The objective of this study was to investigate the different dietary ratios of n-6 to n-3 (n-6/n-3) fatty acid (FA) on performance and n-6/n-3 FA in muscles of broiler chickens. A total of 300 one-day-old Cobb chicks were randomly assigned to 3 treatments of 10 replicates in each (10 birds/replicate). Birds were fed on a corn-soybean meal-based diet containing 1% oil during starter (day 1 to 21) and 2% oil during finisher (day 22 to 39) phases, respectively. Treatments of high, medium and low dietary n-6/n-3 FA were formulated by replacing rice bran oil with linseed oil to achieve n-6/n-3 FA close to >20:1, 10:1 and 5:1, respectively. Average daily gain, average daily feed intake, and feed conversion ratio were similar (p>0.05) among the treatments. Serum glucose, cholesterol and triglycerides concentrations were not affected (p>0.05) by dietary treatments. In breast, concentration of C18:3n-3 was significantly greater (p = 0.001) for medium and low vs high n-6/n-3 FA, while concentrations of C20:5n-3, C22:6n-3, total n-3 FA, and n-6/n-3 FA were significantly higher for low vs medium, and medium vs high dietary n-6/n-3 FA. In contrast, concentrations of C18:2 and mono-unsaturated FA (MUFA) were lower for low vs high dietary n-6/n-3 FA. In thigh muscles, concentrations of C20:5n-3 were higher (p<0.05) for medium and low vs high dietary n-6/n-3 FA, and concentrations of C18:3n-3, C22:6, and n-3 FA were greater (p<0.05) for medium vs high, low vs medium dietary n-6/n-3 FA. However, concentrations of C18:1, MUFA, n-6/n-3 were lower (p<0.05) for low and medium vs high dietary n-6/n-3 FA. In conclusion, lowering the dietary n-6/n-3 FA did not affect the performance of chickens, but enhanced beneficial long-chain n-3 FA and decreased n-6/n-3 FA in chicken breast and thigh, which could be advantageous for obtaining healthy chicken products.

