This paper proposes an imputation method using a bidirectional k-nearest components search based local linear regression method. The bidirectional k-nearest-components search method selects components in the dynamic range from the missing points. Unlike the existing methods, which use a fixed-size window, the proposed method can flexibly select adjacent components in an imputation problem. The weight values assigned to the components around the missing points are calculated using local linear regression. The local linear regression method is free from the rank problem in a matrix of dependent variables. In addition, it can calculate the weight values that reflect the data flow in a specific environment, such as a blackout. The original missing values were estimated from a linear combination of the components and their weights. Finally, the estimated value imputes the missing values. In the experimental results, the proposed method outperformed the existing methods when the error between the original data and imputation data was measured using MAE and RMSE.

This study is to explore the relationship between trust in local administrative organization and organizational performance. Local administrative organizations provide the citizens with administrative services. Heightening the organizational performance contributes the citizens' happiness and the stream of times through organizations' change. To provide high quality of administrative service to citizens, trust in organizations is more important than any other capital. The improvement of organizational performance needs through this social capital. Factors about trust variables and organizational performance variables are extracted through the theoretical discussions. To do the research, public servants in 7 local administrative organizations of Gangwondo were asked to do the survey about how trust in organizations affects organizationa performances. The results explain that trust variables are related to organizational performance, and the local administrative organization which is high in trust is high in organizational performance. Trust in local administrative organizations improves the organizational performance internally and the organization will obtain trust from the citizens externally.

기후 온난화에 의한 한반도의 아열대화된 기후는 국지성 폭우가 내는 경향을 높이고 있으며 이로 인해 돌발홍수등의 피해가 증가하고 있다. 국지성 폭우의 피해를 피하기 위해 대규모의 클라이언트들에게 국지성 폭우 예보 서비스가 필요하지만 이러한 서비스를 가능하게 하는 무선 데이터 방송 기반의 서비스 프레임워크 개발이 보고된 것이 없다. 본 논문에서는 대규모 클라이언트들에게 정보 서비스를 가능하게 하는 무선데이터 방송 기법을 이용하여 국지성 폭우 예보 서비스를 가능하게 하는 프레임워크를 설계하고 구현한다. 개발된 서비스 프레임워크는 다양한 데이터 스케줄링 기법과 인덱싱 기법을 적용할 수 있는 확장성을 가진다. 시뮬레이션을 통해 성능을 평가하여 개발된 프레임워크가 효율적으로 국지성 폭우 예보 서비스를 제공함을 보였다.

The PCI 2.2 spec introduces Delayed Transaction mechanism to improve system performance for target device with slow local bus. But this mechanism has some restriction since target device doesn't know prefetch data size. So, we propose a new mechanism, which target device prefetch exact data on local bus, to improve data rate on PCI or local interface. The simulation results showed that the proposed mechanism more improves system performance than the Delayed Transaction mechanism.

Many different semi-supervised learning algorithms have been proposed for use wit unlabeled data. However, most of them focus on classification problems. In this paper we propose a semi-supervised regression algorithm called the semi-supervised local constant estimator (SSLCE), based on the local constant estimator (LCE), and reveal the asymptotic properties of SSLCE. We also show that the SSLCE has a faster convergence rate than that of the LCE when a well chosen weighting factor is employed. Our experiment with synthetic data shows that the SSLCE can improve performance with unlabeled data, and we recommend its use with the proper size of unlabeled data.

We present a diagnostic method for the quasi-likelihood estimators in generalized linear models. Since these estimators can be usually obtained by iteratively reweighted least squares which are well known to be very sensitive to unusual data, a diagnostic step is indispensable to analysis of data. We extend the local influence approach based on the maximum likelihood function to that on the quasi-likelihood function. Under several perturbation schemes local influence diagnostics are derived. An illustrative example is given and we compare the results provided by local influence and deletion.

Techniques to rapidly model local spaces, using 3D range data can enable implementation of: (1) real-time obstacle avoidance for improved safety, (2) advanced automated equipment control modes, and (3) as-built data acquisition for improved quantity tracking, engineering, and project control systems. The objective of the research reported here was to introduce current rapid local modeling techniques and develop rapid local spatial modeling tools.

In this paper, we propose a method to provide the distribution of option price under local volatility model when market-provided implied volatility data are given. The local volatility model is one of the most widely used smile-consistent models. In local volatility model, the volatility is a deterministic function of the random stock price. Before estimating local volatility surface (LVS), we need to estimate implied volatility surfaces (IVS) from market data. To do this we use local polynomial smoothing method. Then we apply the Dupire formula to estimate the resulting LVS. However, the result is dependent on the bandwidth of kernel function employed in local polynomial smoothing method and to solve this problem, the proposed method in this paper makes use of model averaging approach by means of bandwidth priors, and then produces a robust local volatility surface estimation with a confidence interval. After constructing LVS, we price barrier option with the LVS estimation through Monte Carlo simulation. To show the merits of our proposed method, we have conducted experiments on simulated and market data which are relevant to KOSPI200 call equity linked warrants (ELWs.) We could show by these experiments that the results of the proposed method are quite reasonable and acceptable when compared to the previous works.

본 논문은 무선 센서 네트워크를 위한 위치 기반 라우팅에서 지역적이고 근접한 지역에 소스 노드들의 데이타를 효율적으로 수집하고 융합하기 위한 이슈를 다룬다. 우리는 우선 그러한 지역에서 소스 노드들로부터 데이타를 수집하고 융합하여 글로벌 싱크에게 융합된 데이터로 전달하는 로컬 싱크의 개념을 소개한다. 우리는 또한 로컬싱크의 최적의 위치를 결정하기 위한 모델을 디자인하고 로컬 싱크를 통해서 데이타를 수집하기 위한 방안을 제안한다. 시뮬레이션 결과는 위치 기반 라우팅에서 로컬 싱크를 운영하는 제안 방안이 로컬 싱크를 운영하지 않는 기존의 방안보다 에너지와 데이타 전송률 면에서 더 효율적임을 보여준다.

Assessing local government performance has become a crucial issue in recent years. This paper addresses the satisfaction level of local government public service, which is defined as a degree of the results or the impacts of the local government public service delivery on the citizen's needs, demands and expectations. The satisfaction level of local government public service can improve decisions made by local government managers, and enhance accountability of local government to the citizens they serve. This study focuses especially on the various aspects of administrative systems in a local government and developed a systematic survey for their performance. Explanations for the evaluation items and the analysis of survey are discussed throughout the paper.
