A characteristic analysis of the 1kW Reluctance Synchronous Motor (1kW급 리럭턴스 동기 전동기의 특성해석)

  • This paper presents detailed characteristic of a Reluctance Synchronous Motor(RSM) which has a transverse-laminated rotor. First of all, the analysis of a magnetic circuit field between stator and rotor should be achieved in order to predict the performance characteristic of the RSM. For the analysis of a magnetic circuit field, the Finite Element(FE) analysis and a experimental method are used. The analytical result of the inductance flux distribution, vector potential, and the output shows some good characteristic along with the load condition.

  • Macro-model of magnetic tunnel junction (MTJ) for spin transfer torque magnetic random access memory (STT-MRAM) has been developed. The macro-model can describe the dynamic behavior such as the state change of MTJ as a function of the pulse width of driving current and voltage. The statistical behavior has been included in the model to represent the variation of the MTJ characteristic due to process variation. The macro-model has been developed in Verilog-A.

  • AMR (Active Magnetic Regenerative) refrigerators require the large variation of the magnetic field and a HTS magnet can be used. The amount of AC loss is very important considering the overall efficiency of the AMR refrigerator. However, it is very hard to estimate the precise loss of the HTS magnet because the magnetic field distribution around the conductor itself depends on the coil configuration and the neighboring HTS wires interact each other through the distorted magnetic field by the screening current Therefore, the AC loss of HTS magnet should be calculated using the whole configuration of the HTS magnet with superconducting characteristic. This paper describes the AC loss of the HTS magnet by an appropriate FEM approach, which uses the non-linear characteristic of HTS conductor. The analysis model is based on the 2-D FEM model, called as 'magnetic field formulation and edge-element model', for whole coil configuration in cylindrical coordinates. The effects of transport current and stacked conductors on the AC loss are investigated considering the field-dependent critical current. The PDE model of 'Comsol multiphysics' is used for the FEM analysis with properly implemented equations for axisymmetric model.

  • In this paper, we proposed a method to measure the gap between the magnetic pole and the levitated object applying the inductance characteristic which vary according to gap. We made a driving circuit which supply the control input PWM(Pulse Width Modulation) signal and the carrier PWM signal to estimate the gap. Because the inductance is a function of gap, and the current of the carrier signal is a function of the inductance. We investigated the validity of the proposed method through the experimental results.

  • An Insb magnetic fluxmeter was made of InSb Single Crystal that was grown by Bridgemannmethods and then purified by vapor cone refining method. We investigated some properties of the InSb magneto fluxmeter. It was found that the resistivity and the Hall Coefficient of this single Crystal Were 4.4${\times}10^{-2}{\Omega}$ and $4.5\textrm{cm}^3$/Coul, respectively, at room temperature. The Characteristic Curve of the InSb magnetic fluxmeter between the magnetic field the Hall voltage, with the Current flowing through the element a Parameter, had good lineanty i.e., We obtained a linear Calibration Curve of the flwmeter. The fluxmeter erved the purpose well enough up to 5 k-gaus.
