  • Existing methods for blind identification of linear block codes without a candidate set are mainly built on the Gauss elimination process. However, the fault tolerance will fall short when the intercepted bit error rate (BER) is too high. To address this issue, we apply the reverse algebra approach and propose a novel "two-step-screening" algorithm by solving the linear error equations on the binary Galois field, or GF(2). In the first step, a recursive matrix partition is implemented to solve the system linear error equations where the coefficient matrix is constructed by the full codewords which come from the intercepted noisy bitstream. This process is repeated to derive all those possible parity-checks. In the second step, a check matrix constructed by the intercepted codewords is applied to find the correct parity-checks out of all possible parity-checks solutions. This novel "two-step-screening" algorithm can be used in different codes like Hamming codes, BCH codes, LDPC codes, and quasi-cyclic LDPC codes. The simulation results have shown that it can highly improve the fault tolerance ability compared to the existing Gauss elimination process-based algorithms.

  • This paper is to develop the position error equations including the attitude errors, the errors of nadir and ship's heading, and the errors of ship's position in the free-gyro positioning and directional system. In doing so, the determination of ship's position by two free gyro vectors was discussed and the algorithmic design of the free-gyro positioning and directional system was introduced briefly. Next, the errors of transformation matrices of the gyro and body frames, i.e. attitude errors, were examined and the attitude equations were also derived. The perturbations of the errors of the nadir angle including ship's heading were investigated in each stage from the sensor of rate of motion of the spin axis to the nadir angle obtained. Finally, the perturbation error equations of ship's position used the nadir angles were derived in the form of a linear error model and the concept of FDOP was also suggested by using covariance of position error.

  • 2 (Langmuir, Freundlich, Elovich, Temkin, and Dubinin-Radushkevich) and 3 (Sips and Redlich-Peterson)-parameter isotherm models were applied to evaluated for the applicability of adsorption of Cu(II) and/or phosphate isotherm using chitosan bead. Non-linear and linear isotherm adsorption were also compared on each parameter with coefficient of determination (R2). Among 2-parameter isotherms, non-linear Langmuir and Freundlich isotherm showed relatively higher R2 and appropriate maximum uptake (qm) than other isotherm equation although linear Dubinin-Radushkevich obtained highest R2. 3-parameter isotherm model demonstrated more reasonable and accuracy results than 2-parmeter isotherm in both non-linear and linear due to the addition of one parameter. The linearization for all of isotherm equation did not increase the applicability of adsorption models when error experiment data was included.

  • We propose a statistical interpolation approximate solution for a nonlinear stochastic integral equation of a stock price process. The proposed method has the order O(h$^2$) of local error under the weaker conditions of $\mu$ and $\sigma$ than those of Milstein' scheme.

  • In the use of traditional autogressive linear equation, there are number of obvious limitations which may not be conventioanally neglected. This paper attempts to disclose some of them with respect to the assumptions made about error terms, conditions of convergence of the equation, prperties of estimators, etc.

  • We consider the estimation of the position and orientation of 6 DOF motion bed (Stewart platform) from the measured cylinder length. The solution of forward kinematics is not solved yet as a useful realtime application tool because of the complity of the equation with multiple solutiple solutions. Hence we suggest an algorithm for the estimation of forward kinematics solution using Luenberger observer withnonlinear error correction term. The Luenberger observer withlinear model shows that the estimation error does not go to zero in steadystate due to the linearization error of the dynamic model. Hence the linear observer is modified using nonlinear measurement error equation and we prove thd practical stability of the estimation error dynamics of the proposed observer using lyapunov function.

  • The error rate equation of DS-CDMA/DQPSK skgnal adopting ARQ scheme has been derived in indoor radio channel which is characterized by AWGN, multi-user interference (MUI) and Rician fading, Using the derived equation the error performance has been evaluated and shown in figures as a function of direct to diffuse signal power ratio(KS1rT), the number of active users (K), PN code sequence length (N), the number of parity bit of linear code (b), forward channel BER, and ES1bT/NS1OT. From the results it is known that in severe fading environments (KS1rT=6) the performance of DS-CDMA/DQPSK system is not reliable so it is needed to adopt techniques for improvement. When an ARQ scheme is adopted, as a method for improving error performance, the performance improves compared with that of non-ARQ scheme and the degree of improvement is proportional to the number of parity bits of linear code. As increasing the number of parity bits, system performance is improved vut system throughput efficiency must be considered. In severe fading channel Hybrid ARQ scheme is more effective than ARQ scheme. As a result, ARQ scheme is appropriate for the high-reliability data communication systems over the radio channel in which the real time processing is not required.

  • A new type of digital phase-locked loop (DPLL) that employs a multilevel quantified timing error detector (TED) is proposed and analyzed under the assumption of negligible quantizing effect and no noise. Since the timing error is quantized uniformly, the TED has a linear characteristic. From the linear characteristic of TED, a first order difference equation describing the behavior of the loop is derived. Using the system equation, the loop is analyzed mathematically for phase step and frequency step input. Desired locking condition for the loop to be locked and the lock range for the DPLL's to achieve exact locking independently of initial conditions are ob-tained. And these analyses are confirmed by timing error plane plots and computer simulation.

  • This paper presents a method of hierarchical state estimation of the time-varying linear systems via Block-pulse function(BPF). When we estimate the state of the systems where noise is considered, it is very difficult to obtain the solutions because minimum error variance matrix having a form of matrix nonlinear differential equations is included in the filter gain calculation. Therefore, hierarchical approach is adapted to transpose matrix nonlinear differential equations to a sum of low order state space equation from and Block-pulse functions are used for solving each low order state space equation in the form of simple and recursive algebraic equation. We believe that presented methods are very attractive nd proper for state estimation of time-varying linear systems on account of its simplicity and computational convenience. • In this study, a numerical method deals with the Chebyshev wavelet collocation and Adomian decomposition methods are proposed for solving Korteweg-de Vries equation. Integration of the Chebyshev wavelets operational matrices is derived. This problem is reduced to a system of non-linear algebraic equations by using their operational matrix. Thus, it becomes easier to solve KdV problem. The error estimation for the Chebyshev wavelet collocation method and ADM is investigated. The proposed method's validity and accuracy are demonstrated by numerical results. When the exact and approximate solutions are compared, for non-linear or linear partial differential equations, the Chebyshev wavelet collocation method is shown to be acceptable, efficient and accurate.
