This study examined the recognition differences between local residents and national park managers on the adjustment of national parks which are conducted every ten years for the purpose of providing basic information for the park management, according to the Natural Parks Act. Both local residents and national park managers positively perceived the adjustment of national parks, but park managers showed concern towards the damage of natural resources resulting from the cancellation and adjustment of restricted development districts in Korean national parks. Local residents are more likely than park managers to recommend boundary adjustment in other national parks regarding the influence of parks adjustment on local change. While local residents recognized that the boundary adjustment of national parks improves the level of community management, park managers focused on damages on the local environment and the park landscape adjacent to the areas. The result shows the recognition differences of local residents and park managers. Further research into adjustment of national parks is necessary to diminish perception gaps among stakeholders and develop prediction indicators of cancellation effect in response to the future cancellation areas of national parks through the characteristics of cancellation communities, revitalization of local economy, and environmental change of local community.

본 연구의 목적은 Ajzen(1991)의 계획된 행동이론을 바탕으로 로컬 푸드를 구매와 관련한 기초적인 인지적 근거를 조사하는 것이다. 개방형 문항으로 이루어진 온라인 설문조사를 통해서 163명의 응답자로부터 자료를 수집하였으며, 수집된 로컬 푸드 구매와 관련한 소비자의 핵심적인 행동적 신념, 규범적 신념, 통제적 신념에 대한 자료를 분석하고 평가했다. 응답자들의 가장 핵심적인 행동적 신념은 지역경제 발전에 이바지함으로 나타났으며, 뒤를 이어 신선함, 식품의 원산지와 취급과정에 대한 지식, 환경혜택, 건강혜택으로 나타났다. 규범적 신념으로는 지역 사업가, 지역 농부, 가족, 지역민, 친구의 순으로 로컬 푸드 구매를 지지하는 것으로 나타났다. 반면, 로컬 푸드 구매와 관련한 장애물로는 불편한 로컬푸드 상점의 위치와 영업시간, 높은 가격, 상품의 제한성과 다양성, 구매처에 대한 제한된 지식등이 주로 거론되었다.

By using the method of equivalence of E. Cartan we calculate the local scalar invariants for Riemannian 2-maniolds. We define also a notion of local invariants for submanifolds in $R^{n + d}, n \geq 2, d \geq 1$, in terms of the symmetry of the local isometric embedding equations of Riemannian n-manifolds into $R^{n + d}$. We show that the local invariants obtained by the Cartan's method are the intrinsic expressions of the local invariants in our sense in the casees of surfaces in $R^3$.

This study is to explore the relationship between trust in local administrative organization and organizational performance. Local administrative organizations provide the citizens with administrative services. Heightening the organizational performance contributes the citizens' happiness and the stream of times through organizations' change. To provide high quality of administrative service to citizens, trust in organizations is more important than any other capital. The improvement of organizational performance needs through this social capital. Factors about trust variables and organizational performance variables are extracted through the theoretical discussions. To do the research, public servants in 7 local administrative organizations of Gangwondo were asked to do the survey about how trust in organizations affects organizationa performances. The results explain that trust variables are related to organizational performance, and the local administrative organization which is high in trust is high in organizational performance. Trust in local administrative organizations improves the organizational performance internally and the organization will obtain trust from the citizens externally.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to identify the success factor of local food markets compared to other types of markets such as large discount stores. Methods: SWOT analysis was conducted. In addition to the analysis, we also have interviewed the local farmers and retailers to elaborate the analysis results. Results: The study shows the success factors to the local markets are minimizing the stages of distribution channels, shortening the travel distance from producers to consumers, providing fresh foods, maintaining small amount of production system, and supporting customers. Conclusion: Customer satisfaction is one of the key factors for the successful growth of local food markets. It is strongly recommend to find strategic ways of meeting customer needs since the local food markets are facing tough competition form the large retail stores armed with huge amount of capitals and infrastructures.

The objectives of this study were to identify the roles of local government for developing community lifelong education, and to suggest desirable directions for upbringing human resource for the future in local community. The roles of local governments have become a more difficult challenge in the context of the ever increasing trends of rural population's moving toward urban areas mainly for the better education for their children. Even though there are regional differences in income level, educational environment, and budgetary constraints. local governments can play an important role in helping community people to build strong community in terms of economic development and enhancing the level of quality of life, and upbringing community leaders. Local governments' priority should be given to provide the better educational opportunities for students as well as community people through community lifelong educational programs.

Local polynomial regression is widely used because of good properties such as such as the adaptation to various types of designs, the absence of boundary effects and minimax efficiency Choi and Hall (1998) proposed an estimator of regression function using a convex combination idea. They showed that a convex combination of three local linear estimators produces an estimator which has the same order of bias as a local cubic smoother. In this paper we suggest another estimator of regression function based on a convex combination of five local constant estimates. It turned out that this estimator has the same order of bias as a local cubic smoother.

Hybrid genetic algorithms (HGAs) have been studied as various ways. These HGAs usually use both the global search property of genetic algorithm (GA) and the local search one of local search techniques. One of the general types, when constructing HGAs, is to incorporate a local search technique into GA loop, and then the local search technique is repeated as many iteration number as the loop. This paper proposes a new HGA with a conditional local search technique (c-HGA) that does not be repeated as many iteration number as GA loop. For effectiveness of the proposed c-HGA, a conventional HGA and GA are also suggested, and then these algorithms are compared with each other in numerical examples,

A local anesthetic agent which is most commonly used for outpatients is lidocaine hydrochloride that contains epinephrine, which is for vasoconstriction in 1:100,000 concentration. This agent is known as a safe local anesthetic agent and has been used widely for topical use or injections. However, the allergic reaction that we will report in this case occurred when common local anesthesia was done intraorally, and the patient complained of hyperventilation, tachycardia, abdominal pain and unintentional tears. We experienced an allergic reaction after injecting the lidocaine hydrochloride and therefore report the case to suggest that local anesthesia should be always carried out very carefully.

The widespread use of smartphones with a variety of features has enabled mobile Internet-based services. One of these is online-to-offline (O2O) based services that connects online users with offline stores to add value. Applying this O2O strategy to local information retrieval induces online users to be linked to offline regions, thereby enabling the exchange of local-based information and helps create new value. This paper proposes and illustrates the implementation of O2O-based a local information providing service that utilizes photos of the local attraction. Also, we propose a fake-free ranking method to provide reliable local information to users and suggest its application of the service.
