TiAlN thin films were prepared by a multi target r.f magnetron sputtering system under different conditions. We have investigated the resistivity and T.C.R. (Temperature Coefficient of Resistance) characteristics of TiAlN films deposited on $Al_2O_3$ and glass substrates by sputtering in an $Ar:N_2$ gas mixture. We used Al and Ti metal as Target Material and $Ar:N_2$ gas as working gas. We varied the partial pressure ratio of $N_2/Ar$ from 0.2/7 to 1.0/6.2 (SCCM). And the R.F power of Ti and Al Target also were varied as 160/240, 200/200 and 240/160(W). In this experiment, we can get the precision thin film resistor with a very low T.C.R. (Temperature Coefficient of Resistance) below 25 ppm ${\Omega}/^{\circ}C$.
Graphitic carbon nitride (g-C3N4) has attracted considerable attention since its discovery for its catalysis of water splitting to hydrogen and oxygen under visible light irradiation. However, pristine g-C3N4 confers only low photocatalytic efficiency and requires surface cocatalysts to reach moderate activity due to a lack of accessible surface active sites. Inspired by the high specific surface area and superior electron transfer of graphene, we developed a strongly coupled binary structure of graphene and g-C3N4 aerogel with 3D porous skeleton. The as-prepared 3D structure photocatalysts achieve a high surface area that favors efficient photogenerated charge separation and transfer, enhances the light-harvesting efficiency, and significantly improves the photocatalytic hydrogen evolution rate as well. The photocatalyst performance is observed to be optimized at the ratio 3:7 (g-C3N4:GO), leading to photocatalytic H2 evolution of 16125.1 mmol. g-1. h-1 under visible light irradiation, more than 161 times higher than the rate achieved by bulk g-C3N4.
Laser Raman scattering method has been applied to measure equivalence ratio of methane/air mixture in injected spray. We used high power KrF excimer laser$(\lambda=248nm)$ and a high gain ICCD camera to capture low intensity signal. Raman shifts and Raman scattering cross -sections of $H_2,\;O_2,\;N_2,\;CO_2,\;CH_4\;and\;C_3H_8$ are measured precisely. Our results show an excellent agreement with those of other groups. Mole fraction measurement of $O_2\;and\;N_2$ from air shows that $O_2:N_2=0.206:0.794$. We used gas injector which was operated at 1 bar. Methane is used as a fuel. Spray region is $10mm\times37mm$ and this region is divided into 80 points. In Raman signals are obtained and ensemble averaged for each point. 3-d and contour plot of distribution of equuivalence ratio is presented. Our measured results show that the equivalence ratio of methane/air mixture in methane-rich region is reasonable. However, more study is necessary for methane-lean region because background noise level is almost same as Raman intensity of methane.
Laser Raman scattering method has been applied to measure equivalence ratio of methane/air and propane/air mixture in constant volume combustion chamber. We used high power KrF excimer laser$(\lambda=248nm)$ and a high gain ICCD camera to capture low intensity Raman signal. Raman shifts and Ram cross-sections of $H_2,\;O_2,\;N_2,\;CO_2,\;CH_4\;and\;C_3H_8$ were measured precisely. Our results showed an excellent agreement with other groups. Mole fraction measurement of $O_2\;and\;N_2$ from air showed that $O_2\;:\;N_2$ = 0.206 : 0.794. We used constant volume combustion chamber and gas injector which is operated at $5\sim10barg$. Methane and propane are used as a fuel. 50 Raman signal are obtained and ensemble averaged for measurement of equivalence ratio. Our measured results showed that the equivalence ratio of fuel/air mixture is reasonable at ${\pm}5%$ error range.

The purpose of this study is to estimate the degradation rate and process efficiency of the composting according to the salinity concentration. The samples of food waste for this study were collected in Pocheon-Gun, Kyungki-Do. The collected samples were adjusted to the optimum range of moisture content, pH and C/N ratio. After that, adding the saline, the samples with 3 different salinity concentrations(1%, 5% and 10%) were made. Then each sample was fed into the reactor with temperature controller. During the aerobic composting process, the change of the physical and chemical properties of the sample as temperature, pH, C/N ratio and $CO_2$ and $O_2$ concentration in the reactor were measured. From the experiment of this study, the result are following. The highest temperatures are $59^{\circ}C$ at RUN 1(1% salinity conc.), $49^{\circ}C$ at RUN 2(5% salinity conc.) and $45^{\circ}C$ at RUN 3(10% salinity conc.). The change of $CO_2$ production and $O_2$ consumption have the positive correlation with the change of the temperature. $CO_2$ production and $O_2$ consumption are peaked at the low salinity concentration. During composting, Run 1, RUN 2 and RUN 3 are increased pH to 8.9, 8.6 and 7.2 and slowly decreased C/N ratio to 18.9, 19.1 and 22.1 and moisture content to 51.1%, 53.7% and 55.0%, respectively. It is supposed that increasing salinity concentration causes the retarding of the microbial degradation activities during the composting. And for the efficient composting, the salinity concentration in the sample hat to be maintained below 5%.
Peptides, although high efficacy and specificity in their physiological function, usually have low therapeutical activities due to their poor bioavailability when administrated orally. Nanoparticles have been regarded as a useful vector for targeted drug delivery system because they can protect drug from being degraded quickly and pass the gastrointestinal barriers. Here we described a novel oral N-trimethyl chitosan nanoparticles formulation containing thymopentin (Tp5-TMC-NP). N-trimethyl chitosan (TMC) was synthesized and then used to prepare Tp5-TMC-NP by ionotropic gelation. A three-factor, five-level CCD (Central Composite Design) design was used in the optimization procedure, with HPLC as the analyzing method. The resulting Tp5-TMC-NP had a regular spherical surface and a narrow particle size range with a mean diameter of 110.6 nm. The average entrapment efficiency was 78.8%. The lyophilized Tp5-TMC-NP formulation was stable in $4^{\circ}C\;or\;-20^{\circ}C$ after storage of 3 months without obvious changes in morphology, particle size, pH and entrapment ratio. The results of the flow cytometer determination showed that the ratio of $CD4^+/CD8^+$ of Wistar female rat given Tp5-TMC-NP (ig) was 2.59 time that of the group given Tp5 (ig).

