  • The purpose of this study was to modify a Flared Skirt for women according to the somatotype of lower body. The subjects for the wear test were 3 students, who were in mean${\pm}1{\sigma}$ each somatotype. As seen in the study, it was found out that there was a difference in three dimensional shape of the lower part of the body even in the group of whom the body heights, measured by Martin's system, are alike. Due to such a difference in the three dimensional shape of the lower part of the body, it was found out to be a difference in drapability of the flare skirts. In order to have better fitness of the lower part of the body and to raise the visual effect, therefore, it is suggested that there need to develop a new model of the flare skirts considering three dimensional shape of the lower part of the body for the wearer or to take complementary measures for each body shape in case of applying traditional model.

  • To achieve the unidirectional airflow in a cleanroom, we need to predict accurately the static pressure losses at the lower plenum and to control properly the opening pressure ratio of access floor panels based on these pressure losses. At first, the present study proposed a correlation to predict the velocity distribution at the lower plenum, because the accuracy to predict pressure losses at the lower plenum depends on how to calculate the velocity correctly against the inner structures at the lower plenum. In the second place, this study proposed correlations which considered the effect of inner structures such as columns, ducts and equipments at the lower plenum on pressure losses. In order to test the accuracy of these correlations, we compared air flow patterns before regulating the opening ratio of access floor with those after regulating. Results after regulating the opening ratio of access floor show good unidirectional uniform airflow pattern. So the present method can be used as an important tool to control the air flow in a cleanroom.

  • In this paper, we develop the method of quasilinearization comvined with the methos of upper and lower solutions for singular second order boundary value problems in weighted spaces. The sequences constructed converge uniformly and monotonically to the unique of the second singular order boundary value problem. Further we prove the rate of convergence is quadratic.

  • This paper proposes the model order reduction with pass band error reduction in the frequency domain of discrete time linear systems. The algorithm is the new method of reduced order model which reduces passband error by changing controllability and observability gramian used with weighted functions. A numerical example shows that this algorithm has lower passband error than balanced w&l and weighted function characteristics in frequency domain.

  • This paper introduces an extended version of ${\kappa}$-records. Kullback-Leibler (K-L) information between two generalized distributions arising from ${\kappa}$-records is derived; subsequently, it is shown that K-L information does not depend on the baseline distribution. The behavior of K-L information for order statistics and ${\kappa}$-records, is studied. The exact expressions for K-L information between distributions of order statistics and upper (lower) ${\kappa}$-records are obtained and some special cases are provided.

  • In this paper, we derive sharp upper and lower expectation bounds on the extreme order statistics from possibly dependent random variables whose marginal distributions are only known. The marginal distributions of the considered random variables may not be the same and the expectation bounds are completely determined by the marginal distributions only.

  • In this paper we wish to prove some results relating to the growth rates of composite entire and meromorphic functions with their corresponding left and right factors on the basis of their generalized order (, ) and generalized lower order (, ), where and are continuous non-negative functions defined on (-∞, +∞).

  • We assessed the microhabitat conditions of three fish species (black shinner Pseudopungtungia nigra, striped shinner Pungtungia herzi, Korean shinner Coreoleuciscus splendidus) considering various stream order in the Geumgang River Basin. A total of 1,275 individuals were collected from 19 sites. And the microhabitat condition was assessed measuring flow velocity, water depth and substrate size at each site. The highest relative frequencies for P. herzi, C. splendidus and P. nigra were calculated 100% (n = 310), 78.9% (n = 784) and 47.3% (n = 181) respectively. P. herzi appeared in all streams, irrespective of their stream order; however, appearance in streams with the $2^{nd}$ order or lower was found to be scarcer than in the ones with the $3^{rd}$ order or higher. On the other hand, P. nigra and C. splendidus didn't appear in streams with the $2^{nd}$ order or lower. When it comes to P. nigra, the ones with 7 to 8 cm in length most frequently appeared. They inhabited streams, mainly, with 0.2 to $0.4m\;s^{-1}$ and 0.5 m in velocity and water depth, respectively. The three species all preferred runs as types of habitats with lots of coarse gravels-cobbles. P. herzi, the ones with 5 cm or shorter in length most frequently appeared. They inhabited streams, mainly, with 0 to $0.3m\;s^{-1}$ and 0.4 m in velocity and water depth, respectively. C. splendidus with 7 to 8 cm in length occupied the majority of them. They appeared in streams, mainly, with $0.9m\;s^{-1}$or higher and 0.3 m in velocity and water depth.

  • An enhanced first shear deformation theory for composite plate is developed. The detailed process is as follows. Firstly, the theory is formulated by modifying higher order zigzag theory. That is, the higher order theory is separated into the warping function representing the higher order terms and lower order terms. Secondly, the relationships between higher order zig-zag field and averaged first shear deformation field based on the Reissner-Mindlin's plate theory are derived. Lastly, the effective shear modulus is calculated by minimizing error between higher order energy and first order energy. Then the governing equation of FSDT is solved by substituting shear modulus into effective shear modulus. The recovery processing with the nodal unknown obtained from governing equation is performed. The accuracy of the present proposed theory is demonstrated through numerical examples. The proposed method will serve as a powerful tool in the prediction of laminated composite plate.

  • Authors classified 161 cases of photon defects due to the gall bladder on hepatic parenchymal scintigraphy on $^{99m}Tc-phytate$ and $^{99m}Tc-DISIDA$ according to the position of the gall bladder, the pattern of photon defects and the hepatobiliary diseases. The results were as follows; 1) Conocordance of $^{99m}Tc-DISIDA$ and $^{99m}Tc-phytate$ hepatic parenchymal images in photon defect due to the gall bladder was 94% of 32 cases. 2) The frequency according to the position of the gall bladder was in order to 68% of the gall bladder of the lower margin of the liver, 30% of the intrahepatic gall bladder and 2% of the extrahepatic gall bladder, and the frequency of the photon defects due to the gall bladder was in order to 81% of the intrahepatic gall bladder, 71% of the gall bladder of the lower margin of the liver and 20% of the extrahepatic gall bladder. 3) The pattern of the photon defects due to the gall bladder was 47% of funnel shape in the intrahepatic gall bladder, 69% of semilunar shape in the gall bladder of the lower margin of the liver and 100% of semilunar shape in the extrahepatic gall bladder. 4) All of 9 cases of the intrahepatic gall bladder at the lateral area of the right lobe and the gall bladder of the lower margin of the liver at the right hepatic angle were associated with liver cirrhosis with the right lobe atrophy and the left lobe hypertrophy, 2 cases of the gall bladder of the lower margin of the liver at just-left side of the porta hepatis with hepatoma in the right lobe and 1 case of the intrahepatic gall bladder at the central portion of the right lobe with choledochal cyst.
