The purpose of this study is to investigate how $3^{rd}$ and $4^{th}$ grade elementary students view about 'Science story', which is recently inserted in the new version of science text books. For the study, four hundred $4^{th}$ graders at four schools were considered in the area of Cheonan city, Chungnam province. The degree of student's preference, preferable science topics from the 'Science story', the reason for their preference, and their attitudes toward general science were examined. The study was initiated after student's reading of the 'Science story' (Advanced science, Science in the life, Science in the history, and Future science directions). The student attitudes toward general science were examined using questionnaire survey prior to others. The results of the study are summarized: First, the students who have more interests and affirmative attitudes about science subjects with high scores are more favored about 'Science story'. Second, generally the students prefer reading topics in the order of 1) Science in the life, 2) Advanced science, 3) Science in the history, and 4) Future science directions. However the order was flexible depending on student's gender, preference, and attitudes. Third, the student's interests about 'Science story' was mostly raised from the new scientific topics in the book. And it was also raised partly from their personal interests and usefulness for science learning. Based on the results of our study, we included some suggestions for the improved 'Science story' and their utilizations.

A traditional Korean housing is a typical type which is contained life style, spatial organization and scape element of people who lived in Korea. In the hanok, people want to be live not only in human environment and traditional culture, but also modem urban housing as a high density. This article deals as follows: First, Hanok as urban housing would be composed in a housing lot, linear type layout, devide building, and cluster type. Second, Housing unit and configuration of Multi family housing can be used single story, second story, second story + single story, multi story and Hanok roofing. Thirds, structure of the building are traditional wooden, combined one of steel and wood or concrete and wood, and the building system in exterior and interior can be seperated into another system. Forth, Image of multi story Hanok A last, consistency of Hanok is not a repeat of an origin but application and creative aptitude of the origin, and multi family housing application of Hanok can be a trial creative.

본 논의는 서사로서 <바리공주>를 이해하기 위해 대상에 대한 층위를 나누고 이에 대한 접근 방법을 재검토하고자 한다. 서사의 층위 구분과 각 층위별 분석, 그리고 그것들에 대한 통합적 접근이 이루어진다면, 이는 <바리공주>를 이해하고 연구하는 새로운 방향과 방안을 제시하는 데 기여할 수 있을 것이다. <바리공주>의 이야기 차원, 즉 표층 구조는 주인공 인물의 탄생에서부터 시작된 삶의 과제를 공간 이동과 연대기적 순차 구조로 형상화하고 있다. 이 이야기는 태어나면서 정체성을 부정당한 한 여성이 어떤 과정을 통해 존재론적 변신을 이루고 정체성을 찾아가는지를 보여준다. 특히 정체성 찾기의 여정이 주로 가족 구성원과의 관계를 통해 발생하는 사건들을 통해 형성되어 있다. 이야기 차원에서 찾을 수 있는 이 같은 구조는 가족 구성원의 갈등과 화해, 삶과 죽음이라는 대립적 패러다임으로 심층 구조를 형성하고 있다. 이 이야기를 통해 드러나는 사유 구조는 삶의 문제가 가족 구성하기의 문제이며, 동시에 죽음의 문제 역시 마찬가지라는 점이다. 삶과 죽음이라는 대립되는 것들이 공존하는 이 세계를 어떻게 통합시켜 바라 볼 것인가에 대한 답으로 이 신화의 전승집단은 인간과 신을 관계 맺게 하고 있다. 이 이야기는 망자를 천도하는 굿에서 주요하게 소통된다. 무당이 발신자이고 제의 참여자가 수신자이지만, 실제 이 이야기는 특정한 상황에서 반복되는 전혀 새로운 정보가 없는 메시지이다. 굿에서 단골과 참여자들은 <바리공주> 서사를 단순히 메시지로 수용하는 것이 아니라 자가 커뮤니케이션을 통해 자신을 삶과 행위를 재구성하는 코드로 수용한다. <바리공주>의 인물과 사건을 자신의 삶과 상동적 관계로 받아들임으로써 주어진 일상의 삶을 삶과 죽음, 단절과 소통, 갈등과 화해의 통합적 시각으로 그리고 현재적 관점으로 수용하게 된다. 이는 세상과 현실을 바꿀 수 없지만 그것에 대한 '나'의 삶의 태도를 바꾸는 것으로, 결국 이것이 신화에서 바리공주가 신으로 변신하는 것처럼, 개인이 제의 커뮤니케이션을 통해 이룰 수 있는 변화 변신인 것이다. 이처럼 <바리공주>는 이야기의 층위, 이야기 생성의 층위, 이야기 소통의 층위에서 각각의 의미나 기능이 상호 관련을 맺고 있음을 알 수 있다. 또한 세 층위에서 신화서사가 드러내는 구조는 신화 전승집단의 의식 세계와 문화체계를 드러내는 데에도 효과적이다.

