The aesthetic attitude, in general or in particular, represented in matters of taste through aesthetic ideas and value judgments postulates a certain literary logic. And this literary logic reveals itself a sense of morality, philosophy, or moral aesthetic consciousness through the moments of act and thought demonstrated in the characters invented in literary works. Henry James, among many others, offers a very special cultural paradigm for transnational argument because of his diverse ways of shaping transatlantic relations in terms of aesthetic consciousness. And this international paradigm produced varied expressions referring to Henry James as "an American expatriate," "an Anglicized American artist," "a Europeanized aesthete," "a cosmopolitan intelligence," "a bohemian cosmopolitan" to designate his literary career and its characteristics shaped in Europe. Such expressions resonate with Transatlantic Sketches, James's first collection on travel and cultures in 1875 which heralded his long "expatriation" in terms of self-distantiation. James's temperament of mind, far from being always identified with shared values within an ideological framework, never avoided friction with fixed ideas but rather absorbed it fully for another friction which intervenes in his house of fiction. My question arises here regarding his cultural belonging or dislocation: where is the place of his mind or what could be his ultimate destination? In this essay, I'd like to define a place or rather the place of James's literary mind by proving a certain "sympathetic justice" for his literary logic. For this purpose, I'll try to examine: how James used transatlantic perspective, a spatio-temporal assessment to formulate his moral aesthetic consciousness; and how the aesthetic framework functions in assessing his literary logic of aesthetic consciousness. To start with the first argument, I'll analyze some essential aspects of aesthetic attitude of his characters to postulate a persona capable of theorizing James's aestheticism conditioned by the transatlantic context. And for the second argument, I'll examine how the persona functions in formulating a proper cultural stance of James's aesthetic consciousness in transatlantic perspective to illuminate the way of how Jamesian individuality reflects the American mind. This process of theorizing a place of James's own will lead, I hope, to our discovering James's ultimate destination on the assumption that it'll prove or create a certain "sympathetic justice" for his humanist aestheticism, a Jamesian absolute morality.

The numbers of synthetic greases have been developed with synthetic oils because of their excellent performance factors including thermal/oxidation stability, low-temperature fluidity and plastic compatibility. Long life under high-temperature condition and excellent low-temperature fluidity are required to serve as grease for bearings of engine room electrical component. As many plastics are used in place of metals for the purpose of weight saving, synthetic hydrocarbon grease is in use to avoid adverse effect on plastics. Other various special synthetic greases are also in use depending on specific requirements like conductivity and vacuum condition.

This paper describes how to ensure safety of train by guaranteeing stable and continuous communication in RF-CBTC. CBTC System uses the wireless communication between onboard and wayside so that safety of wireless communication is the most important. Losing the position of train causes vital problem of train service. By losing the position of train, the other trains are blocked in the block and the train move by emergency mode so headway and safety cannot guaranteed. Therefore, safety is ensured by redundancy of wireless equipment. One of the ways to make redundancy is redundancy of equipment. However, the redundancy of equipment spends a lot of money to avoid interference in limited place like underground. Continuous communication is guaranteed by means of redundancy of wireless communication coverage to solve the problems even though one of the equipment is broken.

To install heavy structures in the railway bridges, crane methods or launching methods using temporary structure have been applied. These methods are uneconomical because working yard is required, temporary cut of rail system, etc. In this study, various construction methods has been developed which are suitable to the filed conditions. In the case of simple span structure like plate girder bridges, the girder is loaded to troy system at the working yard and then transferred to the working place. To lift and lower the girder system, a new transfer system was developed. Different methods each for simple span bridge girder and long span girder were developed and detailed work procedures were proposed. Using these methods, the heavy structures can be installed with simple and safe work procedures and the construction cost and duration can be reduced.

