다물체 동역학을 활용한 공작기계 구조물 이송을 위한 메카트로닉 해석 (Mechatronic Analysis for Feeding a Structure of a Machine Tool Using Multi-body Dynamics)

  • In this study, a rigid multi-body dynamic model has been developed for mechatronic analysis to evaluate dynamic behavior of a machine tool. The development environment was the commercialized analysis tool, ADAMS, for rigid multi-body dynamic analysis. A simplified servo control logic was implemented in the tool using its functions in order to negate any external tool of control definition. The advantage of the internal implementation includes convenience of the analysis process by saving time and efforts. Application of this development to a machine tool helps to evaluate its dynamic behavior against feeding its component, to calculate the motor torque, and to optimize parameters of the control logic.

Development of Thermal Error Model with Minimum Number of Variables Using Fuzzy Logic Strategy

  • Thermally-induced errors originating from machine tool errors have received significant attention recently because high speed and precise machining is now the principal trend in manufacturing proce sses using CNC machine tools. Since the thermal error model is generally a function of temperature, the thermal error compensation system contains temperature sensors with the same number of temperature variables. The minimization of the number of variables in the thermal error model can affect the economical efficiency and the possibility of unexpected sensor fault in a error compensation system. This paper presents a thermal error model with minimum number of variables using a fuzzy logic strategy. The proposed method using a fuzzy logic strategy does not require any information about the characteristics of the plant contrary to numerical analysis techniques, but the developed thermal error model guarantees good prediction performance. The proposed modeling method can also be applied to any type of CNC machine tool if a combination of the possible input variables is determined because the error model parameters are only calculated mathematically-based on the number of temperature variables.

  • 스마트 IoT의 특징인 분산성 및 이동성에 기반한 안전 요구사항을 분석 및 검증하기 위한 프로세스 대수 및 논리가 요구된다. 하지만 기존의 프로세스 대수 및 논리는 분산성 및 이동성에 대한 표현이 제한적이므로 스마트 IoT의 요구사항 분석 및 검증이 비직관적이다. 이러한 한계를 극복하기 위해, 본 논문에서는 GTS-VL(Geo-Temporal Space-Visual Logic)을 제시한다. GTS-VL은 GTS에서 표현된 블록 간의 관계를 다루는 1차술어논리이며, GTS는 프로세스 대수인 dTP-Calculus를 사용하여 명세한 시스템의 동작 과정을 2차원 시공간에서 표현한 그래프이다. 본 논문에서 사용한 SAVE 도구는 ADOxx Meta-modeling Platform을 통해 개발되었으며, SAVE를 사용하여 PBC(Producer-Buffer-Consumer) 예제의 안전 요구사항을 분석 및 검증하고 문자 및 시각화 기반 검증 방법을 비교 분석하여 장점 및 실용성을 보인다.

  • A semiconductor production system has sophisticated manufacturing operations and needs high capital investment for its expensive equipment, which warrants efficient real-time flow control for wafers. In the bay, we consider material handling equipment that can handle multiple carriers of wafers. The dispatching logic first determines the transportation time of each carrier to its destination by each unit of transportation equipment and uses this information to determine the destination machine and target carrier. When there is no available buffer space at the machine tool, the logic allows carriers to stay at the buffer of a machine tool and determine the delay time, which is used to determine the destination of carriers in URL. A simulation study shows this dispatching logic performs better than the procedure currently in use to reduce the mean flow time and average WIP of wafers and increase efficiency of material handling equipment.

  • 정형명세기법은 안전최우선시스템 소프트웨어의 안전성을 일정 수준 이상 보장할 수 있는 기법으로서, 원자력 발전소의 디지털 제어시스템의 개발에 사용되고 있다. 정형명세기법 NUSCR로부터 Programmable Logic Controller(PLC) 시스템을 구현하기 위한 소프트웨어인 Function Block Diagram(FBD) 프로그램을 자동으로 생성하는 기법[1]이 개발되었으나, 이를 지원하는 자동화 도구가 없어 이 기법이 널리 사용되지 못하였다. 본 논문에서는 이어 자동생성 기법을 지원하기 위하여 개발된 자동화 도구 NuSCRtoFBD를 소개한다. 본 연구에서 제안하는 NuSCRtoFBD 도구를 사용하여 NuSCR로부터 FBD를 자동생성 함으로써, 기존의 수동 프로그래밍 작업에서 발생했던 다수의 오류들을 줄일 수 있다.

  • This paper presents an algorithm for technology-dependent logic optimization and technology mapping, and describes a performance-driven logic synthesis system, SILOS, implemented based on the proposed algorithm. The system analyzes circuits and resynthesizes the critical sections such that generated circuit operates opertes within time constraints, using only gate types supported by library for direct implementation. Experimental results show that the system can be a viable tool in synthesizing high-performance logic circuits.

  • In turning the chip may be produced in the form of continuous chip or discontinuous one. Continuous chips produced at high speed machining may hit the newly cut workpiece surface and adversely affect the appearance of the surface finish and may interfere with tool and sometimes induce tool fracture. In this study relationship between AE signal and chip form was experimentally investigated, The experimental results show that types of chip form are possible to be classified from the AE signal using fuzzy logic.

영상검지기를 이용한 실시간 교통신호 감응제어 (A Development of a Real-time, Traffic Adaptive Control Scheme Through VIDs.)

  • The development and implementation of a real-time, traffic adaptive control scheme based on fuzzy logic through Video Image Detector systems (VIDs) is presented. Through VIDs based image processing, fuzzy logic can be used for a real-time traffic adaptive signal control scheme. Fuzzy control logic allows linguistic and inexact traffic data to be manipulated as a useful tool in designing signal timing plans. The fuzzy logic has the ability to comprehend linguistic instructions and to generate control strategy based on a priori verbal communication. The implementation of fuzzy logic controller for a traffic network is introduced. Comparisons are made between implementations of the fuzzy logic controller and the actuated controller in an isolated intersection. The results obtained from the application of the fuzzy logic controller are also compared with those corresponding to a pretimed controller for the coordinated intersections. Simulation results from the comparisons indicate the performance of the system is between under the fuzzy logic controller. Integration of the aforementioned schemes into and ATMS framework will lead to real-time adjustment of the traffic control signals, resulting in significant reduction in traffic congestion.

  • In this study, advanced computational technique for mechatronic analysis has been developed for the efficient design and test of typical machine tool models. Flexible multi-body dynamic (FMBD) analysis method combined with motion controller including control logics is used to simulate typical operation conditions. The present FMBD machine tool model is composed of flexible column structure, rigid body spindle, vertical motion guide (arm) and screw elements. Driving motor clement with rotating degree-of-freedom is interconnected and governed by the designed Matlab Simulink control logic, and then the position of the spindle is feedback into the control logic. It is practically shown from the results that the investigation of designed machine tools with controller can be effectively conducted and verified.
