This test is for checking investigation about quality control of general X-ray system in clinic and hospital. We compared general X-ray system of clinic and hospital which are selected freely in the metropolitan area using PMX-III and carried out quality control. Carried out Kilovoltage test, mR/mAs output test, Light filed/Beam alignment test, Half value layer test. Most of test result are appeared that failure rates of clinic is higher than hospital one. Therefore, we should lower failure rates through regular quality control and make environment which can get high quality image.
Thanks to the great development of technology in radiation, we are now able to reduce radiation exposure to the patients, and the radiographer and expenses in medical sector. We are also trying to produce ideal images which maintain useful information. These kinds of effort are increasing over the world. For that reason, we should get images which include necessary data of patients. Then it also can help to reduce radiation exposure to the patients. Therefore, we need to know the problems that cause a falling off in image's quality and check on generator in case of their electronic and mechanical errors. And moreover, we should anticipate the possibility of devices errors and prevent them with regular quality control. This investigation was conducted in medical institutions, institute of educations and hospitals. They are all in Seongnam-City. We used PMX-III, kVp meter to implement kVp test, mR / mAs output test, light fiel / beam alignment test, Reproducibility of exposure dose, half value layer test, reproducibility of exposure time test. in the case of hospitals, they perceive the importance of regular quality control and organize the regular quality control team so they can be satisfied with the error standard in most experiments. On the other hand, when it comes to medical institutions and institute of educations, they perceive the importance of regular quality control less than hospitals do. Radiographer need to understand the importance of regular quality control and practice it so they can get the fine ideal image with the lower dose to the patient.
To evaluate the usability of compartment fire models for predicting sprinkler response time, fire experiment was conducted and measured sprinkler response time. The experimental data was compared with zone model "FASTLite"and field model "FDS"and field Model "SMARTFIRE" A Compartment fire conducted in a 2.4 m by 3.6 m by 2.4 m ISO 9705 room and measured H.R.R was approximately 100.3 kW. In test, Sprinkler activation temperature used is $72^{\circ}c$ and responded at 198s. The output of FASTLite, SMARTFIRE and, FDS for this fire scenario were 209s, 183s, and 192s, respectively. As a results, prediction using FDS model approached to that of test very closely and other models showed good approximated results also.
In this study, a neural network (NN) modeling approach has been used to predict the mechanical and geometrical behaviors of mouse embryo cells. Two NN models have been implemented. In the first NN model dimple depth (w), dimple radius (a) and radius of the semi-circular curved surface of the cell (R) were used as inputs of the model while indentation force (f) was considered as output. In the second NN model, indentation force (f), dimple radius (a) and radius of the semi-circular curved surface of the cell (R) were considered as inputs of the model and dimple depth was predicted as the output of the model. In addition, sensitivity analysis has been carried out to investigate the influence of the significance of input parameters on the mechanical behavior of mouse embryos. Experimental data deduced by Fl$\ddot{u}$ckiger (2004) were collected to obtain training and test data for the NN. The results of these investigations show that the correlation values of the test and training data sets are between 0.9988 and 1.0000, and are in good agreement with the experimental observations.

The TIDE, finite element model for the simulation of tidal flow in shallow sea was tested for its applicability at the Saemangeum area. Several pre and post processors were developed to facilitate handling of the complicated and large amount of input and output data for the model developed. Also an operation scheme to run the model and the processors were established. As a result of calibration test using the observed data collected at 9 points within the region, linearlized friction coefficients were adjusted to be ranged 0.0027~0.0072, and water depths below the mean sea level at every nodes were changed to be increased generally by 1 meter. Comparisons of tidal velocities between the observed and the simulated for the 5 stations were made and obtained the result that the average relative error between simulated and observed tidal velocities was 11% for the maximum velocities and 22% for the minimum, and the absolute errors were less than 0.2m/sec. Also it was found that the average R.M.S. error between the velocities of observed and simulated was 0.119 m/sec and the average correlation coefficient was 0.70 showing close agreement. Another comparison test was done to show the result that R.M.S. error between the simulated and the observed tidal elevations at the 4 stations was 0.476m in average and the correlation coefficients were ranged 0.96~0.99. Though the simulated tidal circulation pattern in the region was well agreed with the observed, the simulated tidal velocities and elevations for specific points showed some errors with the observed. It was thought that the errors mainly due to the characteristics of TIDE Model which was developed to solve only with the linearized scheme. Finally it was concluded that, to improve the simulation results by the model, a new attempt to develop a fully nonlinear model as well as further calibration and the more reasonable generation of finite element grid would be needed.
