Buffer green space in the residential area is a mechanism for improving the residential environment and also significant for residential life satisfaction and its various social roles. Accordingly, this study aimed to discover the effect of the buffer green space, which was established to minimize environmental influences of the residential environment, on residential life satisfaction. For this purpose, a survey was conducted on residents in Myeongji Residential Area where the buffer green space was installed, to examine the factors of the buffer green space and to analyze its causal relation with residential life satisfaction. The SPSS(statistical package for social science) 21 program was used for analysis and factorial analysis, correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis were executed. As a result, the roles of the buffer green space in Myeong-ji Residential Area included residential comfort, disaster protection, green space usability and environmental ecological property. In the overall accrued factorial contribution rate, residential comfort was very high with 40.54% out of total 62.48%. In addition, the residential comfort and green area usability had a higher correlation with residential life satisfaction. However, the significant level of disaster protection and environmental ecological property were 0.725 and 0.898, respectively, which were not significant as a preference factor in multiple regression analysis. Accordingly, the buffer green space for improving residential comfort and green space usability was confirmed to enhance residential life satisfaction.

The habitual rooms and other structures related to everyday life are almost always grouped around the courtyard and together make up a house. There are many kinds of variety in types of courtyard houses depending on location, composition, allocation and relationship with inner space of the house. Every type of courtyard house accumulates many factors, which are social and economic circumstances, weather and geographical conditions. They are still well harmonized with life style and weather conditions in each area and basic unit of city organization. A courtyard can be shown as a place for everyday conversation like a community. Everyday space is the connective tissue that binds daily lives together, amorphous and so persuasive that it is difficult even to perceive. In spite of its ubiquity, everyday space is nearly invisible in the professional discourses of the city, like everyday life. Therefore Courtyards are special places that are outside yet almost inside, open to the sky, - a microcosm which gives relief to the inner rooms, gives the inhabitants a sense of ease and calm, and the feeling that they have their own piece of sky to use and protect them. This research will explore a variety of space use and dwelling types through courtyards based on field research and design projects.

To investigate the factors that contribute to consumer satisfaction with the purchase of clothing, questionnaires were distributed and then consumer groups were classified according to their fashion life style on the internet shopping. The results were as follows: 1. Consumers groups were classified into trendy, Indifferent, brand inclined, conservative, and practicality- minded group by the fashion life style of the internet users. 2. From the analysis of the satisfaction factors on the internet clothing shopping, the factors were product variety, shopping convenience, customer service, confidence in order filling. 3. The most important consumer satisfaction factors according to the fashion life style were as follows: the trendy group considered the variety of clothing design most important. As for the Indifferent group, the tn, diversified collection of the products, and the convenience of unlimited time and space access that the internet site provided, were highly appreciated. With regard to the brand-inclined group, the presentation of product information and the convenience of unlimited time and space factors were highly appreciated. For the conservative group, the time and space factor were highly regarded, As far as the practicality-minded group was concerned, product price and size, the convenience of unlimited time and space access, and punctual delivery schedule were focused.

The main purpose of this study is to analyze construction of space through the investigation of the cases of school community library through Gangneung-si's life-learning project and the findings from the analysis could be summarized as below. Firstly, most space used for school community library has the size of two classes in school on average and locals use generally space for reference and learning at school community library. Secondly, the construction of space of school community library is categorized into one for book-returning, references, reading, group learning and information, and an audio-visual space is also used for group learning and reading. A space for book-returning has features based on the location of its entrance and a space for reading features stand-up and sitting-on space considering size and usability. And a space for group learning has the feature of space planning that makes it possible for local people to get library programs and seminars and a space for information shows its feature of space planning that uses the wall.

