현지시장지향성의 매개변수 효과를 통한 다국적기업의 해외시장 투자성과에 대한 실증연구 (An Empirical Analysis on MNC's Investment Performances in a Host Country through Market Orientation Mediation Effects)

  • Multinational corporations (MNCs) usually face indigenous business environments in host countries which are different from a home country's. In this circumstance, MNCs would accomplish low-investing performance if they pursuit the same as the home oriented business strategy in the host country. The more different kinds of specialized environments a host countries have, the more pressure of modifying the international strategy needed for MNCs. This paper examines that how a different market environment between a home country and a host country, through MNC's local responsive managements, can influence investing performance in a host country. This paper conducts structural equation analyses with collected empirical data focusing upon a MNC's market orientation efforts and the realization of management localization (i.e., increasing local sourcing intensity or local sales intensity) as mediators between the specialized environment in a host country and the MNC's investing performance. This paper has several contributions in developing the prior approaches: first, the market orientation variables are regarded not as normal independent factors but mediators; second, two step mediation model is examined to make link between host market's heterogeneity and MNC's performance.

  • A lot of localization algorithms have been developed in order to achieve autonomous navigation. However, most of localization algorithms are restricted to certain conditions. In this paper, Monte Carlo localization scheme with a map-matching algorithm is suggested as a robust localization method for the Public Service Robot to accomplish its tasks autonomously. Monte Carlo localization can be applied to local, global and kidnapping localization problems. A range image based measure function and a geometric pattern matching measure function are applied for map matching algorithm.   • The Landscape Act was enacted in 2007 introducing a new procedure of the Local Landscape Agreement and the Local Landscape Improvement Projects. The act has granted local governments a legal basis to support residents participation activities in order to create, improve, and maintain the townscape quality of their neighborhood environments. The degree of utilization of this particular process, however, is far below the expectation. Partly, it is due to the lack of field experience and concrete guidelines for preparation and implementation in actual landscape planning process. This study aims to seek for detailed solution to lead the residents participation for local landscape improvement in Korea through consideration for institutional strategies and cases about the local landscape planning and management in Japan. Local landscape improvement projects in Japan are progressing successfully in concurrence with a variety of local participants such as residents participation, administrative supporting and supporting of local company. And it will be possible to support systematically with systematization of participants, such as NPO and a council.

잡음환경에서 Teager 에너지와 음성부재확률 기반의 음성향상 알고리즘 (Speech Enhancement Algorithm Based on Teager Energy and Speech Absence Probability in Noisy Environments)

  • 본 논문에서는 다양한 잡음환경에서 효과적인 잡음 제거 (NS, noise suppression)를 위한 새로운 음성향상 (speech enhancement) 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안된 방법에서는 음성향상 알고리즘에서 잡음전력 갱신을 위한 음성검출 (VAD, voice activity detection)의 피쳐 (feature) 파라미터로서 오염된 음성신호를 기반으로 주파수 밴드 별로 도출되는 기존의 지역 음성부재확률 (LSAP, local speech absecne probability) 대신 오염된 음성신호의 Teager energy (TE)를 적용한 LSAP를 적용한다. 또한 적용된 TE operator의 성능을 개선하기 위하여 프레임 단위로 도출되는 전역 음성부재확률 (GSAP, global SAP)을 TE의 가중치 파라미터로서 적용한다. 제안된 알고리즘은 기존의 방법과 객관적인 실험을 통해 비교 평가한 결과 다양한 배경잡음 환경에서 향상된 성능을 보였다.

  • A new approach based on artificial potential function is proposed for the obstacle avoidance of redundant manipulators. Unlike the so-called "global" path planning method, which requires expensive computation for the path search before the manipulator starts to move, this new approach, "local" path planning, researches the path in real-time using the local distance information. Previous use of artificial potential function has exhibited local minima in some complex environments. This thesis proposes a potential function that has no local minima even for a cluttered environment. This potential function has been implemented for the collision avoidance of a redundant robot in Simulation. The simulation also employ an algorithm that eliminates collisions with obstacles by calculating the repulsive potential exerted on links, based on the shortest distance to object.

