Purpose: This study investigated the legal issues and policies on accommodation sharing based on qualitative research and examined how OECD societies establish laws and regulations to legalize accommodation sharing and prevent adverse effects. The purpose of this study is to contribute to the understanding of the different laws and regulations at both the country and city levels and to help better manage accommodation sharing in our society. The ultimate goal of this study is to enhance citizen understanding of platform businesses to minimize unnecessary conflicts. Research design, data and methodology: This study conducted a qualitative research by exploring laws and regulations in OECD countries. This study performed comparative analysis of accommodation sharing business' legislation, legal definitions, and operational policies that citizens should necessarily understand for better usage. Results: Local ordinances and regulations developed differently based on the situations of local markets and communities, so they are established and improved at the city or country level. Conclusions: Each government should consider preparing better policy on accommodation sharing by considering how to secure the housing market for residents with better establishment of new platform businesses and relationships with citizens. This study suggests policy reactions to government as policymakers, guests, hosts, platforms, and communities.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate factors that affect overall attitudes on accommodations sharing platform businesses and effects of overall attitudes on sustainability of accommodation sharing platform and contribution to the tourism industry with the perspectives of millennials and generation Z. Research design, data and methodology: This study conducted an online survey. This study applied factor, ANOVA, and regression analysis to test hypotheses. Results: The results found that factors including economic, trust, environment, local market facilitation, and the quality of residents' life affect overall attitudes toward accommodation sharing, while social and experience aspects do now show significance on overall attitudes. Effects of overall attitudes on sustainability of the accommodation sharing platform and contribution to the tourism industry showed significance. Conclusions: The results provide managerial and policy implications. The results implied how millennials and generation Z perceive significant factors such as local market facilitation for economic benefits and environment aspects with usage of accommodation sharing support characteristics of millennials and generation Z. How to foster social aspects to interact with millennials and generation Z and experience aspects to enhance values of the accommodation sharing that shares experiences remained future issues for better development of sharing platform businesses.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to address policy preparation and amendments on regulations in accommodation sharing for resource distribution by fostering better adjustment in a society, since previous studies are rarely investigated in those issues. After conduct exploratory research about laws and regulations of accommodation sharing, this study investigates how effective policy instruments improve trust in accommodation sharing and potential growth by investigating the perceptions of individuals and by applying policymaking procedures. Research design, data and methodology: The data is collected via online survey. Structural equation modeling with confirmatory factor analysis and non-recursive model with multiple regression analysis were applied. Results: The results of this study found that among proposed policy instruments, individuals perceive local ordinances, government publicizing and campaign, trust marks, taxation, penalties, and government controls are effective to build trust in accommodation sharing. Policies geared toward the majority of the public are more effective, while governments should establish a strategic approach as to which policies are introduced in public and which role the government plays in the departments. Conclusions: The results provide policy and managerial implications how to enhance distributional values of accommodation sharing economy with proper preparations and amendments of laws and regulations.

본 연구에서는 최근 사회적으로 논의되고 있는 쟁점 중 하나인 공유경제서비스가 지역 관광지 내 공유경제네트워크 구축 과정에서 어떤 방식으로 정착될 수 있을지에 대해서 탐색적 수준에서 분석했다. 일반 소비자들을 대상으로 조사하여 분석한 결과, 숙박 및 차량 기반 공유경제서비스에 대해서 호의적인 태도는 지역공유경제서비스의 네트워크 및 지역 주민교육의 필요성, 지역경제활성화에 대한 신념에 직접적으로 영향을 주지 않고, 소비자 스스로의 공유경제서비스에 대한 지식, 정보 학습의 열망이 매개되어 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 이 같은 분석결과를 통해 지역의 관광자원개발 과정에서 구축될 수 있는 공유경제서비스 활성화는 지역사회, 지역주민들의 노력만으로 이루어질 수 없으며, 소비자의 공유경제에 대한 정보 및 지식의 학습이 함께 구현되어야만 지역관광지 활성화로 이어질 수 있음을 알 수 있었다. 이제 지역사회의 공유경제 네트워크를 통한 관광지 및 관광자원 개발은 소비자와 지역주민의 상호작용을 통한 긴밀한 의사소통을 통해 추진되어야 할 것이다.

본 연구는 개천예술제의 경제적 가치를 추정하였다. 추정방법은 Pearse(1972)가 제안한 여행비용차이추정법(TCM)을 새로운 가중치를 도입한 개선된 여행비용차이추정법을 활용하였다. 본 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위한 설문조사는 제63회 개천예술제 방문객 497명을 대상으로 하였다. 축제 방문객의 지출비용을 토대로 축제의 가치를 추정한 결과, 개천예술제의 총 가치는 약 2,270억 5,700여만 원으로 평가되었다. 분석결과, 개천예술제의 경제적 가치에 영향을 미치는 여행비용 항목은 교통비, 식 음료비, 쇼핑비, 숙박비, 유흥비, 입장료 순으로 나타났다. 외부 방문객비율이 높아 교통비(41%)항목이 가장 큰 영향을 미친 것으로 분석되었으나, 숙박비나 입장료로 인한 방문객잉여에 의한 영향은 미미하게 나타났다. 숙박비나 쇼핑비, 유흥비 및 입장료는 지역경제에 직접적인 영향을 미치므로 축제를 기획하는 주최측은 숙박관광을 유도하기 위한 유익하고 의미 있는 연계프로그램의 개발과 지역특산물을 이용한 다양한 쇼핑상품의 개발이 필요하다. 본 연구에서 제시한 개선된 여행비용차이추정법을 이용하여 각 지역축제의 경제적 가치를 측정한다면 다소간 축제의 성격에 차이가 있더라도 보다 객관적이고 명확한 축제간의 비교가 가능하여 지역축제의 발전과 지역경제활성화에 기여할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