In order to improve the housing environment and quality of life for the rural elderly, this study aims to identify and present the status of community centers, most widely used by the elderly in rural areas. Through the literature review, type and space elements of community centers were derived and selected three target areas were investigated. As a result of literature analysis, the space type of rural community centers were classified as indoor space and outdoor space. The indoor space types were classified as entry space, public space, sanitary space and the outdoor space were classified as entry space and leisure space. Some community centers were surveyed in Seocheon-gun, Wanju-gun, and Cheongju-city. Results indicate the indoor and outdoor space design and elements were undergoing a lot of inconvenience partly because standard design was considered and the space was not planned for the physical, psychological and social health of the rural elderly. Therefore, this study will be used as a basis for building healthier and more friendly residential environments that can enhance the health and quality of life for the elderly in rural areas.

This study conducted a spatial characterization of the public space using the pattern language of Christopher Alexander. It is the place which the city offers the human various experience. Urban public space has played an important role in flourishing public life through history. It has been a place for communication, cultural events, commercial exchange recreation, etc. among people in the city. But today, various behavior in public space and public life are declined. One of the reason in neglecting the user's need when urban space are planned and managed. This study examined the role and types of urban public space through literature survey and found the reason for its decline. For this public space spatial characteristics and indicators by FGI(Focus Group Interview) derived through. After those, case study was examined Jongro in Seoul and analyzed the spatial characteristics of the urban public space in a pattern language. Consequently, this study presents suitable a space structure direction of the public space and do for rather abundant a city space furtherance.

According to the change in diverse tendency of residents, construction companies has developed the brands of apartments with the concepts of LOHAS, well-being, ubiquitous, etc. The purpose of this study was to suggest space requirement and planning for residents characteristics. The questionnaire survey was adopted in this study and 252 cases were used for data analysis. The survey analysis has been made by using of SPSS WIN 12.0. The major findings were as follows; (1) Resident opinion about the direction of each space was investigated into the need of South-facing in master bedroom highly. (2) The residents didn't want to decrease the current size of each space, the space which wanted to increase was livingroom. (3) The significant variables of space requirement and planning for residents characteristics were family life cycle, the age of householder, the occupation of householder, the size of apartment.

Many countries concentrated on the space developments to enhance the national security and the people's quality of life. A space launch vehicle for accessing the space is a typical large complex system that is composed of the high-technology like high-performance, high-reliability, superhigh-pressure, etc. The project developing large complex system like space launcher is mostly conducted in the uncertain environment. To achieve a goal of the project, its success probability should be enhanced consistently by reducing its uncertainty during the life cycle: it's possible to reduce the project's uncertainty by performing the risk management (RM) that is a method for identifying and tracing potential risk factors in order to eliminate the risks of the project. In this paper, we introduce the risk management (RM) process applied for a Space Launch Vehicle R&D Project.

Recently, the studio which is urban housing form is rapidly growing up by new residential space according to increasing 1~2 person households form because of Modern members who have changing patterns of life and diversification of social values. The resident of the studio who lives or uses the space for a work such as students, office worker and soho-jok has various characters by a society nature changes and a regional peculiarity. The studio form and function is getting change according to variety trend changes and their life styles. The role and use of residential space also have variety such as the resident who lives in the studio. This study is to find the space utilization for them and reasonable housing solution in that structure, furniture and Wall Storage System of existing studio which is based on the common life patterns. The study's purpose is to propose the furniture design of changeable Wall Storage System according to the analysis.

Understanding the consumer changed life styles are integrated, mutual complement for user's worth and consciousness, the life of consumption, etc. Recently, Apartment Model House has built for distribute to Apartment house When they enter the units after 2 or 3 years. So, Interior designer make an inference from the changed life styles. But, We don't have enough information to trace the design trend about residential space design. Design database is correspond with interior space and structured entity relationship. There are three parts in this Database, Type, Elements and Relation information. Type are composed size, ages, style, and space, Elements are materials and space elements. Relation information are publishing, designer, exhibition, construction company, remodeling, Intoner design and User favorite styles are the development in web environment. This research supplies interior design information for Web environment and trend analysis supports collaboration with development of interior design information database.