  • This paper investigates the evolution of 'inter-firm' technology transfer in the Thai automobile industry, which has gradually been integrated into global production network of some specific automotive models(one-ton pickups). This paper discusses the linkage between the role of automobile assemblers in transferring technology and the way their strategic changes bring about heightened demands on the technological capacity of suppliers and the contents of technology transfer. With higher competition at the global level, local suppliers are required to improve their technical and managerial skills, especially in the area of 'product engineering' capability. The authors examine the ways local firms have adapted to these changes in their environments, as well as the ways they utilize inter-firm relationship with automobile assemblers as a means to improve their own technological capabilities. The dynamic process of capability formation in local parts firms, through intensive efforts and learning inducements brought about by inter-firm relationships, are also discussed.

지방자치단체의 유형별 보행자사고 특성분석 및 보행환경조성사업 개선방안 연구 (A Study on the Implementation of Walking Environment Projects by Analyzing Characteristics of Pedestrian Accidents by Local Government Types)

  • 본 연구는 비계층적 K-평균 군집분석을 이용하여 보행자사고와 토지이용특성에 따른 지방자치단체의 유형을 분류하고 유형별 보행자사고의 세부특성을 Mann-Whitney U검증과 Kruskal-Wallis 검증을 이용하여 분석한 다음 그 결과로부터 보행환경 조성사업에 대한 개선방안을 제안하였다. 지역은 행정시와 행정구를 제외한 기초지방자치단체를 기준으로 230개 시 군 구로 구분된다. 비계층적 K-평균 군집분석 결과 230개 지방자치단체는 유형 1-A(상업지가 상대적으로 우세한 도시형), 유형 1-B(주거지가 우세한 도시형), 유형 2(농촌형)로 분류되었으며, 지자체 유형별 보행자사고 차이 검증결과 9m 미만 생활형 도로의 보행자사고 발생율은 공통적으로 60% 이상으로 도시형에 비해 농촌형에서 발생할 비율이 더 높았다. 또한 유형별로 유형 1-B는 교차로 내 보행자사고 사상자수가 많고 횡단 중 사고 비율도 높은 반면 길가장자리구역 통행 중 보행자 사상자수 비율은 유형 2에 해당하는 농촌형이 가장 높았다.

  • A genetic algorithm for global and local path planning and collision avoidance of mobile robot in dynamic working environment is proposed. The genetic algorithm searches for a path in the entire and continuous free space and unifies global path planning and local path planning. The simulation shows the proposed method is an efficient and effective method when compared with the traditional collision avoidance algorithms.

  • 지방자치단체에 의한 감사는 지방자치단체의 내부 통제를 개선하고 자신들의 정책을 진단하여 관리능력을 향상시키며 정책 오류를 예방하는 역할을 한다. 그러나 자기기관 감사와 검사 수준은 매우 낮은 실정이다. 이는 전문가 수준의 직원보다 빈번한 순환 보직으로 실무 경험이 미흡한 감사요원을 배치하기 때문이다. 이러한 문제를 극복하고 지방자치단체의 자체감사기능을 강화하기 위하여 여러 가지 감사환경을 고려한 솔루션으로 새로운 시스템을 제안한다. 본 연구는 지방감사의 문제점을 찾아 자체 감사평가시스템의 새로운 체계를 제시하였다. 자체전자감사평가시스템은 자체기관 감사 및 검사를 강화하여 궁극적으로 지방정부의 역량을 강화시킬 것이다.

  • We have recently witnessed many of global companies did not successfully adapt themselves to local markets, and finally exited the markets experiencing failures. The purpose of this study is to suggest practical glocalization strategies for global e-service companies to run their respective businesses in local markets with success. Glocalization is a terminology blending globalization and localization, meaning that global companies adapt themselves to local cultures, environment, languages, laws and regulations so as to survive and prosper in those markets while maintaining high quality of standards and processes they originally have for global competitive edge. Examining success stories as well as failure ones of global e-service companies having entered Asian markets, we provide marketing mix strategy for successful glocalization, and suggest some guidelines for prospective e-service companies wishing to enter local markets with different cultures and languages to fit themselves to new environments.
