Quasi-static cyclic displacement pattern for seismic evaluation of reinforced concrete columns

  • Although earthquakes generate random cyclic lateral loading on structures, a quasi-static cyclic loading pattern with gradually increasing amplitude has been commonly used in the laboratory tests because of its relatively low cost and simplicity compared with pseudo-dynamic and shake table tests. The number, amplitudes and sequence of cycles must be chosen appropriately as important parameters of a quasi-static cyclic loading pattern in order to account for cumulative damage matter. This paper aims to reach a new cyclic displacement pattern to be used in quasi-static tests of well-confined, flexure-dominated reinforced concrete (RC) columns. The main parameters of the study are sectional dimensions, percentage of longitudinal reinforcement, axial force intensity and earthquake types, namely, far-fault and near-fault.

풍화 화연토와 loess의 붕괴특성 비교 (The Comparison of Collapsible Characteristics on Decomposed Granite Soil and Loess)

  • The structure of the collapsible soils, such as decomposed granite soil and loess, were examined by the odeometer test, SEM & XES analysis and static & cyclic triaxial test, and hove this structure have influences upon the collapsible behaviour under static and cyclic load was investigated. The study results obtained are as follows; 1. The macropores space of decomposed granite soil (rd=1.50g/cm3) and loess (rd=1.43g/cm3) used in this test were well developed, and showed the behaviour of collapsible soil. 2. Collapsible soil has high resistance on the strain under natural moisture content, however, the resistance on the strain was sharply decreased by the absorption and increasing load since its special structure was destructed. 3. Under the static load, the strain of collapsible soil was high by the viscous flow of the cyclic bonds with time lapse, but Infer the cyclic load, the strain of collapsible soil was low since the tinge needed to destruct the bonding force of clay was not enough. 4. The understanding about the cyclic behaviour of collapsible soil may be helpful to predict the elastic & residual strain of the foundations by the earthquake together with the damage by the additional failure.

Inconel 600에 있어서 Al抗散浸透 被覆層의 微細組織과 耐反復酸化性 (Microstructures and Cyclic Oxidation Resistance of Aluminide Coatings for Inconel 600)

  • For the purpose of improving the cyclic oxidation resistance of Ni-base superalloy, Inconel 600, aluminide coating methods are studied. The formation rate of aluminide coating layers is measured as a function of time and pack composition to find out the optimum coating condition. The evaluation of cyclic oxidation is established by the change in weight, the microphotography and EPMA of cross sectional area during $200^{\circ}C\;{\leftrightarrow}\;950^{\circ}C\;and\;200^{\circ}C\;{\leftrightarrow}\;1100^{\circ}C$, respectively. The thickness of coating layer and weight gains are parabolic behavior in propotion to time and Al contents. In pack of low aluminum contents, 2 wt%, however, weight gain is decreased when activator, $NH_4Cl$ is higher than 2 wt%. The cyclic oxidation resistance of the coating carried out at 1100$^{\circ}C$ are superior to those of the coating diffusion-treated after pack cementation at 800$^{\circ}C$. Aluminide oxide, which is formed in external scale, is barrier to the cyclic oxidation.

  • 1962년 Gallager에 의해 처음 제안된 LDPC 부호는 복호를 수행하는 부호방식으로 패리티 행렬(H)의 대부분이 0으로 구성되어 복호시에 적은 연산량을 요구하며, shannon의 한계에 도달하는 복호 능력으로, 차세대 통신의 주된 부호 방식으로 고려되고 있다. 하지만, LDPC는 부호화에 있어서 여타 다른 부호방식에 비해 복잡한 특성을 가지고 있으므로, 이를 개선하기 위한 부호방식의 적용이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 효율 적인 부호화를 위하여 Dual-diagonal H parity행렬을 구성 하고, 쉽게 부호 길이를 확장 할 수 있는 Quasi-Cyclic 방식을 적용한 복호기를 구현하였다.

  • 본 논문에서 다양한 블록 크기를 가지는 완전 차집합군을 이용하여 불규칙 준순환 패리티 체크 부호를 생성하는 방법을 제안한다. 제안하는 부호는 기존의 설계방법들에 비해 부호율, 부호 길이, 차수 분포 측면에서 다양한 값들을 가질 수 있다는 장점을 보인다. 또한 랜덤한 방법으로 설계하기 힘든 매우 짧은 길이의 부호를 체계적으로 설계할 수 있다. 모의실험을 통해 제안하는 부호의 오류 정정 성능을 검증한다.