BiSrCaCuO thin films were fabricated by atomic layer-by-layer deposition using an ion beam sputtering method. 10 wt% and 90 wt% ozone mixed with oxygen were used with ultraviolet light irradiation to assist oxidation. At early stages of the atomic layer by layer deposition, two dimensional epitaxial growth which covers the substrate surface would be suppressed by the stress and strain caused by the lattice misfit, then three dimensional growth takes place. Since Cu element is the most difficult to oxidize, only Sr and Bi react with each other predominantly, and forms a buffer layer on the substrate in an amorphous-like structure, which is changed to $SrBi_2O_4$ by in-situ anneal.

In 1997, Yongsan-gu Office of Seoul held a design competition for 'Hyochang Park as a holy Grounds'. Although various shrines and monuments were located in it, Hyochang Park had lost its sense of pace as a 'holy grounds' mostly by its neighborhood-park-like atmosphere at its entrance area. Specific requirement for this competition was designing a 'symbolic object' to make this park more 'holy grounds' looking. However, it was very regretable that Yongsan-gu Office did emphasized on the 'object' rather than on the space or place in this design competition. Three points were emphasized in the winning scheme proposed by the author: where the object be located in the park, how the object be connected with the rest of the park, and how the object harmonized with some of traditional looking architectures and shrines. The purpose of this paper is to articulate the concept of the winning entry in detail and to describe how the concept actualized in reality.

Dosan Sedans was built in 1560, when Toege I Whang(1500-1571) was 60, as a place in which to study and teach disciples. The building was built to a humble 3-kan system which was a popular form of sodang in the 16th century, There found an enlargement of space by attaching outer walls around three sides which was designed by Toege himself. Minimum in space, moderation in form, conrol of embellishment, hermit scholar's aethetics became basic concept of the architecture of Dosan Sodang. After completion of sodang, Toege wrote many poems about pond, walls, flower bed and natural surroundings like sheer cliff, winding river and even rural daily life of villagers around the building. It could be sud that ,for Toege, architecture was cogniged as a whole complex of building and its surrounding natural, artificial and human circumstances.

Nowadays, apartment is become a representative residential pattern. With these tendency, the concern about the apartment community in order to recover the dreary relationship with neighbors which is one of theproblem of the modern society and supplement of insufficien space of the community. However, this kind of community facirlities programs aren't individualized and it's operation is so paltry that it's actuasituation is no more than a simplesupply. Therefore, this study selected two cases of the apartments which are similar in size of number of families and construction year among winners of an excellent apartment award. I would like to focus on actual conditions of operation and use of the community facilities in management sides' view attempted a comparative analysis.

Endosseous implants have been used to provide anchorage control in orthodontic treatment without the need for special patient cooperation. However these implants have limitation like space requirement, cost, equipments. Recently titanium micro-implant for orthodontic anchorage was introduced. Micro-implants are small enough to place in any area of the alveolar bone, easy to implant and remove, and inexpensive. In addition, orthodontic force application can begin almost immediately after implantation. The mandibular first, maxillary first, mandibula second, and maxillary second molars were the four most commonly missing teeth in adult sample. In case of posterior molar teeth missing, deflective contacts in any position, over time, has produced pathologic change of occlusal scheme because of extrusion of opposing teeth. This case had interocclusal space deficiency by mandibular right molars missing over time. The micro-implants had been used for intrusion of maxillary right molars for interocclusal space. The micro-implant would be absolute anchorage for orthodontic movement. Therefore, the micro-implant would be effective method for correction of occlusal plane.

I argue that the so-called psychological predicates like komapta ′thankful,′ mwusepta ′fearful,′ silhta ′loathsome,′ or kulipta ′missing′require a nominative subject and a locative or dative complement, challenging the claim, a conventional wisdom originated from Kuno(1973), that they are two-place "transitive adjectives" requiring a nominative direct object, I also show that those adjectives are subject to having the locative-dative complement extracted, which is ultimately realized as a focused subject or a topic. Thus, in this type of double nominative constructions, the first nominative is a focused subject, and the second nominative forms an embedded clause with the psychological predicate, which functions as the predicate of the whole sentence.
