FOV 모델과 2D 패턴을 이용한 왜곡 중심 추정 기법 (Distortion Center Estimation using FOV Model and 2D Pattern)

  • 본 논문은 넓은 시야각을 갖는 어안렌즈로 촬영 시, 발생하는 방사 왜곡을 보정하는데 있어 왜곡의 중심을 추정하는 방법을 제안한다. FOV 왜곡 보정 모델의 경우 렌즈의 왜곡중심을 별도로 추정하지 않기 때문에 영상의 중심점과 렌즈의 왜곡중심의 오차가 클수록 왜곡보정의 정확도가 떨어지는 단점이 있다. 이에 본 논문은 광각 렌즈에서 FOV 모델과 2D 패턴을 이용하여 렌즈의 왜곡중심 추정을 통해 보다 정밀한 왜곡 보정 방법을 제안한다. 이를 위해 FOV 모델로부터 발생하는 왜곡곡선을 직선과 비교하여 곡선과 직선의 차가 가장 적은 위치를 왜곡의 중심으로 설정한다. 이 방법을 통하여 렌즈와 센서 중심점의 오차에 의해 발생하는 왜곡 중심 추정의 정확도를 향상시킬 수 있었고 실험결과를 통하여 확인할 수 있었다.

Flyback AC-DC Converter with Low THD Based on Primary-Side Control

  • A single-stage flyback LED AC-DC converter based on primary-side control under constant current mode is proposed in this study. The proposed converter features low total harmonic distortion (THD) and high power factor (PF). It also consists of a zero-crossing distortion compensation circuit and a variable duty ratio control compensation circuit to deal with the line current distortions caused by fixed duty ratio control. The system model and layout are built in Simplis and Cadence, respectively. The feasibility and performance of the proposed circuit is verified by designing and fabricating an IC controller in the HHNEC $0.35{\mu}m$ 5 V/40 V HVCMOS process. Experimental results show that the PF can reach a level in the range of 0.985-0.9965. Moreover, the average THD of the entire system is approximately 10%, with the minimum being 6.305%, as the input line voltage changes from 85 VAC to 265 VAC.

The Increment Of The Local Scour Depth At Piers By Constructing The Bridge Between Existing Bridges

  • In this paper, the increment of the local scour depth at piers by constructing the bridge between existing bridges is examined through the experiments in which 5 piers in the non-cohesive bed material in the experimental flume were installed. In the experiments the maximum distance of 25 times of the pier length and the maximum distortion width of 8 times of the pier width were utilized. Through the experimental studies, it was indicated that low flow, which can be characterized as the flow having low Froude numbers, the maximum bed configuration change is obtained when the piers are installed in the straight line in the flor direction without any distortion. However, In the high flow, which can be characterized as the flow having high Froude numbers, the maximum bed configuration change is obtained when the piers are installed with some distortion from the flow direction. The influence of the bed configuration by interaction between bridge piers is changed depending upon the Froude numbers, the distance between piers, and the distortion width between adjacent bridge piers. Also, because the scour patterns are affected by the bed configuration, the maximum scour should be increased by about 60% compared to that in a single pier if the interaction between bridge piers exists. It can be suggested that the maximum scour depth at bridge piers predicted by applying the existing equations should be increased if the interaction between bridge piers exist. Those cases are found when new bridges are constructed successively in the river in the urban area.

Steganalysis of adaptive JPEG steganography by selecting DCT coefficients according to embedding distortion

  • According to the characteristics of adaptive JPEG steganography which determines the changed DCT coefficients based on embedding distortion, a new steganalysis method by selecting the DCT coefficients with small distortion values is proposed. Firstly, the principle of adaptive JPEG steganography through minimizing distortion is introduced. Secondly, the practicability of selecting the changed DCT coefficients according to distortion values is studied. Thirdly, the proposed steganalysis method is given and the embedding sensitivity of the steganalysis feature extracted from the selected DCT coefficients is analyzed. Lastly, the implement processes of the proposed method are presented and analyzed in details. In the experiments, PQt, PQe and J-UNIWARD steganography are used as examples to verify the effect of the proposed steganalysis method for adaptive JPEG steganography. A serial experimental results show the detection accuracy can be improved obviously, especially when the payload is relatively low.

  • For a digital image watermarking some autostereograms are used such as random dot images. In there, the extraction efficiency is good and the distortion rate is low. In this paper, we shall select an optimized scaling parameter which derives low distortion rate and high extraction efficiency, when we use a random dot images as like as autostereograms into some images except for extremely biased gray level images.

  • A method to measure the distortions of the loudspeaker at low frequencies without an anechoic chamber is proposed. This method utilizes the fact that the n-th harmonic distortion outside the enclosure is boosted by 40log n dB compared to that inside the enclosure. By compensating for the effect of standing waves occuring inside the enclosure, it is possible to predict the distortions for wide frequency ranges below the first break-up frequency of the diaphragm. The method is applicable to the intermodulation distortion as well.

The amplifier with a differential out is designed to reduce the harmonics of the output current. The harmonic characteristics of various types of the class E amplifiers are compared through the simulation study.

  • Successive image contrast enhancement was used to direct digital radiography system. This system was accurately required acquisition signal in each pixel. But, applied high electric field in a-Se thin film for x-ray conversion layer was caused to acquisition signal distortion, then bring low image contrast.   • This study analyzes the turn-on and turn-off transients of a metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistor (MOSFET) with high-switching frequency systems. In these systems, the voltage distortion becomes serious at the output terminal of a Vienna rectifier by the turn-off delay of the MOSFET. The current has low-order harmonics through this voltage distortion. This paper describes the transient of the turn-off that causes the voltage distortion. The algorithm for reducing the sixth harmonic using a proportional-resonance controller is proposed to improve the current distortion without complex calculation for compensation. The reduction of the current distortion by high-switching frequency is verified by experiment with the 2.5-kW prototype Vienna rectifier.

H.264/AVC 부호화기에서 정수 연산을 사용한 왜곡치 예측 방식 (A Distortion Estimation Method Using Integer Operations in H.264/AVC Encoder)

  • 본 논문에서는 H.264 부호화기의 율-왜곡 최적화를 위한 저 복잡도의 왜곡치 예측 방식을 제안한다. H.264에서 사용하는 복원 왜곡치를 계산하기 위해서는 DCT, 양자화, 역 양자화, IDCT, 그리고 복원 과정을 거쳐야 한다. 제안 방식은 양자화에서 계산되는 정수 계수들을 사용하여 정수 연산만으로 왜곡치를 예측한다. 따라서 제안 방식을 사용함으로써 왜곡치 계산에 사용되었던 역 양자화, IDCT, 그리고 복원 과정이 생략된다. 실험 결과는 QP $24{\sim}36$에서 율-왜곡 최적화된 모드 결정 시간의 감소량이 평균 29 %와 최대 약 42 % 이고, 율-왜곡 성능 저하는 무시할 수 있을 정도로 작음을 보여준다.