  • In this paper, a low power, small area cyclic time-to-digital converter in All-Digital PLL for DVB-S2 application is presented. Coarse and fine TDC stages in the two-step TDC are shared to reduce the area and the current consumption maintaining the resolution since the area of the TDC is dominant in the ADPLL. It is implemented in a 0.13 ${\mu}m$ CMOS process with a die area of 0.12 $mm^2$. The power consumption is 2.4 mW at a 1.2 V supply voltage. Furthermore, the resolution and input frequency of the TDC are 5 ps and 25 MHz, respectively.

構造용高炭素鋼材 의 高溫 低 사이클 피勞擧動 에 關한 硏究 (A Study on Low-Cycle Fatigue Behavior at Elevated Temperature of High Carbon Steel Used For Structural Purpose)

  • This study was undertaken to determine tensile properties and low-cycle fatigue behavior of 0.6%C high carbon steel used of structural purposes at temperatures up to 500.deg.C. In the low-cycle fatigue test the upper limit was decided by elongation(i.e. the total strain range), while the lower limit was defined by the load (i.e. zero load). The following results were obtained. Both, the ultimate tensile strength and low-cycle fatigue resistance attain the maximum values near 250.deg.C. Above this temperature the values decrease rapidly as the temperature increases. The low-cycle fatigue resistance decreases whenever there is an increase of the total strain range. Because the hardness of cycle fatigued specimen correlates cyclic hardening and cyclic softening, therefore the hardness of cycle fatigued specimen is smaller than that of the nonfatigued specimen at room temperature and 500.deg.C but much larger than the hardness of the nonfatigued specimen near 250.deg.C.

  • (1) SA508 Gr.1a LAS exhibited a moderate cyclic hardening in $310^{\circ}C$ low DO water. A saturation stage or a slightly secondary hardening was occurred with decreasing strain amplitude. (2) Fatigue life of SA508 Gr.1a LAS decreases a little with decreasing strain rate in $310^{\circ}C$ low DO water.

  • IEEE802.15.4의 비경쟁기반 다중 접속 기법으로 적용된 GTS(Guaranteed Time Slot)의 성능 분석과 문제점 분석을 통해, 개선된 형태의 Cyclic Contention free Access(Cyclic-CFA) 기법을 제안한다. Cyclic-CFA 기법은 Polling 기법을 개선한 스케줄링 방식으로, 장치(device)들은 PAN 코디네이터(coordinator)로부터 부여받은 Sequence Number를 기반으로 순차적으로 데이터를 전송한다. 별도의 Polling 패킷(packet)이 없고 단일방향성(unidirectional)으로 동작하므로, 고전적인 Polling 기법의 오버헤드를 줄일 수 있어 보다 효율적으로 채널을 사용할 수 있다. 또한 GTS보다 많은 수의 장치가 비경쟁 데이터 전송 서비스를 받을 수 있으며, 서비스 지연 시간을 줄일 수 있다.

Cascade 방식을 이용한 순환곱셈코드의 시스템 설계 (Design of A Cascaded Cyclic Product Coding system)

  • 본 논문에서는 random 및 burst 에러를 동시에 정정할 수 있는 순환 곱셈 로드를 실현하였다. 우선 두 코드의 곱을 실현하는 방법을 제시하였고, (7, 4)순환 Hamming 코드와 (3,1)순환 꼬드를 이용하여 실제로 하드웨어를 구현하였다. 시스템은 인코더와 디코더 그리고 인터줴이스 회로로 구성하였고 마이크로 컴퓨터를 이용하여 실험을 하였다. 인코더는 각 부 코드의 인로더에 지연 소자만 넣어 실현하였고, 디로더는 가장 간단한 디로딩 방식인 에러 trapping 디코더를 cascade 연결하여 실현하였다. 본 연구의 결과로서 이 순환 곱셈 코드는 디로딩이 쉽고, 4개의 random 에러와 burst 길이 8인 에러를 정정할 수 있으며, 성능은 일반 순환 코드보다 102∼103 정도 좋음을 알 수 있었다.