Plants as well as crops are damaged by a combination of the hot and dry winds that has been a major factor in the reduction of crop production. A means to protect them from damaging conditions is to consider a coating material. In this study, we established laboratory screening methods to find a coating material to protect a crop from rapid transpiration caused by various factors. In a test measuring the weight loss of kidney bean seedlings for 6 days, Avion treatments decreased its weight loss (P=0.05). Owing to long-time spend in completing this assay, we performed a more simple method using a cobalt chloride paper strip, which changes from blue to red colors under water condition. Beewax, guagum, paraffin liquid, soybean oil, and PE-635 gave a waterproofing effect above 37 and 43% at 0.5 and 1 h after treatment, respectively. However, these tested materials did not show significant waterproofing results at 2 h. Although the methods produced reasonable results, a screening method to obtain more objective data is needed. An alternative is to use an instrument that can detect the transpiration of crop leaves. In a preliminary test using barley leaves, a portable photosynthesis system showed transpiration inhibition of 2% soybean oil and 10 times-diluted Avion under field conditions. In another test using the leaves of maize seedlings and apricot tree, 2% liquid paraffin and plant oils such as apricot oil, linseed oil, olive oil, and soybean oil showed significant transpiration inhibition (P=0.05). Especially, paraffin liquid and soybean oil selected from above tests gave good transpiration inhibitory effects against rice at 2%. In addition, the mixture of 2% soybean oil and a spreader showed more elevated inhibition results comparing with soybean oil or the spreader alone indicating that the spreader may be attributed to more uniform diffusion of the hydrophobic material onto the leaf surface of maize seedlings. The hydrophobic material coated physically the stomata and cuticle layers on leaf surfaces of rice. These hydrophobic materials screened in this study are expected to be used as plant coating materials.
As reviewed of developments of Korean earth architecture, earth-made buildings have been dwindled gradually since "the new community movement" and earth have been recognized as materials which are not so good to human health and in result, earth-related techniques have been also forgotten. However, recently the earth architecture has been more attracting back many attentions thanks to the people who are interested in health and wellbeing and the earth related techniques or skills got keenly required. The present study has investigated and reproduced earth finishing materials which are based on natural materials as basic stuffs to use them as the finishing materials of the modern earth architecture. For the test, the finishing materials have been divided roughly into sorts of pastes and oils. In case of applying finishing materials onto earth surfaces, the moisture permeability test was conducted to measure a water-absorbing speed, and at the case of using finishing materials for interior works moisture adsorption/desorption test was performed to verify the indoor humidity regulation ability, and further a test to check whether to be stained when contacted with the finishing materials, was conducted. If there is not any stain it might be recognized to be high quality of moisture adsorption/desorption and so seaweed pastes or starches might be used for paste finishing materials and for natural oils, beans are desirable in practical ways. As low-quantity of moisture adsorption materials, linseed oil is most desirable and also beaned water over75% are thought to be useful.
Growth of ten isolates of Catenaria anguillulae on linseed oil-cake agar medium was studied at 10, 13, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 44 and $46^{\circ}C$. The cardinal temperatures of these isolates were also determined. Observations clearly revealed that the isolates differed in their temperature requirements. Isolate GA was found to grow best at $40^{\circ}C$, whereas VF isolate showed best growth at 35 and $40^{\circ}C$. Isolates PA, KA, CHP, KO, MA and SWP grew best at $35^{\circ}C$. The other isolates(KP and MMT) showed their best growth at $30^{\circ}C$. Based on radial growth, isolates were categorized as fast growing, medium growing and slow growing. Studies on effect of different temperatures on pathogenicity was made using only three isolates: VF, KP and MA against Xiphinema basin. VF isolate caused maximum infection at $40^{\circ}C$, whereas KP and MA isolates caused maximum infection at $30^{\circ}C$. The morphology of sporangia varied with temperature in isolates producing elongate-elliptical or filamentous sporangia. In VF isolate the sporangia were largely iilamentous to elongate elliptical at $30^{\circ}C$. The width of the sporangia increased with increasing and decreasing temperatures. At $44^{\circ}C$ the sporangia of this isolate were mostly broadly elliptical or spherical. This clearly indicates that sporangia vary in morphology with temperature. From the morphometrical studies it was understood that sporangial morphology was more consistent and reliable for grouping of isolates. Based on the morphology of sporangia the isolates of C. anguillulae were characterized in three groups viz., Mamentouslelongate elliptical(VF, KA, GA and SWP), spherical(PA, KP, MA and MMT) and vertically elongate sporangia(CHP and KO).
Purpose : This study aimed to verify the surface hardness and water repellency of earth paint manufactured with earth, a natural material, and provide the results as basic data for paint made with natural materials. Method : After presenting the accurate manufacturing methods for basic materials for paint, the authors conducted and analyzed experiments to evaluate surface hardness and water repellency, fundamental performance indicators for paint, based on different mixture ratios. From the results of the experiment to assess the surface hardness of flour-based earth paint, we observed high surface hardness only after painting the specimen three times. Since potato starch-based earth paint has higher viscosity than its flour-based counterpart, the former did not paint well on the first occasion, resulting in low surface hardness. After painting two or more times, however, it was observed to have higher surface hardness than flour-based earth paint. Result : It was found that at least three iterations of painting was required to obtain high surface hardness of potato starch-based earth paint. Furthermore, the results of the water resistance experiment of earth paint suggest that the use of environment-friendly finishing materials coupled with boiled linseed oil will mitigate the drawbacks of earth paint. The experiment with one-year-old specimens also demonstrated similar water repellent characteristics, which indicates that the performance will improve once the paint has dried for a sufficient period of time.

Microcapsules were prepared by using a mixture of linseed oil and a small amount of fluorescent fluid as a core material. Self-healing protective coatings were prepared by applying coating formulations containing varying amounts of microcapsules on mortar surface. After scratch or crack was generated in the coating, when the damaged region was exposed to ultraviolet light (${\lambda}=365nm$), it was observed that fluorescence emission area increased with increasing microcapsule loading. In the cases of the self-healing coatings having 20wt% or more microcapsule loading, the damaged region was almost filled with the healing agent. In water sorptivity test, the self-healing coating having 20wt% or more microcapsule loading showed a healing efficiency of about 85%. The fluorescence emission from the damaged region was easily observed at a distance of 3 m. The self-healing protective coating is expected to be useful to confirm its self-healing function with the eye.

