  • It is possible to make a practical application for many services by using Home Networking. It's brings much improve the quality of our life. Remote control communication should be made by Home Network but present networks are generally using wireless Internet. But, this method don't use exist home and not install wireless internet. Because It need to many devices. Therefore, in this paper we implement gas valve remote control system using RPM(Radio Packet Modem). We can easily installing systems and operating. This system provide different solution for Home networking.

  • ABS is a safety device for preventing wheel locking in a sudden baking. Its control methods are classified into three types; deceleration control, wheel slip control and deceleration/acceleration control. The braking force takes the influence of the friction coefficient between road and tire, which in turn depends on the wheel slip as well as road conditions. In this paper, it has been proposed the wheel slip control system to apply the adaptive control method at the ABS. To maintain wheel slip to desired wheel slip, it have been done the linearization and designed the adaptive controller to apply gradient method based on the reference model. It is illustrated by computer simulations that the proposed control system gives good performances and adaptation to parameter variation.

Effects of Screw Configuration on Biomechanical Stability during Extra-articular Complex Fracture Fixation of the Distal Femur Treated with Locking Compression Plate (잠김 금속판(LCP-DF)을 이용한 대퇴골 원위부의 관절외 복합골절 치료시 나사못 배열에 따른 생체역학적 안정성 분석)

  • The locking compression plates-distal femur(LCP-DF) are being widely used for surgical management of the extra-articular complex fractures of the distal femur. They feature locking mechanism between the screws and the screw holes of the plate to provide stronger fixation force with less number of screws than conventional compression bone plate. However, their biomechanical efficacies are not fully understood, especially regarding the number of the screws inserted and their optimal configurations. In this study, we investigated effects of various screw configurations in the shaft and the condylar regions of the femur in relation to structural stability of LCP-DF system. For this purpose, a baseline 3-D finite element (FE) model of the femur was constructed from CT-scan images of a normal healthy male and was validated. The extra-articular complex fracture of the distal femur was made with a 4-cm defect. Surgical reduction with LCP-DF and bone screws were added laterally. To simulate various cases of post-op screw configurations, screws were inserted in the shaft (3~5 screws) and the condylar (4~6 screws) regions. Particular attention was paid at the shaft region where screws were inserted either in clustered or evenly-spaced fashion. Tied-contact conditions were assigned at the bone screws-plate whereas general contact condition was assumed at the interfaces between LCP-DF and bone screws. Axial compressive load of 1,610N(2.3 BW) was applied on the femoral head to reflect joint reaction force. An average of 5% increase in stiffness was found with increase in screw numbers (from 4 to 6) in the condylar region, as compared to negligible increase (less than 1%) at the shaft regardless of the number of screws inserted or its distribution, whether clustered or evenly-spaced. At the condylar region, screw insertion at the holes near the fracture interface and posterior locations contributed greater increase in stiffness (9~13%) than any other locations. Our results suggested that the screw insertion at the condylar region can be more effective than at the shaft during surgical treatment of fracture of the distal femur with LCP-DF. In addition, screw insertion at the holes close to the fracture interface should be accompanied to ensure better fracture healing.

  • In this paper, we were performed a structural analysis and durability analysis for an integral frame with an axle according to development of the electric locomotive traction motor. In terms of the structural stability, as a result of the analysis modeling with coupling conditions of beam element and an alternative element of three-dimensional, the maximum von-Mises stress of the locking screw mounting frame were similar as 50MPa and 51MPa. Also A comparison of the natural frequency and the exciting frequency while driving of the electric locomotive No. 8200, the natural frequency is 627.05Hz~856.9Hz while the exciting frequency is not more than most 30Hz or 553Hz, 1110Hz. Therefore, it is possible to avoid the resonance.

  • In this study, the function of a hydraulic brake system with a vacuum booster is systematically analyzed according to the mutual relations which follow : - the brake pedal force vs. booster cylinder input force - the booster output force vs. master cylinder input force - the hydraulic line pressure vs. braking deceleration. A computer program is developed based on the theory which is able to predict and analyze the pedal force characteristics at the beginning of the initial stage of brake system design. Analytical results show good agreement with the experimental vehicle test.

  • 본 연구는 전방점화 방식(the head-end ignition)을 채택하고 있는 composite 고체 추진기관(구룡 1모타)을 이용하여 후방점화 방식(the after-end ignition)에 의한 점화 가능성을 검토하였으며, 점화 방식 차이에 따른 추진기관의 초기 연소거동의 차이점을 고찰하고자 한 실험 연구로서, 후방 점화장치를 설계·제작하여 지상연소시험을 수행하였다. 점화장치는 착화장치(initiation system)와 에너지 방출장치(energy release system), 구조물(Hardware)로 구성되는데, 착화장치는 기존의 K2 squib를 사용하였고, 에너지 방출장치는 FRP튜브에 MTV pellet 점화제를 사용하였으며, 점화기를 후방에 부착시키는 방법으로는 flexible finger 형태의 locking sleeve를 설계하여 노즐목에 고정하였다.

Linear shell elements for active piezoelectric laminates

  • Piezoelectric composite laminates are a powerful material system that offers vast options to improve structural behavior. Successful design of piezoelectric adaptive structures and testing of control laws call for highly accurate, reliable and numerically efficient numerical tools. This paper puts focus onto linear and geometrically nonlinear static and dynamic analysis of smart structures made of such a material system. For this purpose, highly efficient linear 3-node and 4-node finite shell elements are proposed. Both elements employ the Mindlin-Reissner kinematics. The shear locking effect is treated by the discrete shear gap (DSG) technique with the 3-node element and by the assumed natural strain (ANS) approach with the 4-node element. Geometrically nonlinear effects are considered using the co-rotational approach. Static and dynamic examples involving actuator and sensor function of piezoelectric layers are considered.

  • A route control in railway is one of the very important system to operate a train. An efficient train route control assures to increase train operation performance with a same railway system. The erroneous route control can accompany serious accidents which occur train collision or derailment which provokes death. A Route control carries out exactly lest the accident should take place. An interlocking table is widely used for the exact route control. The table has the problem of its exactness proving because it has been established by experts. In this paper, We tried to formalize a route control using mathematical logic. A route consists of symbolized tracks, signals, switch and crossing. It represents as a set, respectively. We proposed route setting control logic, converted the elements to set logics and construct route logics with the set logics of the elements. Finally we proposed a model which presents a prototype routes and we proved the proposed logics using the proposed method.

  • In the current high network-centralized computing and enterprising environment, it is getting essential to transmit data reliably at very high rates. Until now previous client/server model based NFS(Network File System) or AFS(Andrew's Files System) have met the various demands but from now couldn't satisfy those of the today's scalable high-performance computing environment. Not only performance but data sharing service redundancy have risen as a serious problem. In case of NFS, the locking issue and cache cause file system to reboot and make problem when it is used simply as ip-take over for H/A service. In case of AFS, it provides file sharing redundancy but it is not possible until the storage supporting redundancy and equipments are prepared. Lustre is an open source based cluster file system developed to meet both demands. Lustre consists of three types of subsystems : MDS(Meta-Data Server) which offers the meta-data services, OST(Objec Storage Targets) which provide file I/O, and Lustre Clients which interact with OST and MDS. These subsystems with message exchanging and pursuing scalable high-performance file system service. In this paper, we compare the transmission speed of gigabytes file between Lustre and NFS on the basis of concurrent users and also present the high availability of the file system by removing more than one OST in operation.
