LRF (Laser Range Finder) 거리와 반사도를 이용한 보행자 보호용 노면표시 검출기법 연구 (Pedestrian Safety Road Marking Detection Using LRF Range and Reflectivity)

  • In this paper, a detection method of a pedestrian safety road marking was proposed. The proposed algorithm uses laser range and reflectivity of a range finder (LRF). For a detection of crosswalk marking and stop line, the DFT (Discrete Fourier Transform) of reflectivity and cross-correlation method between the reference replica and the measured reflectivity are used. A speed bump is detected through measuring an altitude difference of two LRFs which have the different tilted angle. Furthermore, we proposed a velocity constrained a detection method of a speed bump. Finally, the proposed methods are tested in on-line, on the pavement of a road. The considered road markings are wholly detected. The localization errors of both road markings are smaller than 0.4 meter.

  • In this paper, we propose a web inspection system (WIS) for real-time detection of paper defects which can cause critical fractures during papermaking process. Our system incorporates high speed line-scan camera, lighting system, and detection algorithm to provide robust and precise detection of paper defects in real-time. Since edge defects are very crucial to the paper fractures, our system focuses on the edge region of the paper instead of inspecting the whole paper area. In our algorithm, image projection and sub-pixel operation are utilized to detect the edge defects precisely and connected component labeling and shape analysis techniques are adopted to extract various kinds of the region defects. Experimental results revealed that our web inspection system is very efficient for detecting paper defects during papermaking processes.

  • Advanced persistent threats (APTs) are constant attacks of specific targets by hackers using intelligent methods. All current internal infrastructures are constantly subject to APT attacks created by external and unknown malware. Therefore, information security officers require a framework that can assess whether information security systems are capable of detecting and blocking APT attacks. Furthermore, an on-line evaluation of information security systems is required to cope with various malicious code attacks. A regular evaluation of the information security system is thus essential. In this paper, we propose a dynamic updated evaluation framework to improve the detection rate of internal information systems for malware that is unknown to most (over 60 %) existing static information security system evaluation methodologies using non-updated unknown malware.

손사보 악보의 광학음악인식을 위한 CNN 기반의 보표 및 마디 인식 (Staff-line and Measure Detection using a Convolutional Neural Network for Handwritten Optical Music Recognition)

  • With the development of computer music notation programs, when drawing sheet music, it is often drawn using a computer. However, there are still many use of hand-written notations for educational purposes or to quickly draw sheet music such as listening and dictating. In previous studies, OMR focused on recognizing the printed music sheet made by music notation program. the result of handwritten OMR with camera is poor because different people have different writing methods, and lens distortion. In this study, as a pre-processing process for recognizing handwritten music sheet, we propose a method for recognizing a staff using linear regression and a method for recognizing a bar using CNN. F1 scores of staff recognition and barline detection are 99.09% and 95.48%, respectively. This methodologies are expected to contribute to improving the accuracy of handwriting.

  • 교통카드자료에서 철도이용승객이동은 단말기ID 순서로 나타난다. 최초 단말기ID는 진입역사 Tag-In노선, 최종 단말기ID는 진출역사 Tag-Out노선, 중간 단말기ID는 환승역사 Tag노선정보를 각각 포함한다. 과거 3개 공사기관(서울교통공사, 인천교통공사, 한국철도공사)만 참여하던 수도권도시철도는 최초 및 최종 단말기ID로 표현된 OD만 존재했다. 최근 (주)신분당선, (주)우이-신설경전철 등 민자기관진입으로 진입환승노선 단말기ID와 진출환승노선 단말기ID가 포함된 Chain OD가 보편화되었다. Chain OD를 통한 정확한 경로구축과정은 수도권철도운송기관의 수입금배분의 기초자료로서 매우 중요한 위치를 차지하고 있다. 따라서 지하철네트워크에서 경로탐색은 Chain OD에 대한 최적경로탐색의 문제로 전환되어 새로운 해법이 요구된다. 본 연구는 철도네트워크에서 단말기 Chain OD의 최초 단말기ID와 최종 단말기ID 간의 최적경로탐색기법을 제안하는 것이다. 이때 Chain OD에 민자노선환승 TagIn/Out를 반영하여 최적경로를 탐색하는 방안을 강구한다. 이를 위해 링크표지로 구축된 3가지 경로탐색기법( 1) 노드 - 링크, 2) 링크 -링크, 3) 링크 -노드 )을 순차적으로 적용하는 방안을 제안한다. 가산성경로비용을 토대로 제안된 기법이 최적조건을 만족함을 증명한다.

