천연색소를 이용한 건축내장용 색한지 제조 (제3보) - Super Eight Color 벽지의 기능성 연구 - (Manufacture of Colored Hanji for Interior Materials from Natural Pigments (Part 3) - Functional Properties of Super Eight Colors Hanji Wallpaper -)

  • In this study, we used various dyes from natural pigments such as tumeric, goldthread, indigo, pagoda tree flower, sappanwood, and safflower to make the Hanji wallpaper with super eight colors of yellow, orange, green, turquoise, violet, red, blue, and magenta. As a result of measuring the lightfastness, magenta dyed with sappanwood showed the worst effect, but blue dyed with only indigo showed the best effect. In terms of the spot test by water, red wallpaper dyed with safflower showed the clear spot, but blue, turquoise, and green dyed with indigo resulted in a little spot. The orange, violet, and magenta dyed with goldthread and sappanwood showed antibacterial activity, and the turquoise, green, and blue also has a little antibacterial activity. However, yellow and red didn't show the some result as expected. In the experiment for efficiency of formaldehyde removal, all Hanji wallpapers dyed with natural pigments showed the significant removal effect of formaldehyde, especially turquoise and red were the highest.

The Design Harmony in the Necktie with Dot Pattern

  • This study aims at clarifying the influence that color, tone, dot size, the combination of area ratios exercise on the harmony in dot necktie, and revealing the harmony differentiation according to the cues of various factors for pattern design. The conclusion is drawn as below, in the result that the cues which can exercise influence on the harmony of dot necktie, was analyzed by 54 stimuli. In the result of analysis of variance in order to clarify the influence which color, tone, dot size, and color area ratio exercise on dot necktie harmony, color and dot size operate appeared to be independent cues which exercise significant influence with main effect. In the result of the harmony difference analysis on color, tone, dot size, and color area ratio combination by multiple comparison, the cyan color in vivid tone was estimated to be most inharmonious in the analysis by color and tone. Viewing the harmony difference according to color and dot size, the dot size of 0.5cm in cyan was perceived to be most harmonious. Viewing the harmony difference according to color and color area ratio combination, both magenta and cyan were estimated to be positive, regardless of area ratio combination, and particularly, the case that the background was in cyan and the dots were in grey was perceived more harmonious compared to the contrary case. Viewing the harmony difference according to tone and dot sizes, the case when the dot sizes were 0.5cm, was perceived to be most positive, regardless of tone. Viewing the harmony difference according to color area ratio combination and tone, the case that the chromatic colors, cyan, magenta, and yellow was used as background, was estimated to be more harmonious, compared to the case that the achromatic color, grey was used as background. Viewing the harmony difference according to dot size and color area ratio combination, in case that the dots were in chromatic color and the background was in grey, the harmony showed difference by dot size, and the case of the dot size of 0.5cm was estimated to be most harmonious.

  • 본 논문에서는 출력 장치의 색역에 대하여 균일한 분포를 갖는 색표본(color sample) 생성 방법을 제안하고, 이를 이용한 색재현 방법을 소개한다. 즉 기존의 방법인 RGB(red, green, and blue) 혹은 CMY(cyan, magenta, yellow) 등 장치 의존형 색공간에서 균일한 색표본을 선택하는 것이 아니라 장치 독립형 균등 색공간인 CIELAB공간에서 균등 색표본을 선택하는 방법을 제안한다 또한 제안된 색표본의 성능을 평가하기 위하여 회귀 모델과 신경망을 이용한 색공간 변환을 수행하였다 동일한 크기의 색표본의 경우, 제안된 색표본을 이용한 색공간 변환 방법이 신경망, 회귀 모델 모두에서 색차를 줄일 수 있었다.

  • Ink trap is one of the important factors to determine the color in multi-color overprints. This study was carried out for the purpose for analyzing the relationships between ink traps and color differences in two-color solid overprints. The specimens were printed under four different conditions that the overprinting ink sequence of M(Magenta) or C(Cyan) and the overprinting method of W(Wet-on-Wet) or D(Wet-on-Dry) were changed altermately, that is M+C-W or C+M-W and M+C-D or C+M-D.

  • This parer proposes the six color separation using th color difference and granularity. Conventional method using the color difference increases the graininess in the bright region due to the usage of the cyan or magenta. To reduce the graininess in the bright region, we proposed the six color separation minimizing the graininess within the tolerance of the co]or difference. Initially, granularity is calculated based on the standard deviation of the lightness value and chrominance of the SCIELAB space and is applied to the six color separation using the color difference. Proposed six color separation using the color difference and granularity reduces the graininess in the bright region and obtains the smooth tone.

  • 본 논문에서는 단순화한 색상 정보에 기반한 컨벌류션 정합(Convolution Matching)을 이용하여 차량을 검출하는 기법을 제안한다. 입력 영상을 화소 색상 벡터의 방향을 고려해 8방향 색상(Red, Green, Blue Cyan, Yellow, Magenta, White, Black)으로 표현한다. 8 방향 색상의 표현은 조명이나 환경 변화에 강인한 영상을 제공한다. 본 논문의 차량 검출 단계는 크게 후보 영역 검출 단계와 차량 검증 단계로 구성된다. 후보 영역 검출 단계에서는 수직 에지와 그림자 등을 고려하여 차량의 후보 영역을 결정한다. 차량 검증 단계에서는 차량을 판별하기 위해 컨벌류션 정합과 후보 영역내의 에지 복잡도를 사용한다. 제안하는 차량 검출 알고리즘은 조명이나 환경이 변화하는 다양한 실험들에서 빠르고 높은 검출률을 보였다.

  • The color electronic paper display panel, which is fabricated with about $300\;{\mu}m$ width of each color pixel strip and is possible to integrated into a fundamental full-color flexible display prototype, is presented. The monolayer of close-packed color electrophoretic microcapsules is formed on the ITO electrode. The color pixel strips are composed of each color electrophoretic microcapsules (i.e., cyan, magenta, yellow, and black).

  • A color halftoning is the process of generating halftone images for the different color plans, for example, cyan, magenta, yellow, and black for a offset printing device. A conventional halftone technique, so called AM screening, is simple and easy to implement, but the halftoned dot patterns by using this method is not free for the moire` fringe. Moire` patterns are caused the power spectrum distribution on low spatial frequency domain. To avoid Moire` patterns, the conventional screen require the different screen angles for each color plans. Recently, Ultra-fine and 7 color printing methods are developed to expend the color gamut. In 7 color printing method must be used the halftone technique of random and blue noise characteristic to avoid Moire` fringe.

  • Offset lithography is the most widely used printing process in domestic printing industry, but there are no industry-wide specifications for press control to assure consistent quality across printing plants. As printing becomes more of a commodity and less of an art, it is necessary to develop a print quality specification standard suitable for Korea offset printing field. This study aims to contribute to improving the quality of domestic offset color prints by comparative study on color reproduction properties of 2 kinds of domestic process color ink composed of C(cyan), M(magenta), Y(yellow) and K(black) and of 3 kinds of domestic coated paper, using colorimetric color measurement method.
