Assessing the Effects of Knowledge Resource Complementarity on Organizational Performance in Merge and Acquisition (M&A): Focused on Electronic Commerce Industries (인수합병에 있어 지식자원 간 상호보완성이 인수합병성과에 미치는 영향 분석: 전자상거래 산업을 중심으로)

  • Although merger and acquisition (M&A) has been considered as an important means to improve firm performance, most prior empirical research have failed to prove the relationship between M&A and firm performance. In order to fill this gap, this study attempts to identify the effect of M&A on firm performance based on knowledge resources relatedness and complementarity theory. For this purpose, this study examines complementarity patterns of knowledge resources and their impacts on acquirer's performance using M&A announcements of electronic commerce industry from 2001 to 2007. The results of this study indicate complementarity among knowledge resources are positively related with acquirer's market value. This study contributes to expand knowledge management research by identifying the relationship among knowledge resources and their impacts on firm performance.

  • 최근 TV에 인터넷이 접목되면서 방송과 통신이 융합된 새로운 환경이 생성되었다. 다양한 볼거리를 제공해 주는가 하면 TV를 이용해 전자상거래까지 가능하게 되었다. 인터넷TV는 컴퓨터 사용에 미숙한 사람들도 TV를 이용하여 쉽게 사용할 수 있기 때문에 넓은 층의 사람들이 이용하고 있다. 이 중, TV를 통하여 이루어지는 전자상거래를 T-Commerce라 하는데, 유럽에서는 이미 상용화되어 있다. 본 연구에서는 전 세계적으로 주목받고 성장하고 있는 T-Commerce 서비스의 현황은 어떠한지, 또 어떠한 인증, 보안 기술을 사용하고 있는지에 대해 알아보고, 앞으로 보안이 어떠한 방향으로 나아가야 하는지에 대해 알아보았다.

Leaching of Trifluralin in the Commerce Clay Loam Soil (토양 중 Trifluralin의 용탈)

  • Trifluralin was selected to study the leaching potentials related to the pollution on Commerce silty clay loam soil near Baton Rouge, Louisiana, USA. The batch equilibrium of trifluralin resulted in the Koc value of 875. When the soil columns(5.4 cm i.d. ${\times}$ 26 cm length) were leached with three pore volumes of water, the distributions of trifluralin in soil and leachate were 99.993% and 0.007% of the total recoveries, respectively. When applied at the rate of 1,683 g/ha in the field, the amount of trifluralin within the $0{\sim}10$ cm soil depth was 96.9% of that within the $0{\sim}60cm$ soil depth 31 days after application. The concentrations of trifluralin detected in 1- and 2m- depth wells during 62 days after application ranged from 0.04 ng/mL to 0.08 ng/mL, which were lower than 2.0 ng/mL of the U.S. EPA advisory levels for drinking water. Trifluralin was strongly adsorbed on soil and hardly reached ground water. The leaching properties of trifluralin in the fields were predicted and concurred with those in the columns.

  • 케이블 방송사업자들은 디지털화를 추진하면서, 한편으로는 케이블 망을 이용하여 초고속인터넷, 인터넷전화 등의 통신사업에도 진출하였다. 한편, 통신사업자들은 IPTV 서비스를 제공함으로써 방송분야에 진출하면서 양 사업자들의 경쟁이 도입되었다. 향후 디지털케이블방송이 IPTV와 경쟁하기 위해서는 Cable-IPTV로의 진화와 양방향 콘텐츠 서비스의 도입이 필요하고, 이를 실현할 대표적인 서비스로 T-commerce가 주목받고 있다. 또한 T-commerce 서비스 도입을 위해서는 가입자의 정보를 안전하고 효율적으로 관리할 수 있는 IdM(Identity Management) 기술이 필요하고, 본 논문에서는 디지털케이블방송에서 IdM 기술을 적용하는 방안에 대해 기술한다.

  • 현재의 IPTV 시비스는 VoD+PPV와 같이 단순한 형태로 서비스를 제공하고 있다. IPTV 서비스 사업자들은 IPTV의 새로운 수익모델인 양방항성 통신특성에 최적화된 서비스를 제공해야 한다. 양방향 통신의 대표적인 서비스로는 T-commerce가 있다. T-commerce 서비스 제공시 IPTV 가입자의 정보가 제3의 서비스 사업자로 전송되기 때문에 개방된 IP망에서 가입자의 정보가 전송되므로 개인정보보호의 중요성이 커지게 될 것이다. 양방향 서비스를 제공하면서 개인정보보호를 유지하는 방안으로 ID를 통합적으로 관리하는 기술인 IdM(Identity Management)을 IPTV에 적용하는 방안이 고려되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 NGN(Next Generation Network)기반 IPTV의 IdM 적용방안에 대해 기술한다.

Digital Watermarking for Robustness of Low Bit Rate Video Contents on the Mobile (모바일 상에서 비트율이 낮은 비디오 콘텐츠의 강인성을 위한 디지털 워터마킹)

  • Video contents in the mobile environment are processed with the low bit-rate relative to normal video contents due to the consideration of network traffic; hence, it is necessary to protect the copyright of the low bit-rate video contents. The algorithm for watermarking appropriate for the mobile environment should be developed because the performance of the mobile devices is much lower than that of personal computers. This paper suggested the invisible spread spectrum watermarking method to the low bit-rate video contents, considering the low performance of the mobile device in the M-Commerce environment; it also enables to track down illegal users of the video contents to protect the copyright. The robustness of the contents with watermark is expressed with the correlation of extraction algorithm from watermark removed or distorted contents. The results of our experiment showed that we could extract the innate frequencies of M-Sequence when we extracted M-Sequence after compressing the contents with watermark easily. Therefore, illegal users of the contents can be tracked down because watermark can be extracted from the low bit-rate video contents.

Mobile Commerce Brand Identity Strategy by SNS Text mining

  • In this paper, I propose an efficient brand identity strategy by topic modeling the Instagram posts, one of SNS(Social Network Service) having more than 1billion world-wide and 500 million daily users. Since the 92% age groups of the Instagram is 18~50 years old (59% 18~29y and 33% 30~49), I set research analysis target three mobile commerce sites to dress and cosmetics sales sites that sale apparels cosmetics and gadgets that recently opened and have operated marketing on diverse channel including SNS. By topic modeling SNS posts for 6 months after launching the site that tagged each m-commerce site brand name or company name, I validate companies' brand identity strategy works effectively and suggest moderation of strategy for brand image. As a result, I found one of three mobile commerce site has different brand image by users and need different identity set up.

  • As developed wireless internet and performance of wireless terminal, E-commerce of wire internet move to wireless internet. This I-commerce in wireless internet environment called M-Commerce, recognized user authentication and data security as very important technology such as E-commerce in environment of wire internet. So authentication technology such as WPKI and Hermes system and XML digital signature was studied. But WPKI is difficulty to implement system, if authentication system that consisted in WPKI environment was heterogeneous. And Hermes system is not interoperate to XML digital signature system. So, our paper suggested XML digital signature system based java card to interoperate among the digital signature system, to apply XML digital signature used in wire internet. Our system offer XML digital signature in wireless internet, can interoperate among the XML digital signature systems.
