고 있다. 이 전자접촉기의 구동부인 전자코일은 전기 회로를 개폐하는 역할을 맡고 있고 전자접촉기의 동작 성능에 중요한 역할을 한다. 이 논문은 유한요소법을 이용하여 실험데이터를 반영한 해석 모델을 구현하였으며 인가전압과 권선수의 변화에 대한 전자기력의 특성 확인을 통해 해석 모델을 검증하였다. 두 전자코일의 구동 코어와 고정 코어의 접촉부 변화에 따른 전자기력의 특성을 연구하였다. Push형 솔레노이드 구조의 전자코일에서 두 코어 접촉부의 기울기에 따른 구조의 전자기력 특성을 접촉부의 자속밀도 분포를 통해 해석하였다. 또한 접촉부 사이 air gap의 변화에 의한 구조가 자속밀도 분포에 미치는 영향을 파악하였다. 이를 통하여 전자코일의 코어 접촉면에 따른 전자기력의 특성을 연구하였다.

혼합절연을 이용한 초저손실급 주상변압기 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Development of Super Low-loss Type Pole Transformer Using the Hybrid Insulation)

  • 주상변압기는 고객에게 직접 전력을 공급하는 설비로서 전력공급의 안정성확보를 위한 중요한 기자재 중 하나이다. 하지만 제조결함에 의한 3년 이내의 초기고장 또는 13년이 초과 사용한 후의 열화고장이 빈번히 발생하고 있어 변압기 품질분석을 통한 신뢰성이 개선된 주상변압기 개발이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 열적, 기계적, 전기적으로 성능이 향상된 새로운 모델의 혼합절연 주상변압기를 개발하였다. 변압기의 기계적, 열적특성을 향상시키기 위한 혼합절연 방식에 대한 설계 및 제작방법을 제시하고 과부하시험을 시행하여 순간최대부하에 대응할 수 있도록 과부하내량 160[%] 까지 증가시킬 수 있음을 확인하였다. 또한 본 논문에서는 100[kVA] 1대를 시제품으로 제작하여 단락강도시험과 변압기 관련 절연시험을 시행하여 전자기계력의 분석과 단락강도설계 향상 방안에 대하여 설명하고 이와 관련하여 연구한 결과에 대해 논하였다.

  • This Paper analysis variable characteristics of inductance profiles and basic magnetic fields for Switched Reluctance Motors(SRM). The varying Inductance and flux linkage on operating control condition are very important for developing control algorithm and SRM accurate drive system. Therefore, we have analytical model for varying inductance and flux linkage with simulation and experimental method, and to find an analytical expression for the SRM coenergy. There are shown some good results that comparison of simulated and analytical inductance, flux linkage and current waves.

  • A moving-coil-type linear oscillatory actuator is consisted of the NdFeB permanent magnets with high specific energy as the stator, a coil-wrapped nonmagnetic hollow rectangular structure and an iron core as a pathway for magnetic flux. The inductance of moving coil and the push/pull effect is obtained from the permeance model of LOA with the open magnetic circuit. The analytical method are verified using the 2D finite element method.

Development of a Miniature Air-bearing Stage with a Moving-magnet Linear Motor

  • We propose a new miniature air-bearing stage with a moving-magnet slotless linear motor. This stage was developed to achieve the precise positioning required for submicron-level machining and miniaturization by introducing air bearings and a linear motor sufficient for mesoscale precision machine tools. The linear motor contained two permanent magnets and was designed to generate a preload force for the vertical air bearings and a thrust force for the stage movement. The characteristics of the air bearings, which used porous pads, were analyzed with numerical methods, and a magnetic circuit model was derived for the linear motor to calculate the required preload and thrust forces. A prototype of a single-axis miniature stage with dimensions of $120\;(W)\;{\times}\;120\;(L)\;{\times}\;50\;(H)\;mm$ was designed and fabricated, and its performance was examined, including its vertical stiffness, load capacity, thrust force, and positioning resolution.

Analysis of Electromotive Force Characteristics for Electromagnetic Energy Harvester using Ferrofluid

  • This paper investigates the concept and implementation of an energy harvesting device using a ferrofluid sloshing movement to generate an electromotive force (EMF). Ferrofluids are often applied to energy harvesting devices because they have both magnetic properties and fluidity, and they behave similarly to a soft ferromagnetic substance. In addition, a ferrofluid can change its shape freely and generate an EMF from small vibrations. The existing energy harvesting techniques, for example those using piezoelectric and thermoelectric devices, generate minimal electric power, as low as a few micro-watts. Through flow analysis of ferrofluids and examination of the magnetic circuit characteristics of the resultant electromagnetic system, an energy harvester model based on an electromagnetic field generated by a ferrofluid is developed and proposed. The feasibility of the proposed scheme is demonstrated and its EMF characteristics are discussed based on experimental data.

  • Inductance is an important parameter determining the characteristics of current waveform in electric motors. There are many kinds of inductances, however, self and mutual inductances are the major components. These inductances are changed under the variation of the magnetic circuit, current, frequency etc., even in the same winding distribution. Therefore this paper deals with the characteristics of inductance according to the shape of stator tooth. The analysis model is newly developed motor made of SMC(Soft Magnetic Composite) to reduce the core loss in high speed. the result of this paper gives the basic understandings of inductance to extend the applications of the motors.

  • Recently, there are growing demands for permanent magnet(PM) type stepping motor that greater mechanical output, smaller size. Especially, the PM type stepping motor with claw-poles is preferred solution for many small electronics position determination devices since it is small in size, low cost. But, the design of the PM type stepping motor with claw-poles is very difficult because it has a magnetic 3-D shape. This paper deals with a study of the miniaturization of the PM type stepping motor with claw-poles. We investigate the characteristic of the actual model using the equivalent magnetic circuit method and 3-D FE analysis.

  • This study is for a design of a spindle motor for 1.8 inch hard disk drives(HDDs). Equivalent magnetic circuit model is applied for a basic design of the motor, a specific configuration design and magnetic distribution characteristics are confirmed using finite element analysis. Besides, thrust forces generated between rotor and stator core and thrust pad are calculated for pressure analysis of fluid dynamic bearings.
