ZVT 방식을 적용한 SRM 구동용 컨버터 (A ZVT applied SRM converter)

  • A ZVT (zero voltage transition) converter for SRM (switched reluctance motor) drives is proposed in this study. By adding a ZVT-chopping switch in the front-end, all switches in the machine side converter can be operated without any chopping to regulate phase current. This allows the use of low-cost and slow-switching devices for the machine side converter. The ZVT circuitry allows high frequency operation of th echopping switch, which enhnaces the system dynamcis and phase-current ripples. High efficiency of th eintegrated converter is obtained due to low switching losses.

  • This paper presents an eddy current loss analysis of a Mechanical Fixation (MF) made of 6061 aluminum alloy, which is used for an NS type double-rotor single-stator axial flux permanent magnet machine. The prototype MF made of aluminum alloy shows good mechanical performance, but poor electro-magnetic performance, since the machine's efficiency can decrease because of eddy current loss in the MF. In order to prevent efficiency decrease, a modification of the MF structure is also introduced. Three-dimensional finite element analysis (FEA) is used for magnetic field analysis, and eddy current losses are computed. The analysis results are compared to, and verified by the test results.

  • In home appliances, electric energy is optimally controlled by using power electronics technology, creating a comfortable environment in terms of energy saving, low sound generation, and reduced time consumption. Usually simplicity and robustness make the three phase induction motor attractive for use in domestic appliance, including washing machines. Two main types of domestic washing machine have evolved. We focus on the front loading machine favored in Europe, which has a horizontal drum axis. The efficiency improvement in home appliances is very important for customers. Induction motor efficiency can be improved by means of loss reduction, which can be realized by motor selection and design, improvement of the waveforms supplied by power Inverter, utilizing a suitable control method. So this paper describes the architecture and feature of washing machine fed induction motor drive under minimizing losses vector control.

Default Prediction of Automobile Credit Based on Support Vector Machine

  • Automobile credit business has developed rapidly in recent years, and corresponding default phenomena occur frequently. Credit default will bring great losses to automobile financial institutions. Therefore, the successful prediction of automobile credit default is of great significance. Firstly, the missing values are deleted, then the random forest is used for feature selection, and then the sample data are randomly grouped. Finally, six prediction models of support vector machine (SVM), random forest and k-nearest neighbor (KNN), logistic, decision tree, and artificial neural network (ANN) are constructed. The results show that these six machine learning models can be used to predict the default of automobile credit. Among these six models, the accuracy of decision tree is 0.79, which is the highest, but the comprehensive performance of SVM is the best. And random grouping can improve the efficiency of model operation to a certain extent, especially SVM.

  • A simple scheme using the single equivalent machine representation, equivalent loss reprsentation and direct hydro-MW representation are applied to economic dispatch for practical applications. A,simple approach to calculation of incremental transmission losses is proposed from the fast decoupled load flow algorithm. This program is presently being tested on KECO system.

  • High speed brushless permanent magnet(PM) machines need a key technology to minimize the iron core losses in stator and the eddy current losses in the retained sleeve and magnets caused by slotting harmonics. Thus, slotless or iron-coreless brushless PM machines have been applied for a very high rotational speed and/or the ripple-free torque. Unfortunately, slotless or coreless PM machines have lower open-circuit field than slotted and/or iron-cored types, which cause to reduce power density. Fortunately, Halbach array can generate the strong magnetic field systems without additional magnetic materials. In this paper, the 4-pole Halbach array is applied to the high speed machine and is compared with the radial magnetized PM array in field system. The iron-/air-cored stator of PM machine is constructed with/without winding slots. Open circuit magnetic fields of each type are presented from the analytical method and finite element method. Consequently, it is confirmed that the Halbach array field system with slotless stator is more suitable to the high speed motor because it has high flux density, sinusoidal flux distribution than others.

초대형화재사고 예측을 위한 화재사고 분류의 개선 및 발생의 주기성 분석 (Improved Classification of Fire Accidents and Analysis of Periodicity for Prediction of Critical Fire Accidents)

  • 일반적으로 화재는 다양한 원인으로 발생하며 무작위로 보이기에 화재의 발생을 예측한다는 것은 매우 도전적인 문제이다. 하지만 모든 화재가 아닌 큰 피해를 주는 초대형 화재사고의 예측이 가능하다면, 선제적 대응을 통한 손실 최소화를 기대할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 국가 전체를 대상으로 초대형 화재사고를 예측하기 위해 기계학습 기법인 k-평균 클러스터링을 이용하여 화재사고를 분류하고, 이를 인위적인 설정이 강한 비전문가 기준, 전문가 기준 분류 결과와 비교하여 예측에 적절한 분류 기준을 제안하였다. 비교 결과 기계학습을 이용한 분류가 일정한 피해규모와 비율로 분류되어, 예측에 적절한 분류 기준이라 판단하였다. 또한 초대형 화재사고의 주기성을 분석한 결과 일정한 패턴을 보였지만 높은 편차를 보였다. 따라서 단순 예측기법이 아닌 고급 예측기법을 사용하였을 때 초대형 화재사고의 발생 예측이 가능하다고 판단되었다.

Design, Development and Analysis of Embedded Systems for Condition Monitoring of Rotating Machines using FFT Algorithm

  • Rotating machines are an integral part of large electrical power machinery in most of the industries. Any degradation or outages in the rotating electric machinery can result in significant losses in productivity. It is critical to monitor the equipment for any degradation's so that it can serve as an early warning for adequate maintenance activities and repair. Prior research and field studies have indicated that the rotating machines have a particular type of signal structure during the initial start-up transient. A machine performance can be studied based on the effect of degradation in signal parameters. In this paper a data-acquisition system and the FFT algorithm has been design and model using the MATLAB and Simulink. The implementation had been carried out on the TMS320 DSP Processor and various testing and verification of the machine performance had been carried out. The results show good agreement with expected results for both simulated and real-time data. The real-time data from AC water pumps which have rotating motors built-in were collected and analysed. The FFT algorithm provides frequency response and based on this frequency response performance of the machine had been measured.The FFT algorithm provides only approximation about the machine performances.

  • Recently, intellectual property problem caused by illegal copy or circulation of digital contents with computer and advance of network. it will lose producer's desire and cause economic losses. so we need to demand ownership protection technology for prevent illegal copy without an owner consent and protect ownership with effect. in this paper, we change digital image at frequency domain and choose a factor choosing frequency area with human perceptibility. we inserted repetitive and adaptive watermark on the whole image by Labview Machine Vision. watermark inserted into the high frequency concentrated textual area with Wavelet Transform and then reduced damage of image by human visual feature after inserted watermark
