볼밀링 시간이 저온소결 PMN-PZN-PZT 세라믹스의 압전특성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Ball Milling Time on the Piezoelectric Characteristics of Low Temperature Sintering PMN-PZN-PZT ceramics)

  • In this study, in order to develop low temperature sintering ceramics for multilayer piezoelectric actuator application. At the PMN-PZN-PZT ceramics, the influence of the ball-mill time on piezoelectric characteristics was investigated. All the specimens improved according to the increase of the ball-mill time increase. The specimen showed the optimum value when ball-mill time is 60 hour. Their optimum values were density=$7.93g/m^3$, ${\varepsilon}_r=1371$, kp=0.551, Qm=1609, $d_{33}=321pC/N$, respectively.

  • In this study, in order to develop low temperature sintering ceramics for multilayer piezoelectric actuator application, PMN-PZN-PZT ceramics were manufactured as a function of the amount of CuO addition and their dielectric and piezoelectric characteristics were investigated. With the amount of CuO addition, the physical characteristics of specimens decreased. The specimens showed the optimum value at 0.5wt%CuO addition. Their optimum values were density=$7.93g/m^3$, ${\varepsilon}_r$=1398, kp=0.560, Qm=1706, $d_{33}$=327pC/N, respectively.

  • We studied the effect of sol-gel processing and sintering temperature on the microwave properties of $MgCo_2(VO_4)_2$ system(MCV) which is applicable to LTCC(low-temperature cofired ceramics). The MCV was synthesized by sol-gel process using solution that contains precursor molecules for Mg, Co, and V. SEM analysis shows that the average particle size is ${\sim}1{\mu}m$ and size distribution is very uniform compared to the one prepared by conventional solid-state reaction process. Highly dense samples were obtained at the sintering temperature range of $750^{\circ}C{\sim}930^{\circ}C$. The maximum $Q{\times}f_0$ value of 55,700GHz, dielectric constant(${\varepsilon}_r$) of 10.41 and temperature coefficient(${\tau}_f$) of $-85ppm/^{\circ}C$ was obtained at the sintering temperature of $930^{\circ}C$. The superior microwave properties of sol-gel processed MCV relative to conventional solid-state reaction processed one is remarkable especially at lower sintering temperatures such as $750^{\circ}C$ and $800^{\circ}C$.

  • For the fabrication of semiconducting BaTiO3 ceramics at lower sintering temperature BN was selected as a sintering aid and the microsturcture of semiconducting BaTiO3 ceramics and PTCR characteristics by their microstructural changes were investigated. by adding BN to 0.1 mol% Sb2O3-doped BaTiO3 ceramics the sintering temperature showing semiconducting BaTiO3 ceramics was reduced by 16$0^{\circ}C$ from 130$0^{\circ}C$ to 114$0^{\circ}C$ and the specific resistivity ratio was increased as the amount of BN was increased.

  • In this study, the influence of the powder sintering, the 2nd sinteiing and the grinding time on the Superconducting properties in the Bi(Pb)SiCaCuO Superconductor has been studied. From the analysis of SEM and XRD patterns, it was known that the sample prepared by the process of powder sintering has a porous microstructure with the critical temperature(Tc) below 77K, while the sample prepared by the 2nd sintering has a highly oriented microstructure with the Tc above 100K. The Critical Current Density(Jc) of the sample prepared by the 2nd sintering was better than the sample prepared by the process of powder sinteiing, but it's Jc, was low in practical use. Also, the effect of grinding time from 0[min] to 120[min] was investigated. As the grinding time is increased, the samples degraded from high-Tc phase to low-Tc phase and nonsuperconducting phases.

  • 본 논문에서는 최근 고품위 TV 및 고정세도 디스플레이용으로 화상의 정세도를 향상시키기 위해 수평주파수를 높이려는 움직임이 있어, 편향 요크용 페라이트 코아에는 고주파수 영역에 있어서도 코아로스가 낮은 재료가 요구되고 있는 실정이다. Mg-Zn 페라이트에 있어서 화학조성 및 프로세스가 미세구조에 미치는 영향에 착안하여 저온 소결화를 하였다. 저손실인 Mg-Zn계 Ferrite에 Cu를 첨가하였다. MgO, ZnO, $Fe_2$$O_3$, CuO를 선택한 후 조성비의 변화를 두며 CuO를 MgO로 치환하였다. 이 시료를 $980∼1350^{\circ}C$까지 3시간 소결하였다. 측정은 투자율, 전력손실, 수축율, 코아로스를 측정하였다. 시료의 수축율을 개시하는 온도는 $900^{\circ}C$부근이며 Cu치환에 따라 수축율이 증가하였으며, Cu 치환에 따라 소성온도가 약 $-50∼-75^{\circ}C$ 낮아졌다.