Recently, with the development of computer technology, field instrument and control system using in industrial fields have changed from mechanical, electrical systems to digital electronic systems. Distributed control system(DCS), control functions are dispersed for grading up reliability and informations are combined fur effective management has been developed and sold. As this system has been enlarged and complicated, it is difficult to testing the system and very important to verifing functions systematically. In this report, function test procedure which is performed spontaneously by domestic or foreign DCS manufacturer was searched and analyzed. As its results, the test procedure of DCS functions were proposed. The proposed procedure was applied to DCS being used for a thermal power plant. The function test for DCS requires continuous and dynamic input/output signals, therefore we proposed the method to compose virtual plant which simulate the DCS functions with. And we suggested the test procedure of each DCS function.
Brittleness index (BI) is an important property of rocks because it is a good index to predict rockburst. Due to its importance, several empirical and soft computing (SC) models have been proposed in the literature based on the punch penetration test (PPT) results. These models are very important as there is no clear-cut experimental means for measuring BI asides the PPT which is very costly and time consuming to perform. This study used a novel Multivariate Adaptive regression spline (MARS), M5P, and white-box ANN to predict the BI of rocks using the available data in the literature for an improved BI prediction. The rock density, uniaxial compressive strength (σc) and tensile strength (σt) were used as the input parameters into the models while the BI was the targeted output. The models were implemented in the MATLAB software. The results of the proposed models were compared with those from existing multilinear regression, linear and nonlinear particle swarm optimization (PSO) and genetic algorithm (GA) based models using similar datasets. The coefficient of determination (R2), adjusted R2 (Adj R2), root-mean squared error (RMSE) and mean absolute percentage error (MAPE) were the indices used for the comparison. The outcomes of the comparison revealed that the proposed ANN and MARS models performed better than the other models with R2 and Adj R2 values above 0.9 and least error values while the M5P gave similar performance to those of the existing models. Weight partitioning method was also used to examine the percentage contribution of model predictors to the predicted BI and tensile strength was found to have the highest influence on the predicted BI.
A Precision Spectral Pyranometer (PSP) is mainly used as a reference to calibrate other pyranometers due to its high accuracy and sensitivity in response to the spectrum wavelength range of 0.285 ${\mu}$ to 2.8 ${\mu}$, while the sensitivity of photovoltaic-type Li-Cor pyranometer is limited within a certain spectral range from 0.4 ${\mu}$ to 1.1 ${\mu}$. In this study, two Eppley PSPs($PSP_1$ and $PSP_2$) were first compared to the calibrated Eppley PSPs from National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), resulting in two linear correction factors based on the comparison between the logger output (V) from the test PSP and the solar radiation (W/m2) from the NREL PSP. The Li-Cor pyranometer used in this study was then corrected based on the comparison of measured solar radiation ($W/m^2$) from the corrected $PSP_1$ and the Li-Cor pyranometer. In addition, instrument scale corrections were also performed for the PSPs and the Li-Cor from the transmitter to the data logger. From the comparisons, a linear correction factor (1.0214) with R=0.9998 was developed for the scale correction between$PSP_1$ and $PSP_2$, while the Li-Cor pyranometer has a scale(1.0597) and offset (32.046) with R=0.9998 against$PSP_1$. As a result, it was identified that there were good agreements within ${\pm}$ 10 W/ $m^2$ between Eppley $PSP_1$ vs. $PSP_2$ solar radiation and within ${\pm}$ 20 W/$m^2$ between$PSP_1$ vs Li-Cor solar radiation after the empirical scale corrections developed in this study.

Blood pressure is possible to diagnose a disease associated with blood pressure and judgment the current health of patients. Automatic blood pressure monitor capable of measuring a blood pressure easily in hospital and at home have become spread. In this study, we developed the blood pressure simulator (BPS) that can test the arm-type automatic blood pressure monitor that is commonly used in hospital. BPS is to produce a pressure similar to the pressure wave generated in the human blood using a servo disk motor. Then, using the silicon tube, it implements the situations such as human blood vessels, and to output the generated pressure waveform. Simply the BPS's phantom put on the cuff and it is able to simulate blood pressure. So anyone can quickly test the blood pressure monitor within one minute and it is possible to shorten the test time required for the automatic blood pressure monitor. In Performance test, the trends and the standard deviation of the values measured in the BPS is similar to the value of the measured pressure from people with normal blood pressure. Thus, the development BPS showed a possibility of taking into account the actual blood pressure measurement environment simulator.
Direct borohydrides fuel cell (DBFC) was emerged to complement the problem of DMFC's low performance and methanol crossover to the cathode and to apply the fuel cell to portable and mobile devices. In this study, the characteristics of novel catalysts was tested to establish the electrode preparation process of DBFC. Pt black and carbon supported-Pt by paste method were used as the cathode catalysts. Pt black, carbon supported-Au and $AB_5$ alloy were used as the anode catalysts. The characteristics of the electrodes were analyzed by XRD, SEM, EDS. The performance test of single cell using the electrodes were carried out in order to evaluate the electrode performance. In the result, the maximum power output was obtained as 366 mW/mg when using Pt/C as anode and cathode catalysts.