This study analyzed tourists' intention at Gangcheon Mountain, Sunchang-gun for local tourism. The contents of study included impression, characteristics, specialized resources, development direction, intention of visit and its form, destination prior and post visit, travelling expenses, and development form of tourism. The results were as following. Impression and characteristics showed that gochujang and fermentation industry established a strategic ground of local development. Intention of revisit of tourists was relatively high by 97.1%. Furthermore, tourists were mainly family units and they preferred family-based recreational type for the future local tourism development form. Therefore, a development strategy will be required that involves inexpensive accommodation, unique local food items, agricultural-specialty products and local tour packages. For invigoration of local tourism, recruitment of skilled managers for farm village experience will be necessary as well.

This study attempted to estimate the amount of expenditure per capita of visitors to the Mongsanpo fishing village tourism festival, and quantitatively measure how much the festival contributes to the local and national economy through input-output model. The analysis data used 302 questionnaires, excluding missing questionnaires, surveyed on festival visitors from April 21 to May 7, 2018, during the 9th Mongsanpo port webfoot octopus and seafood festival. The main results of this study can be summarized as follows. First, analyzing the average expenditure per person of festival visitors, it shows that the average one-person festival visitor consumes KRW 129,519: entertainment costs KRW 5,672 (4.4%), accommodation costs KRW 16,860 (13.0%), food costs KRW 74,791 (57.7%), transportation costs KRW 21,646 (16.7%), shopping costs KRW 6,788 (5.2%), and other costs KRW 3,762 (2.9%). Among the expenditures of festival visitors, the proportion of food expenses was the highest, and transportation costs and accommodation costs were in order. Second, based on the actual expenses spent by visitors at the fishing village tourism festival, the direct economic effect of the Mongsanpo fishing village festival was estimated be approximately KRW 14.8 billion. Third, as a direct and indirect economic impact effect of the Mongsanpo fishing village tourism festival in 2018, the amount of production induced in the local and national economies was estimated at KRW 33.3 billion, and the amount of value-added inducement was estimated at 11.3 billion won, and employment inducement reached 272 people, which is considered to contribute greatly to the national economy. This study quantitatively analyzes and provides the extent to which the fishing village tourism festival using local specialized fisheries directly or indirectly contribute to the local and national economy. Thus, it is expected to serve as useful information by providing basic information on business feasibility required for budgeting for local fishing tourism festivals.

This paper resents a discrete-time model of an edge-following with accommodation force control. Since an irregular workpiece shape causes disturbances to the system while following an edge, the use of preview control is proposed to improve the system performance. The preview control employs future information of the workpiece contour shape, and it can be developed by LQ-optimal control principles. This study provides a general method how to utilize the local future information obtained by the finite preview to minimize an optimality criterion evaluated over a problem duration. The force controller is designed based on the preview control scheme, and then implemented on a VME-based computer. Experimental results using an industrial robot show that the preview control system achieves faster tracking speed and better force regulation than the conventional nonpreview control system.

In recent years, over 100 trails were created in Korea, and Jeju Olle and Jiri Mt. Doolle trail are the most familiar and successful trails in Korea. The research aimed to find relationship between fair tourism and long distance trails. In the first step, we investigated the concept of fair tourism, and deducted 8 key-words; 1)local participation 2)resource sharing 3)provision of unique social, cultural resources 4)sovereignty of local culture 5)small_scale, low impact, eco-friendly 6)sustainable infrastructure 7)revitalize local community 8)comprehensive accommodation of a diverse tourists. Through the analysis of 3 representative sites of long distance trails, we tried to find out the distinct characteristics of fair tourism of the selected sites with evaluating criteria that was provided by UNEP and related organizations. The finding of the study could contribute to defining concept of fair tourism, and by doing so, attribute in setting up a framework of designing and planning of long distance trail under the concept of fair tourism that diverse parties could co-benefit, including local community, local government and tourists.

As the volatility increasement of the number of tourist, there was been controversy over supply-demand imbalance in hotel market. The purpose of this study is to analysis on determinants of hotel occupancy rate in Jeju Island. The quantitative method is based on cointegrating regression, using an empirical dataset with hotel from 2000 to 2017. The primary results of research is briefly summarized as follows; First, there are high relationship between total hotel occupancy rate and hotel occupancy of foreign tourist. The volatility of hotel occupancy is caused by foreigner user than local tourists though local tourist high propotion of hotel occupancy in Jeju Island. Second, hotel occupancy of local tourist has not relationship with demand and supply variables. Because some hotel users are not local tourists but local resident, and effects to other variables of hotel consumer trend, accommodation such as Guest house, Airbnb. Third, there are high relationship between foreign hotel occupancy rate and demand-supply variables. These research imply that total management of supply-demand is very important to seek stability of hotel occupancy rate in Jeju Island. Also it can provide a useful solution regarding mismatch problem between supply-demand as well as development the systematic forecasting model for hotel market participants.
