대륙연계 컨테이너 수송을 위한 환적방식과 궤간가변방식의 경제성 비교 (Economic Analysis on Transshipment and the Gauge-Adjustable System for Trans-Continental Container Transportation)

  • 연구의 목적은 동북아 철도물류시스템에 한국형 궤간가변대차가 상용화되는 것을 가정하고, 향후 궤간 가변대차의 도입 및 운영에 필요한 경제성 분석을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위해 향후 컨테이너 수송에서 예상되는 화물 연계 서비스 중 환적방식과 궤간가변방식의 서비스 유형에 대하여 경로별 그리고 수송량 별로 수송시스템의 획득, 운영 및 유지보수, 폐기의 전 과정 속에서 발생되는 총 수명주기비용을 예측하고 이를 기반으로 각 대안을 비교 분석하였다. 또한, 각 대안별 경제성을 추정하기 위하여 객관적 비용으로 나타나는 LCC 비용뿐만 아니라 서비스 유형의 차이로 발생하는 궤간변경 지점에서의 통행시간 절감부분과 부가적인 서비스 등 서비스 이용자의 직접적인 편익을 고려한 비용-편익 비를 분석하여 경제성을 추정하였다. LCC 분석 및 B/C 분석결과, 경제성 측면에서 환적방식에 비하여 궤간가변방식이 우수함을 확인하였다.

고속도로 노후 콘크리트 포장 보강의 경제성 분석 사례 연구 (Case Studies of the Life Cycle Cost Analysis for Rehabilitation of Deteriorated Expressway Concrete Pavements)

  • PURPOSES : Concrete pavement has been used in the construction of the Jungbu expressway in 1987. More than 60% of the pavement on the expressway is currently made of concrete, but most has been used far beyond their design life. Pavement life has been extended through routine maintenance or overlay. However, the structural capacity of the pavement has reached its limit, and extensive rehabilitation/reconstruction with long time traffic blocking should be considered. The three following issues on concrete rehabilitation/reconstruction will be discussed: (1) economic comparison of asphalt inlay and asphalt overlay, (2) economic comparison preventive overlay on a section which is currently good and routine overlay on the section which will be poor, and (3) economic analysis of early-strength concrete when it is used in concrete reconstruction. METHODS : First, various life cycle cost analysis tools were compared, and the proper tool for the extensive rehabilitation/reconstruction was selected. Second, a sensitivity analysis of the selected tool was performed to find the influential input variables, which should be carefully selected in the analysis. Third, three case studies, which can be issues in the rehabilitation/reconstruction of the expressway concrete pavement in Korea, were performed. RESULTS : Asphalt overlay without milling the deteriorated concrete showed 18~25% lower life cycle cost than the current asphalt inlay with milling. The good current preventive overlay on the section was economically justified within the scope of this study. The construction cost limit of the early strength concrete was suggested to be economical for 1, 3, and 7 days of construction alternative opening. CONCLUSIONS : CA4PRS was a viable tool for comparing various rehabilitation/reconstruction issue alternatives. Several concrete issues associated with the rehabilitation/reconstruction of the deteriorated concrete pavement were discussed as mentioned above.

열원에 따른 열펌프의 성능 비교 및 경제성 평가 (Performance Characteristics and Economic Assessment of Heat Pump Systems with the Various Heat Source)

  • The objectives of this study are to analyze the performance of a heat pump system with the various heat source and to carry out economic assessment for the heat pump system. The COP of the river water and ground source heat pump system was 20% higher than that of the air source heat pump system because river water and geothermal provide stable operating temperature compared with air temperature throughout the year. In addition, the economic assessment of a heat pump system using air, river water, and geothermal as a heat source was carried out. The ratio of the life cycle operating cost to the life cycle cost increased with the increase of building capacity. The payback period was found to be less than 3.3 and 4.5 years, respectively when the capacity of the river water and ground source heat pump was larger than 10 RT.

  • On a plan for the Winter Olympics 2018, Korean government is in the process of the world's first use of ocean energy for the Olympic ice-rink. This technology will be applied to a seaside town and have possibility of an export industry. In this study, we researched facilities and system for P ice-rink that acts as a cultural center as well as a physical plant in Busan and provided the way that apply by seawater heat source. Also, existing system and seawater heat source system of P ice-rink was analyzed by the most commonly used life cycle cost analysis among economics methods. Such economics data for ice-rink using seawater will be utilized by a basic information.

