  • This study was performed to evaluate contamination degree of heavy metals in sediments of Han River, compared with other nation's evaluation method. The results were as follows 1. The contamination Ratio calculation method by heavy metal concentration in differnt fraction size has a limitation to apply to all of the areas of Han river because of its characteristics of sediment. As a result, this method applied to only 4 areas of Pal Dang, Wang Sook Chon, Uk Chon, and Bul Kwang Chon, and Contmination Ratio of heavy metals in those areas were relatively low of below 3. So it's considered that those areas have less contaminated from anthropogenic contaminants. 2. The Contamination Ratio calculation method by heavy metal concentration in different areasthat of upper area to be background level-has a limitation also to apply to Han river. But it is considered that this method was relatively suitable to apply, so it should be prepared evaluation standand method for them. Contamination ratio from background level as Pal Dang area were most high in An Yang Chon. So it must be prepared purification and control measure at An Yang Chon.

  • In this study, analysis is made for the effects of groove shape on the thermal performance of a axial groove heat pipe. The mathematical models of two-phase flow in grooved heat pipe are presented for the capillary limitation in steady state. Generally, the heat pipe performance depends on the capillary pressure and liquid flow. The friction force of liquid flow through the groove increases with the groove width decreased, and then the capillary pressure is improved in the gas-liquid interface of groove. Therefore, the optimal groove width shaper exists for the maximum thermal performance of heat pipe. In this paper, the optimal groove shape and scale are presented by considering both capillary pressure and liquid flow.

  • The Dielectric Barrier micro-hollow cathode structure and it's upper pD limitation are investigated for determining of optimum hollow cathode discharge condition. In experiment, discharge is sustained by AC diriving and investigated gas is pure Xe. From Experiment, Optimum pD range is lower than 0.72 torr.cm at pure Xe and Cu cathode.

  • This paper proposed the EGBOM, Extended Generic BOM, which is more flexible BOM system than GBOM. The GBOM system has the limitation to construct Result BOM and to select options by choosing only one Variant under given Cluster. In order to overcome this limitation, we propose the EGBOM which can make more various Result EGBOM, which can use to rolling stock through constructing urban transit BOM using the proposed EGBOM. The last, this paper describes the various Result BOM examples constructed from Source BOM of UT_EGBOM, such as rolling-stock maintenance BOM, individual car BOM, etc.

  • In order to evaluate the outcome of conservative treatment for acute or chronic closed lock, 127 patients were subjected at the Dept. of Oral Medicine, PNUH, from 1991. All the symptoms were analyzed and the results according to treatment modalities were compared before and after treatment. 1. Closed lock patients were more often seen in women of twenty and thirty. 2. The most common reasons for treatment were functional pain, limitation of mouth opening, restricted laterotrusion to non-effected side, deflection on opening but, on the contrary, noise was the least. 3. Most of closed lock patients were curedin six months. 4. Conservative treatment including stabilization splint produced better results. 5. Functional pain and limitation of mouth opening were relieved and maximumm comfortable opening was expanded, but joint noise decreased in the chronic and increased in the acute.

  • No one would deny that, despite the fact that they are the central factor in any given communication system, language signals have their limitations. For example, language cannot keep up with the radical changes that occur in the world and its ideas. The present meaning of a language signal is always pegged to the past when it was originally created. This limitation in turn puts limitations on the way we conceive of the world, and we have no choice but to watch the world through the refracted, darkly colored lens called language. Lee Sang′s was well aware of these limitations, and his works reflect his suspicion of language. This paper argues that Lee Sang′s "Ogamdo 1" is a poetic commentary on the ambiguity of language signals; that "Ogamdo 2" is an accusation of the stationary nature of language signals; ; and, finally, that "Sune-kwanhan-gakseo (Treatise on Lines) 7" is a poetic expression of Lee Sang′s negative view of the symbolic limitation of, and the fragmentary nature of, language signals.

  • Purpose : To provide a convenient framework for PNF practice, we reviewed the relationship between ICF framework and PNF framework. Methods : We reviewed literatures related with ICF and PNF. Results : ICF model is useful tool for physical therapist who is working in PNF to identify the interactions the components of individual's health, especially the relationship between functioning and disability. A framework for PNF is philosophy which included the concept, functional approach. It is essential to identify primary activity limitation and causal impairment in PNF field and evaluate the their relationship. The ICF model can be used to classify the examination information. Next step is to prioritize the activity limitation and then evaluate the interrelationships among each components of the ICF framework. Conclusions : ICF model guides physical therapist in PNF practice to identify patient problems and evaluate the interrelationship of components of their health. This model is logical framework to directs functional approach as PNF philosophy to be approached the goal.

  • In batch cultures of Lactobacillus delbrueckii, cell growth and lactic acid production were affected by two main factors, inhibition by lactic acid and limitation by nutritional components. In order to increase th productivity significantly, a continuous stirred tank reactor with cell recycle was employed. A cell desnity of 145g dry weight/l and a volumetric productivity of 73 g/l$\cdot $h were obtained with an effluent concentration of 85 g/l lactic acid. The productivity achieved by this system was 23-fold higher than those obtained by the corresponding batch cultivations. Once the lactic acid concentration reached the steady steady state, lowering the yeast extract concentration caused the reduction of the lactic acid concentration without affection the biomass concentration. Finally, the formation of D-lactate was investgated. During the various cultures, a small amount of D-lactate always formed, even thought a majority of lactate was L-isomer, It was supposed that the relative amount of the D-lactate was affected by glucose limitation, and there seems to exist a certain relationship between the concentration of D-lactate and acetate.

  • In order to utilize different nitrogen sources and to survive in a situation of nitrogen limitation, microorganisms have developed sophisticated mechanisms to adapt their metabolism to a changing nitrogen supply. In this communication, the recent knowledge of nitrogen regulation in the amino acid producer Corynebacterium glutamicum is summarized. The core adaptations of C. glutamicum to nitrogen limitation on the level of transcription are controlled by the global regulator AmtR. Further components of the signal pathway are GlnK, a $P_{II}-type$ signal transduction protein, and GlnD. Mechanisms involved in nitrogen control in C. glutamicum regulating gene expression and protein activity are repression of transcription, protein-complex formation, protein modification by adenylylation, change of intracellular localization, and proteolysis.