  • For the aim of low-temperature co-fired ceramic microwave components, sintering behavior and microwave properties (dielectric constant ${\varepsilon}_r$, quality factor Q, and temperature coefficient of resonant frequency ${\tau}_f$) are investigated in $Bi_{18}O(Ca_{0.725}Zn_{0.275})_8Nb_{12}O_{65}$ [BCZN] ceramics with addition of $V_2O_5$. The specimens are prepared by conventional ceramic processing technique. As the main result, it is demonstrated that the additives ($V_2O_5$) show the effect of lowering of sintering temperature and improvement of microwave properties at the optimum additive content. The addition of 0.25 wt% $V_2O_5$ lowers the sintering temperature to $890^{\circ}C$ utilizing liquidphase sintering and show the microwave dielectric properties (dielectric constant ${\varepsilon}_r$ = 75, quality factor $Q{\times}f$ = 572 GHz, temperature coefficient of resonance frequency ${\tau}_f\;=\;-10\;ppm/^{\circ}C$). The estimated microwave dielectric properties with $V_2O_5$ addition (increase of ${\varepsilon}_r$, decrease of $Q{\times}f$, shift of ${\tau}_f$ to negative values) can be explained by the observed microstrucure (sintered density, abnormal grain structure) and possibly high-permittivity $Bi_{18}Zn_8Nb_{12}O_{65}$ (BZN) phase determined by X-ray diffraction.

  • The $ZnNb_2O_6$ ceramics with 3wt% CuO and $B_2O_2$(1,3,5wt%) were prepared by the conventional mixed oxide method. The ceramics were sintered at the temperature of $1000^{\circ}C\sim1050^{\circ}C$ for 3hr. in air. The structural properties were investigated with sintering temperature by XRD and SEM. Also, the microwave dielectric properties were investigated with sintering temperature. Increasing the sintering temperature, the peak of second phase ($Cu_3Nb_2O_8$) was increased. But no significant difference was observed as sintering temperature. In the $ZnNb_2O_6$ ceramics with 3wt% CuO and 5wt% $B_2O_3$ sintered at $1025^{\circ}C$ for 3hr, the dielectric constant, quality factor, temperature coefficient of the resonant frequency were 22.92, 20,271GHz, -14.27ppm/$^{\circ}C$, respectively.

Fabrication and Characterization of Porous Hydroxyapatite Scaffolds

  • Using a polyurethane foam replica method, porous hydroxyapatite scaffolds (PHS) were fabricated using conventional and microwave sintering techniques. The microstructure and material properties of the PHS, such as pore size, grain size, relative density and compressive strength, were investigated at different sintering temperatures and holding times to determine the optimal sintering conditions. There were interconnected pores whose sizes ranged between about 300 ${\mu}m$ and 700 ${\mu}m$. At a conventional sintering temperature of 1100$^{\circ}C$, the scaffold had a porous microstructure, which became denser and saw the occurrence of grain growth when the temperature was increased up to 1300$^{\circ}C$. In the case of microwave sintering, even at low sintering temperature and short holding time the microstructure was much denser and had smaller grains. As the holding time of the microwave sintering was increased, higher densification was observed and also the relative density and compressive strength increased. The compressive strength values of PHS were 2.3MPa and 1.8MPa when conventional and microwave sintering was applied at 1300$^{\circ}C$, respectively.

  • Dye-Sensitized Solar Cell(DSSC) is a new type of solar cell by using photocatalytic properties of $TiO_2$. The size and shape of $TiO_2$ particle are two of important parameters that are related to the characteristics of DSSC. And these can be changed by controlling $TiO_2$ sintering conditions especially temperature. The particles of $TiO_2$ are classified anatase and rutile. Anatase particles are created at low sintering temperature and rutile particles are created at high sintering temperature. Anatase particles have advantages such as increased surfaces that cause more attached dye molecules, and fast electron transportation. And rutile particles have advatages such as more efficient light scattering. Therefore, we studied characteristics of DSSC in this paper as $TiO_2$ sintering temperature is varied. As a result, we found that characteristics of DSSC are very good in the case that anatase and rutile particles are together and this sintering temperature is 450$^{\circ}C$.