철도용 SCP합성거더교의 LCC 분석에 관한 연구 (Life Cycle Cost Analysis of SCP Composite Girder Bridge for Railroad)

  • Recently, the SCP(Steel Confined Prestressed concrete) composite girders are developed to improve the characteristic such as displacement, vibration, and heavy dead load due to influence of self weight, and inefficiency of steel section of exiting girder-type railroad bridges. It is needed to verify the economical effciency of newly developed SCP composite girder bridge compared with the conventional girder-type bridges. In this paper, LCC analysis for alternative railroad bridges Is performed and its technique based on level of risk(probability of failure) is suggested. From the results, it may be stated that SCP composite girder bridge is more economical than a conventional one.

  • 합리적인 교량 대안선정을 위해서는 설계 시 경제성, 경관성, 안전성 및 기능성, 유지관리 용이성, 시공성 등 다양한 속성을 고려하여야 한다. 이 중 경제성은 초기비용뿐만 아니라 공용수명에 걸쳐 발생하는 유지관리비용, 보수 보강비용, 해체 폐기비용 등의 합인 총 생애주기비용에 대해 최소의 비용으로 최상의 가치를 창출하도록 하여야 한다. 본 연구에서는 건설계획과정에서 대표적으로 고려될 수 있는 대안으로 세 가지 교량 형식(강상자형교, 소수주형교, PSC-I형 거더교)을 대상구조물로 선정하고 교량의 공용수명은 상태등급곡선으로부터 추정한 내하율 곡선을 사용하여 산정하였다. LCC최적설계를 위해 설계변수, 제약조건, 목적함수를 구성하였고, 총 생애주기비용을 공용수명으로 나눈 연간생애주기비용을 사용하여 하여 합리적인 교량의 경제성 분석을 수행하였다.

  • Road on the urban underground railway has been repaired for several years right after completion caused by the settlement of backfill and the damage of utility lines, which demands the practical application of life-cycle cost on design of backfill. This study perform the VE and LCC Analysis to select a optimal method of backfill and present the models and factors of VE process in the consideration of specialists' opinion and judgement on the category of critical maintenance items.

  • 본 연구는 BTL 사업 중 학교시설에 대한 VE LCC를 적용한 결과에 대한 효과를 분석한 것이다. BTL 사업은 민간사업자가 자금을 투자하여 공공시설을 건설 한 후 시설의 소유권을 정부에 이전하는 대신 일정기간동안 시설의 사용 수익권한을 획득하여 그 권한을 정부에 임대하고 그 임대료로 투자비를 회수하는 사업방식이다. 정부는 건설기술관리법 시행령 제 38조의 13 '설계의 경제성 등 검토'를 제정하여 100억 이상의 건설공사에 경제성 검토를 실시하도록 법적으로 제도화하였다. 학교시설 BTL 사업은 2006년부터 시작되었지만, 학교시설 BTL 사업의 특성상 사업실적이 적고, VE 워크샵 수행기간도 짧고, VE 적용 후 데이터베이스 구축이 타 사업에 비하여 적은 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 최근 학교시설 BTL 사업 설계 VE 사례분석을 통하여 VE LCC의 효과를 분석하고, VE 데이터베이스로 활용하고자 한다.

Optimal Replacement Scheduling of Water Pipelines

  • Water distribution networks (WDNs) are designed to satisfy water requirement of an urban community. One of the central issues in human history is providing sufficient quality and quantity of water through WDNs. A WDN consists of a great number of pipelines with different ages, lengths, materials, and sizes in varying degrees of deterioration. The available annual budget for rehabilitation of these infrastructures only covers part of the network; thus it is important to manage the limited budget in the most cost-effective manner. In this study, a novel pipe replacement scheduling approach is proposed in order to smooth the annual investment time series based on a life cycle cost assessment. The proposed approach is applied to a real WDN currently operating in South Korea. The proposed scheduling plan considers both the annual budget limitation and the optimum investment on pipes' useful life. A non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm is used to solve a multi-objective optimization problem. Three decision-making objectives, including the minimum imposed LCC of the network, the minimum standard deviation of annual cost, and the minimum average age of the network, are considered to find optimal pipe replacement planning over long-term time period. The results indicate that the proposed scheduling structure provides efficient and cost-effective rehabilitation management of water network with consistent annual budget.

  • Ground source heat pump(GSHP) systems have been attracted as high-efficient energy-saving technology, but the building clients and designers have hesitated to use GSHP systems which is a expensive initial installation and a uncertain economic feasibility. Therefore In order to reduce the initial cost, many researchers have focused on the energy-pile system using the structure of the building as a heat exchanger. Even though many of experimental studies for energy pile system have been conducted, there was not enough data of a quantitative evaluation with the economic analysis and comprehensive analysis for energy-pile. In this study, the feasibility study for the energy pile system with a barrette pile was conducted by the performance analysis and LCC assessment.
