The importance of usability evaluation is increasing in developing a new system and product. The current approaches for usability evaluation are: the comparative evaluation to measure usability, and the iterative user interface design to find usability problems. This paper pressents three types of characteristics and a set of criteria for usability evaluation. The methodology for criteria-based quantitative analysis of user interface usability is investigated with a view to measuring usability. The fuzzy weighted-checklist method with linguistic variables is used for quantitatie analysis. This analysis provides a quantitative measure, which reflects the degree of excellence of user interface usability during the design and development phases.

An approach to quantitative evaluation of product usability during the design and implementation phases of the product life cycle is presented. The evaluation starts by defining a set of usability characteristics, viz. physical, cognitive and affective characteristic. Each of these characteristics is assessed by a set of usability criteria, such as functionality, visual clarity, learmability, etc. The usability criterion is then evaluated by a checklist consisting of a detailed questionnaire. The fuzzy weighted-checklist method with linguistic variables is used for quantitative analysis. Also, the method for quantifying usability improve- ments in iterative design processes is considered. This analysis procides a quantit- ative measure, which reflects the degree of excellence of product usability during the design and development phases.

The current software industry has an emerging issue with natural language-based requirement specifications. However, the accuracy of such requirement analysis remains a concern. It is noted that most errors still occur at the requirement specification stage. Defining and analyzing requirements based on natural language has become necessary. To address this issue, the linguistic theories of Chomsky and Fillmore are applied to the analysis of natural language-based requirements. This involves identifying the semantics of morphemes and nouns. Consequently, a mechanism was proposed for extracting object state designs and automatically generating code templates. Building on this mechanism, I suggest generating natural language-based comic images. Utilizing state diagrams, I apply changes to the states of comic characters (protagonists) and extract variations in their expressions. This introduces a novel approach to comic image generation. I anticipate highly productive comic creation by applying software processes to Cartoon ART.

과학 개념에 대한 이해를 언어학적 관점에서 바라보면 학생들이 과학 개념어에 대한 깊고 정교한 이해와 더불어 정확하게 사용할 수 있는 능력을 길러주는 것이 매우 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 지금까지 과학 교육에서 과학 개념어에 대한 생산적 지식 교육의 기틀이 잘 마련되어 있지 않음에 주목하고, 과학 개념을 구성하고 있는 단어들 사이의 관계를 생산적이고 효과적으로 교육할 수 있는 방안을 탐색함으로써 과학 개념어의 생산적 지식 교육의 기틀을 제공하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 첫째, 몇 가지의 계량 언어학적 텍스트 분석 방법을 이용하여 과학 교과서 텍스트로 부터 과학 개념을 구성하고 있는 단어들과 그들 사이의 관계를 추출하고, 둘째, 각 방법의 결과로 추출된 단어 관계의 의미를 정성적으로 살펴본 뒤, 셋째, 이를 이용하여 과학 개념어의 생산적 지식 향상에 도움을 줄 수 있는 쓰기 활동 방법을 제안해 보았다. 중학교 1학년 과학교과서 '힘과 운동' 단원 텍스트를 클러스터 분석, 공기 빈도 분석, 텍스트 네트워크 분석, 그리고 워드임베딩의 네 가지 계량 언어학적 분석 방법을 사용하여 분석해 보았다. 연구 결과 첫째, 클러스터 분석 결과를 활용하여 문장 완성하기 활동을 제안하였다. 둘째, 공기 빈도 분석 결과를 이용한 빈 칸 채우기 활동을 제안하였다. 셋째, 네트워크 분석 결과를 이용하여 소재 중심 글쓰기 활동을 제안하였다. 넷째, 워드임베딩을 이용한 학습 중요 단어 목록 작성을 제안하였다.

이 논문은 사전의 백과사전적 요소로서의 전문용어 기술을 불교 언어에 집중하여 살펴보았다. 불교 언어에 대한 선행 연구를 살펴보니 크게 언어 자체에 대한 철학적인 접근, 특정 승려의 언어관 탐색, 불교 언어에 대한 언어학적 고찰 등으로 나누어 볼 수 있다. 불교 언어에 대한 언어학적 고찰은 특정 불경을 분석한 연구와 불교 영역 전반에서 쓰이는 어휘에 대한 연구로 나뉘는데 기존 국어사전에서의 불교 어휘를 살펴보니 인명, 지명, 책명, 역사, 불교' 등의 전문 영역 분류에 걸쳐서 분포하였다. 전문용어의 일반어화가 진행된 경우 전문용어로서의 의미와 일반어로서의 의미를 각각 다의어로 기술하되 어느 것을 먼저 배열하느냐로 개별 어휘의 일반어화의 진행 정도를 확인할 수 있는데 불교 어휘의 경우 불교용어로만 쓰이는 단의어가 가장 많았고 일반어로서의 용법이 우선인 것, 불교용어로서의 용법이 우선인 것의 순으로 나타났으며 일반어로 기술되어 있으나 불교 용어에서 비롯된 어휘도 있었다. 한 사전 안에서 언어 단위에 따라 전문 영역 표지가 달라지는 경우, 사전별로 불교 전문용어 여부에 대한 판단이 다른 경우, 기존의 학술적인 연구 결과와 사전의 기술 내용이 상충되는 경우 등 섬세한 검증을 필요로 하는 사례는 향후 종교 전문가와 언어 전문가, 사전 전문가의 협업을 통해 해결해 나가야 할 것이다.