The present study was conducted to determine the effect of lipid sources with different fatty acid profiles on nutrient digestion and ruminal fermentation. Ten rumen and duodenal fistulated Nellore steers (268 body weight${\pm}27kg$) were distributed in a duplicated $5{\times}5$ Latin square. Dietary treatments were as follows: without fat (WF), palm oil (PO), linseed oil (LO), protected fat (PF; Lactoplus), and whole soybeans (WS). The roughage feed was corn silage (600 g/kg on a dry matter [DM] basis) plus concentrate (400 g/kg on a DM basis). The higher intake of DM and organic matter (OM) (p<0.001) was found in animals on the diet with PF and WF (around 4.38 and 4.20 kg/d, respectively). Treatments with PO and LO decreased by around 10% the total digestibility of DM and OM (p<0.05). The addition of LO decreased by around 22.3% the neutral detergent fiber digestibility (p = 0.047) compared with other diets. The higher microbial protein synthesis was found in animals on the diet with LO and WS (33 g N/kg OM apparently digested in the rumen; p = 0.040). The highest C18:0 and linolenic acid intakes occurred in animals fed LO (p<0.001), and the highest intake of oleic (p = 0.002) and C16 acids (p = 0.022) occurred with the diets with LO and PF. Diet with PF decreased biohydrogenation extent (p = 0.05) of C18:1 n9,c, C18:2 n6,c, and total unsaturated fatty acids (UFA; around 20%, 7%, and 13%, respectively). The diet with PF and WF increased the concentration of $NH_3-N$ (p<0.001); however, the diet did not change volatile fatty acids (p>0.05), such as the molar percentage of acetate, propionate, butyrate and the acetate:propionate ratio. Treatments PO, LO and with WS decreased by around 50% the concentration of protozoa (p<0.001). Diets with some type of protection (PF and WS) decreased the effects of lipid on ruminal fermentation and presented similar outflow of benefit UFA as LO.
The present study was conducted to evaluate dietary requirements for essential fatty acids (EFAs) such as linoleic acid (LA, l8:2n-6), -lenolenic acid (LNA, 18:3n-3), or docosahexaenoic acid (DHA, 22:6n-3), eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA, 20:5n-3) and arachidonic acid (ARA, 20:4n-6) in juvenile eel Anguilla japonica cultured in a recirculating system for 16 weeks. The experimental diets contained 50% crude protein, 10% crude lipid and 3800 kcal/kg energy.Brown fish meal and blood meal were used as the main protein sources, while coconut oil, com oil and linseed oil were used as the lipid source to yield target fatty acids ratios. At the end of the trial, the effects of essential fatty acids supplementation on weight gain (WG), specific growth rate (SGR), feeding efficiency (FE), proximate composition andwhole body fatty acids contents were examined. WG, SGR, and FEof eels fed diet D2, D3, was significantly higher (P<0.05) than those of fish fed the other diets. Whole body HUFA concentration of eels fed D 1 was significantly lower (P<0.05) than those fed the other diets. HUFA/SFA (saturated fatty acids) ratio of whole body in eels fed diets D2, D3 and D6 were significantly higher than that of eels fed diet D1 (P<0.05).DHA/EPA ratio of whole body in eels fed diet D7was significantly higher than those fed the other diets; and eels fed diet D5 showed the lowest DHA/EPA ratio among all the dietary treatments (P<0.05).Based on the experimental results, we concluded that LNA (n-3) and LA (n-6) were necessary for optimum growth of juvenile eel, and the dietary requirement of LNA and LA were 0.35∼0.5% and 0.5∼0.65%, respectively.
Linoleum is a resilient, hygienic, and eco-friendly floor covering. It was developed in England by Frederick Walton in 1863. Made of cork flour, linseed oil, and burlap as its main materials, the flexible and waterproof linoleum became globally popular in the early 20th century. Unlike the vinyl coverings, the burlap-backed linoleum was used not only in commercial spaces but also in household areas like kitchens, bathrooms, and even living rooms. As a global product, linoleum was imported and used in Korean palaces like Deoksugung and Changdeokgung in the early modern period. According to the record Deoksugung Won-Ahn, linoleum was applied to the major buildings, including Hamnyeongjeon, Deokhongjeon, and Jeonggwanheon, and various other venues. The linoleum used in these places are mainly monochrome blue and brown color, which probably means that they are from England. The trade records in the early 20th century show that linoleum was imported mainly from England and America. The Ewangjik building floor plan in the Changdeokgung Palace shows that linoleum was used extensively. There are even some originals, which were laid in 1920 and left in the Changdeokgung Palace. When Daejojeon and Huijeongdang were rebuilt in 1920, the interior was outfitted with western features and linoleum was used in areas such as bathrooms, the tonsorial parlor, and one of the rooms on the west side of Huijeongdang. In situ in the Daejojeon and Huijeongdang areas in the Changdeokgung Palace are monochrome, patterned black, and stylized floral tile patterned, which are closely similar to American products made by ALC and Armstrong company. This study will help us better understand linoleum's characteristics, its uses and the material itself. It will also form the basis for the restoration of Changdeokgung Palace as well as other modern interiors with linoleum flooring in the future.

제 6 장 손해배상 및 기타사항
제 18 조 (손해배상)
당 사이트는 무료로 제공되는 서비스와 관련하여 회원에게 어떠한 손해가 발생하더라도 당 사이트가 고의 또는 과실로 인한 손해발생을 제외하고는 이에 대하여 책임을 부담하지 아니합니다.
제 19 조 (관할 법원)
서비스 이용으로 발생한 분쟁에 대해 소송이 제기되는 경우 민사 소송법상의 관할 법원에 제기합니다.

1. (시행일) 이 약관은 2016년 9월 5일부터 적용되며, 종전 약관은 본 약관으로 대체되며, 개정된 약관의 적용일 이전 가입자도 개정된 약관의 적용을 받습니다.