This paper presents the characteristics of Ta-N thin film strain gauges that are suitable for harsh environemts, which were deposited on thermally oxidized Si substrates by DC reactive magnetronsputtering in an argon-nitrogen atmosphere (Ar-$N_2$ (4 ~ 16 %)). These films were annealed for 1 hr in $2{\times}10^{-6}$ Torr in a vacuum furnace with temperatures that ranged from 500 - $1000^{\circ}C$. The optimized deposition and annealing conditions of the Ta-N thin film strain gauges were determined using 8 % $N_2$ gas flow ratio and annealing at $900^{\circ}C$ for 1 hr. Under optimum formation conditions, the Ta-N thin film strain gauges obtained a high electrical resistivity, ${\rho}\;=\;768.93\;{\mu}{\Omega}{\cdot}cm$, a low temperature coefficient of resistance, $TCR\;=\;-84\;ppm/^{\circ}C$ and a high temporal stability with a good longitudinal gauge factor, GF=4.12. The fabricated Ta-N thin film strain gauges are expected to be used inmicromachined pressure sensors and load cells that are operable under harsh environments.

The organic matter sources of phytoplankton and related environmental factors influencing algal bloom in Paldang reservoir were studied using nitrogen and carbon isotope ratio(${\delta}^{15}N$, ${\delta}^{13}C$). Phytoplankton samples for stable isotope analysis were collected from four points in reservoir using a plankton net. Physicochemical water quality, algal taxa and hydrological data were collected from published monitoring material. Phytoplankton samples were analyzed by IRMS. CN ratio of each sample was very similar to that of phytoplankton from literature cited. ${\delta}^{15}N$ of each sample was decreased during July. Mixing and dilution of nitrogen sources due to increment of influx by concentrated rainfall were considered as the main reason for the decline of ${\delta}^{15}N$. Based on analyzed ${\delta}^{15}N$ value of each sample, nitrogen source of Bughan river sample was presumed to come from soil. The nitrogen sources of Namhan river and Kyeongan stream samples seemed to be sewage or animal waste. Low ${\delta}^{15}N$ value in August (2012) seemed to be influenced by isotope fractionation due to the blooming of nitrogen-fixation blue-green algae (Anabaena spp.). Variation in ${\delta}^{15}N$ values particularly by blue-green algal bloom was considered the important factor for estimating the organic matter sources of phytoplankton.
In order to lower a reaction temperature with high conversions for simultaneous catalytic reduction of NO and $N_2O$ over Pd-Rh supported mixed metal oxide honeycomb catalysts, $H_2$ or CO was utilized as a reductant. When using the reductants, the effects of reaction conditions were examined in NO and $N_2O$ conversions, where reaction temperatures, concentrations of the reductants and oxygen and the concentration ratio of $N_2O$ to NO were varied. In using $H_2$ reductant, larger than 50% of NO and $N_2O$ conversions was observed at the temperatures below $200^{\circ}C$ in absence of $O_2$. In using CO reductant, NO and $N_2O$ conversions increased from the temperatures higher than $200^{\circ}C$ and $300^{\circ}C$, respectively. However, in use of both reductants, NO and $N_2O$ conversions decreased with increasing oxygen concentration. As a result, $H_2$ reductant could reduce simultaneously NO and $N_2O$ at relatively lower reaction temperature than CO. Also, NO and $N_2O$ conversions were less influenced by using $H_2$ reductant than CO one. Concentration ratio between NO and $N_2O$ did not affect their conversions regardless the type of reductants. Pretreatment of the catalyst in $H_2$ was more effective in simultaneous reduction of NO and $N_2O$ at low reaction temperature than that in $O_2$.
This study demonstrates the influence of environmental conditions, other than iron, on pyoverdin production by fluorescent Pseudomosonas. In slightly acidic pH conditions(pH 6), cell yield was reduced while the siderophore production per cell yield was increased. The optimum temperatures for the siderophore production and cell yield was $19^{\circ}C$ and $28^{\circ}C$ for 7NSK2 and $12^{\circ}C$ and $19^{\circ}C$ for ANP15. The carbon and nitrogen balance showed that at low C : N ratio of the growth medium (higher nitrogen concentration), both cell yield and siderophore production was reduced. Use of different carbon sources revealed that citrate as a carbon source facilitated iron uptake and resulted in a significant reduction in siderophore production. However, at the late exponential phase, the iron content in the cell biomass was not significantly different from those grown in glucose or succinate. From these results it can be suggested that the environmental factors other than iron may also influence siderophore production by fluorescent pseudomonas.