At this time when the Healthy Family Act has become effective, promoting popular consciousness on a happy family life and providing guidelines to happiness are important. This study analyzed the content of 250 cases that entered the 'Happy Family Story Contest' in order to extract some common qualifies of happy families. As a result, nine characteristics were found: 1) a sense of achievement in having made a happy family 2) a sense of togetherness and solidarity 3) self-discipline 4) a Positive relationship with others 5) accomplishing one small step at one time 6) autonomy and candid communication 7) overcoming crises 8) cherishing what one has in the present 9) restraining greed and letting go. The findings of this study will help individuals reorient their lives as well as inspire the professionals to develop programs.

This study was conducted among elementary pre-service teachers who participated in creative story writing exercises related to science. It aimed at analyzing their perceptions, based on their own experiences in the story writing exercises, about story writing as a pedagogic method, to discover the implications on science education. First, creative story writing exercises were carried out over a period of eight weeks by 114 elementary pre-service teachers at a college of education, all of whom were non-science majors taking a course on earth science as a liberal arts elective. Afterward, an open-ended survey was conducted among them to discover their attitudes and opinions, both as students and as teachers-to-be. The majority of the subjects expressed a positive opinion about creative story writing as a pedagogic tool, stating that they would apply it in their future teaching by telling stories they wrote or having students write their own compositions. Pre-service teachers conclude a creative writing improves students' studying, leads interest and motivation. In addition, it linked with daily life and other school subjects. Creative story writing, when used at colleges of education, has didactic value as an empirical exercise for pre-service teachers who are not majoring in science.

Recently, the interest in a complex building increases rapidly in Korea. High-rise complex is not simply the combination of a residential apartment and a business office as previous but a building with the object of the convenience of the residents familiar with city-life style through adapting the high class life style and new residential culture to the business space, and the efficiency in using the limited building site in the town. This study presents an exploratory analysis focusing the structural system with the help of the extensive survey of the construction site in Korea, and aims a guideline for the structural design and construction of high rise complex. Through the survey, change and development in the design and the construction can be seen as the height and size of the complex grow. It is almost indispensable to design a structural system against lateral forces like earthquake or wind, which is usually measured by story drift ratio or story displacement. Improvement of the structural materials and their usages is also included for the efficiency of the structural system. Useful slab-beam system contributing to the decrease of the story height is still a concern.

사람들은 자신의 삶을 기록하고자 하는 욕구를 충족시키기 위하여 일기를 쓰거나 사진을 찍어 기록을 남긴다. 사람이 경험한 일을 자동적으로 이야기 형태로 만들어 기록으로 남길 수 있다면 그것을 통해서 자신의 경험을 다른 사람과 공유할 수 있고, 쉽게 자신의 과거 경험을 돌이켜 볼 수 있을 것이다. 본 논문에서는 모바일 기기를 통해서 얻을 수 있는 사용자 컨텍스트를 바탕으로 사람이 경험한 일들을 이야기 형식으로 구성하는 방법을 제안한다. 여기서는 사용자가 수행한 행위나 경험한 사건을 인과적이거나 시간적 순서로 연결해주기 위하여 Petri Net을 이용하였다. Petri Net은 동시적이고 병렬적으로 발생하는 사건이나 시스템을 모델링하는 방법으로 현실 세계의 일부를 모델링하는데 뿐만 아니라, 비선형적인 스토리 라인을 표현하는데도 적합한 방법이다. 제안한 방법의 가능성을 보이기 위하여 모바일 기기 사용자를 대상으로 수집한 사용자 컨텍스트를 바탕으로 스토리를 생성하는 사례를 보이고 유용성을 평가한다.

The Chandi Borobudur was likely constructed around 800 AD, during the period of the Sailendra dynasty in central Java, Indonesia. The Chandi Borobudur have 1460 narrative panels of reliefs which are distributed from the hidden foot to the fourth gallery. The 160 panels show various scenes of actions producing the corresponding results according to the Karmavibhanga(分別善惡報應經) text. Blameworthy activities with their purgatorial punishments and praiseworthy activities with their subsequent rewards are both shown. The 120 panels depict the biography of Buddha according to the Lalitavistara (方廣大莊嚴經) text. The 620 panels depict stories from Jatakas (本生譚) and Avadanas (譬喩經). The stories of 560 panels are based on Mahayayana (入法界品, 488 panels) and Bhadrucari (普賢行願讚, 72 panels) of Gandavyuha (華嚴經) text. In this study, among the 120 narrative reliefs which tell the life story of Buddha according to the Lalitavistara text in Chandi Borobudur, the images of Birth of Siddhārtha(誕生), The Great Departure (出家), Attaintment of Enlightenment (成道) and The First Sermon (初轉法輪) have been compared with the images of biography of Buddha showing in Ancient India, Gandhara and South India, and China. From a historical perspective of cultural exchange, Borobudur is very important site because it is located on the south route of transmission of Buddhism from India to South Asia, China, Korea and Japan. Study on the reliefs sculptured on the wall of Chandi Borobudur provide us information to understand the process of spreading and changes in styles of Buddhist arts.
