  • Reliability means that a product maintains its initial quality and performance at certain period of time(time, distance, cycle etc) under given condition without failure. Given conditions include both environmental condition and operating condition. Environmental condition means common natural environment such as temperature, humidity, vibration, and working condition means artificial environment such as voltage, current load, install place, hours of use, which occurs during using the product. In the field of railway vehicles, although components of railway vehicles with reliability are the trend of mandatory as persisting period of railway vehicles is extended, using components of railway vehicles is insufficient for the practical reliability assessment. but the meaning of the first railway operating agency to acquire the parts in the field, the data suggest the reliability of products if you can and can show the reliability of modular units and modular units can provide the reliability of if you can present reliability of the entire system is thought to be here In this study, lifespan of micro-switch for master controller is analyzed and prediction is performed based on its field data considering the special circumstances of railway vehicles operating agency, such as a large number of trains operates on the same line.

Risk assessment of transmission line structures under severe thunderstorms

  • To assess the collapse risk of transmission line structures subject to natural hazards, it is important to identify what hazard may cause the structural collapse. In Australia and many other countries, a large proportion of failures of transmission line structures are caused by severe thunderstorms. Because the wind loads generated by thunderstorms are not only random but time-variant as well, a time-dependent structural reliability approach for the risk assessment of transmission line structures is essential. However, a lack of appropriate stochastic models for thunderstorm winds usually makes this kind of analysis impossible. The intention of the paper is to propose a stochastic model that could realistically and accurately simulate wind loading due to severe thunderstorms. With the proposed thunderstorm model, the collapse risk of transmission line structures under severe thunderstorms is assessed numerically based on the computed failure probability of the structure.

  • This paper addresses an on-line scheduling method for track systems in semiconductor fabrication. A track system is a clustered equipment performing photolithography process in semiconductor fabrication. Trends toward high automation and flexibility in the track systems accelerate the necessity of the intelligent controller that can guarantee reliability and optimize productivity of the track systems. This paper proposes an-efficient on-line scheduling method that can avoid deadlock inherent to track systems and optimize the productivity. We employ two procedures for the on-line scheduling. First, we define potential deadlock set to apply deadlock avoidance policy efficiently. After introducing the potential deadlock set, we propose a deadlock avoidance policy using an on-line Gantt chart, which can generate optimal near-optimal schedule without deadlock. The proposed on-line scheduling method is shown to be efficient in handling deadlock inherent to the track systems through simulation.

  • A realization for moving object detecting and tracking system in two dimensional plane using stereo line CCDs and lighting source is presented in this paper. Instead of processing camera images directly, two line CCD sensor and input line image is used to measure two dimensional distance by comparing the brightness on line CCDs. The algorithms are used the moving object tracking and coordinate converting method. To ensure the effective detection of moving path, a detection algorithm to evaluate the reliability of each measured distance is developed. The realized system results are that the performance of moving object recognizing shows 5mm resolution and mean error is 1.89%, and enables to track a moving path of object per 100ms period.

  • The harmonious lip length, residual scar and Cupid's bow width and peak with a normal side are the aims of a unilateral cleft lip repair. Also, long term amelioration without necessary of revisional surgeries may be the ideal conditions. No one method can satisfy the wide varieties of cleft lip deformities. Recently with rearrangement of paraoral muscle and some modifications, a straight line repair technique has been concerned again. Straight scar line, simplicity, and short learning curve are the advantages of the straight line technique. Here two cases of the simple straight line technique were presented and discussed for its usefulness and reliability with short reviews of previous reports.

  • Korea Railroad Research Institute (the following 'KRRI') built AGT test line in Gyeong San-city, Kyongsang-bukdo province, Korea on August, 2004. This test line is exclusively used for the test of the driverless rubber-tired AGT system, and applied with research result of AGT System Development Project like vehicles, power supply, control and signaling, track and infrastructure system. The test line is available for the test of rubber tired AGT system's performance, function, safety. In this paper, we described the operation system of test line for the test of performance, safety, reliability, and also system operation in emergency. Finally we present the operation result of test line.

2선 단락 사고 시 자속상쇄형 한류기의 동작 특성 (Characteristics Operation of a Flux-offset Type Fault Current Limiter in a Double line-to-line Fault)

  • In this paper was proposed a flux offset-type fault current limiter as means of reducing fault currents. To secure the operation reliability of a flux offset-type fault current limiter, constructed a simulation system to analyze its operation characteristics by generating a double line-to-line fault. According to the test results, the system performed stably without any impedance. However, when an accident occurred, the flux-offset of magnetic was not occurred. Because of this, any impedance occurred at circuit. It was confirmed that the impedance was low and fast to limit the fault current. At this time, the fault current limited rate was about 95%.

  • 소프트웨어 프로덕트라인 공학은 프로덕트 패밀리를 구성하는 프로덕트들의 공통성과 가변성을 분석하여 이를 바탕으로 프로덕트를 생산하는 방법이다. 소프트웨어 프로덕트라인 공학을 적용함에 있어 올바른 핵심자산을 구축하는 것이 매우 중요하며, 이를 달성하기 위해서는 공통성과 가변성의 명확한 구분, 추적성의 유지, 산출물의 신뢰성 보장 등이 선행되어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 공통성과 가변성의 명확한 구분을 위해 CVL 기반의 소프트웨어 프로덕트라인 개발 및 테스트 프로세스를 제안한다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 방법은 추적성의 유지와 산출물의 신뢰성 보장을 위한 추가적인 절차를 포함함으로써 올바른 핵심자산을 구축하도록 도와준다.

Optimal Buffer Allocation in Multi-Product Repairable Production Lines Based on Multi-State Reliability and Structural Complexity

  • In the design of production system, buffer capacity allocation is a major step. Through polymorphism analysis of production capacity and production capability, this paper investigates a buffer allocation optimization problem aiming at the multi-stage production line including unreliable machines, which is concerned with maximizing the system theoretical production rate and minimizing the system state entropy for a certain amount of buffers simultaneously. Stochastic process analysis is employed to establish Markov models for repairable modular machines. Considering the complex structure, an improved vector UGF (Universal Generating Function) technique and composition operators are introduced to construct the system model. Then the measures to assess the system's multi-state reliability and structural complexity are given. Based on system theoretical production rate and system state entropy, mathematical model for buffer capacity optimization is built and optimized by a specific genetic algorithm. The feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by an application of an engine head production line.

카메라영상에 의한 DGPS-GIS기반 차선변경 지원시스템의 평가 및 신뢰성 검증 (Assessment and Reliability Validation of Lane Departure Assistance System Based on DGPS-GIS Using Camera Vision)

  • This paper proposes a new assessment and reliability validation method of Lane Departure Assistance System based on DGPS-GIS by measuring lanes with camera vision. Assessment of lane departure is performed with yaw speed measurement and determination method for false alarm of ISO 17361 and performance validation is executed after generating departure warning boundary line by considering deviation error of LDAS using DGPS. Distance between the wheel and the lane is obtained through line abstraction using Hough transformation of the lane image with camera vision. Evaluation validation is obtained by comparing this value with the distance obtained with LDAS. The experimental result shows that the error of the extracted distance of the LDAS is within 5 cm. Also it proves performance of LDAS based on DGPS-GIS and assures effectiveness of the proposed validation method for system reliability using camera vision.