윤곽선의 선분 근사화를 활용한 양팔 화가 로봇의 개발 (Development of a Dual-Arm Drawing Robot using Line Segment Approximation of Image Edges)

  • This paper introduces a dual-arm robot painter system which is capable of sketching a camera-captured image with short line segments. To express various curved edges in the image by combining line segments, we first apply edge detection algorithm to the entire image, split the edged image into small boxed pieces, and then apply Hough Transformation to each piece so that the edges inside the piece can be approximated with short line segments. To draw the picture within a reasonable time, we designed a simple dual-arm robot system and controlled both arms concurrently according to linear interpolation algorithm. From the experiments, we could verify that simple linear motions can describe various images effectively with a unique brush style.

  • A new method for on-line induction motor fault detection is presented in this paper. This system utilizes unsupervised-learning clustering algorithm, the Dignet, proposed by Thomopoulos etc., to learn the spectral characteristics of a good motor operating on-line. After a sufficient training period, the Dignet signals one-phase ground fault, or a potential failure condition when a new cluster is formed and persists for some time. Since a fault condition is found by comparison to a prior condition of the machine, on-line failure prediction is possible with this system without requiring information on the motor of load characteristics.

  • In this paper, a technique is described for classifying normal cases and abnormal cases in automatic spinal deformity detection by computer based on moire topographic images of human backs. Displacement is evaluated statistically between the middle line extracted from the entire moire image and the middle line obtained from a small rectangle area defined on the moire image. The middle line is calculated employing a developed potential symmetry analysis technique. The displacement is calculated in several regions and the mean and the standard deviation of the displacement values are chosen as two features. 확대 Hamming 부호를 이용한 오류제어선로부호 (An Error Control Line Code Based on an Extended Hamming Code)

  • 본 논문에서는 확대 Hamming 부호를 이용한 새로운 오류제어선로부호를 제안하고 그 성능을 분석한다. 제안된 부호는 최소 Hamming 거리가 4이므로 기본적으로 한개의 오류를 정정할 수 있고 두개의 오류를 검출한 수 있다. 또한 선로부호에 사용되는 여분의 비트를 이용하여 오류검출 능력을 증가시킬 수 있다. 결과적으로 제안된 부호는 Hamming (7.4) 부호를 이용한 기존의 오류정정선로부호에 비해 부호율은 다소 떨어지나 저주파대역에서의 스펙트럼 특성이 더 우수하며 더 적은 복호비트오율을 가진다.

On-line SPE-HPLC Method using Alumina Filtering to Selectively Extract Phenolic Compounds from Environmental Water

  • A on-line SPE (solid phase extraction)-HPLC preconcentration method was developed for the determination of phenolic compounds at trace levels in environmental water sample. XAD-4 and Dowex 1-X8 were used as sorbent in the on-line SPE-HPLC method for the selective enrichment of nine phenolic compounds, which are included in the priority pollutants list of the US EPA. Also alumina prefiltering considerably reduced the amount of interfering peaks due to humic substances that could accumulated due to the preconcentration step and prevent quantification of polar phenolic compounds in environmental water samples. This method was used to determine the phenolic compounds in tap and river water and superiority to the US EPA 625 method in its enrichment factor, pretreatment time, recoveries, and detection limit. The limits of detection were in the range of $0.3-0.9\;{\mu}g/L$ in tap water sample.