본 연구의 목적은 수학 문장제 해결에 기초가 되는 수학과 용어의 유형에 따른 한국어학습자의 이해 특성 및 오류유형을 파악하여 한국어학습자의 문장제 해결에 효과적인 교수·학습 지도 방안 마련을 위한 기초 자료를 제공하는 것이다. 이를 위해 학교에서 별도의 한국어 수업을 듣는 한국어학습자 4명을 대상으로 교육과정 등재 용어와 교과서에 사용된 교육과정 미등재(정의/무정의) 용어에 대한 구체적인 개념이미지를 분석하는 사례 연구를 하였다. 연구 결과 첫째, 한국어학습자가 수학과 용어에 대하여 적합한 개념정의를 정립할 수 있도록 충분한 시각화 자료를 활용하여 지도할 필요가 있다. 둘째, 한국어학습자의 가정 내 사용 언어와 수학과 용어에 대한 적합한 개념이미지 형성 사이의 구체적인 관계를 파악할 필요가 있다. 셋째, 능동형 용어보다 의미 이해에 어려움을 겪고 있는 피동형 용어에 주의하여 지도할 필요가 있다. 넷째, 일상의 의사소통에 어려움이 없는 한국어학습자의 경우에도 수학 교과서에 사용되는 교육과정 미등재 일상어에 대하여 지도할 필요가 있다. 다섯째, 용어에 대한 설명에서 나타난 한국어학습자의 언어적 특성이 반영된 오류 유형을 고려하여 수학과 용어를 지도해야 할 것이다. 이러한 인식은 언어적 배경이 다른 한국어학습자의 문장제 해결 지도에 도움이 될 것으로 기대된다.

우리는 본 연구에서 2015 개정 교육과정 초등학교 영어 교과서를 대상으로 다중지능의 유형을 반영하고 있는지 비교 분석하고자 한다. 분석 대상으로 초등학교 5학년 영어 교과서 중 3종을 선택하여 프로젝트 활동, 게임 활동, 문화 활동을 포함한 3가지 영역에서 다중지능 이론의 각 지능 유형이 어느 정도 반영하고 있는지를 분석하였다. 또한 출판사 별로 다중지능 영역의 반영 정도를 비교 분석하였다. 3종 교과서의 각각 활동 영역에 대한 다중지능 유형의 비중을 분석한 결과, 프로젝트 활동의 경우 언어적 지능, 대인 관계 지능, 공간적 지능을 높은 비중으로 반영하고 있었다. 게임활동은 언어적 지능, 대인 관계 지능, 공간적 지능, 신체 운동적 지능을 높은 비중으로 반영하고 있었다. 문화 활동은 언어적 지능과 공간적 지능이 높은 비중으로 반영하고 있었다. 우리는 본 연구의 결과를 바탕으로 교과서를 개발할 때 언어적, 공간적, 신체 운동적 지능과 같이 일부 지능 유형에 편중된 것 보다는 다양한 유형의 지능이 골고루 포함될 수 있도록 영어 교수 학습의 연구가 필요함을 제시하였다. 뿐만 아니라, 다양한 다중지능 요소를 반영할 수 있는 영어 교수 학습을 개발하여 교과서 활동을 제시할 필요가 있다.

본 연구에서는 도서관자료가 문장분석데이터인 코퍼스로 사용(복제)될 때 해당 자료의 구축과 활용이 저작권에 저촉되는지를 분석하였다. 이를 위해 코퍼스의 정의와 사용분야, 공정이용이 저작권과의 어떠한 관련이 있는지도 별도로 분석하였다. 특히, '인간의 읽기(내용)'보다는 '기계의 읽기(형태)'이라는 측면에서 디지털 데이터가 사용될 때 도서관 자료에 대한 기존의 저작권적인 해석의 문제점을 고찰하였다.

Automated system to analyze liver function test results is presented based on fuzzy logic knowledge. Clinician's knowledge and experience was first expressed in linguistic terms fol- lowed by conversion to numerical values to create membership functions of disease possibility for each test item and liver disease. Membership functions were then compensated for different relative importances of test items. Liver diseases considered were acute viral hepatitis (AVH), chronic persistent hepatitis(CPH), chronic active hepatitis(CAH), and liver cirrhosis(LC), Liver function test results of alanine aminotransferase(ALT), aspartate amino- transferase(AST) , glutamate dehydrogenase(GDH), ornithine carbamyltransferase(OCT) , ALT/AST, and 10* GDH/ALT in 218 patients were analyzed by the present system, welch resulted in 80% accuracy. AVH and CAH showed the highest 93 % and the lowest 58% ac- curacies, respectively, which was similar to the clinician's expectation. The simple mathemat- ical formulation of the present system would enable an easy implementation in commercial analysis instruments. Also, the identical fuzzy logic can be applied to similar diagnostic envi- ronments in general.

There are Two new models developed for objective evaluation of fabric color patterns by applying a multiple regression analysis and an adaptive foray-rule-based system. The physical features of fabric color patterns are extracted through digital image processing and the emotional features are collected based on the psychological experiments of Soen[3, 4]. The principle physical features are hue, saturation, intensity and the texture of color patterns. The emotional features arc represented thirteen pairs of adverse adjectives. The multiple regression analyses and the adaptive fuzzy system are used as a tool to analyze the relations between physical and emotional features. As a result, both of the proposed models show competent performance for the approximation and the similar linguistic interpretation to the Soen's psychological experiments.
