This paper introduces a class model based on a course, Internet English, offered by an English department at a university. The course has dual purposes of developing students I English skills and Internet using skills at the same time. In support of using the Internet for language learning, the advantages of project-based language learning and constructivist learning in relation to CALL are explored. The activities in this course, which are basically project-based under the paradigm of constructivist learning perspective, are explained in detail to show the relationship between second language learning theory and teaching application. The way how the four language skills - speaking, listening, reading, and writing - are integrated in this class is described as well. Finally, judgmental evaluation of the course by the students is noted. The results show that a project-based CALL class could be a promising class model to realize an integrative, constructivist, and authentic learning.
Recently, there has been an increasing interest in 'Flipped Learning,' an IT-based learner-centered teaching-learning method corresponding to meet the paradigm of the future education. For smooth Flipped Learning, there are three steps in total: a pre-class should precede; then, in the structure of classes in the classroom, in-class learning among peer learners should be done; and lastly, the operation of a post-class should be done. For successful Flipped Learning, class elements in each step should be designed with a time difference, interconnected so as to achieve a single educational objective. However, it was found that there was a limitation in that the teaching-learning model of the preceding Flipped Learning consisted of the order of analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation as general procedures, so it would not sufficiently consider the situations of Flipped Learning only. On this background, this thesis proposes a differentiated Flipped Learning model for mastery learning in a subject of an institute of technology as a model of systematic instructional design and presents a case of a class applied to an actual subject of computer engineering.

In this paper, we defined constructivism and ontology theory and associate it in Location Based Service ubiquitous learning. And this paper aims to provide a clear vision about location based service (LBS) ubiquitous learning. The typical ubiquitous learning involving the Context Aware Intelligent system was presented. Also the Architecture for learning environment including the key idea and technical concept is being presented in this paper. Guided with these principles and with the advancement of information and communication technology the context-awareness based on Artificial intelligence for Location based Service for ubiquitous Learning was conceptualized. U-learning for Location Based Service is presented here and the concept behind this new learning paradigm. The learning environment architecture which comprises the entire component is illustrated here.

The development of systems that can generate automatically instructional material is a challenging goal for the e-learning community. These systems pave the way towards large scale e-learning deployment as they produce instruction on-demand for users requesting to learn about any topic, anywhere and anytime. However, realizing such systems is possible with the availability of vast repositories of web information in different formats that can be searched, reused and integrated into information-rich environments for interactive learning. This paradigm of learning relieves instructors from the tedious authoring task, making them focusing more on the design and quality of instruction. This paper presents a mobile learning system (Mole) that supports the generation of instructional material in M-Learning (Mobile Learning) contexts, by reusing and integrating heterogeneous hypermedia web resources. Mole uses open hypermedia repositories to build a Learning Web and to generate learning objects including various hypermedia resources that are adapted to the user context. Learning is delivered through a nice graphical user interface allowing the user to navigate conveniently while building their own learning path. A test case scenario illustrating Mole is presented along with a system evaluation which shows that in 90% of the cases Mole was able to generate learning objects that are related to the user query.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of PBL on self-directed learning and critical thinking disposition. Method: The research design was a nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design using two groups of first-year students from two nursing schools in Gwangju, South Korea. PBL was conducted for one semester. Result: Significant difference was found in self-directed learning between the two groups after PBL (p<0.05). but, not in critical thinking disposition. Conclusion: The findings indicate that there is a need for paradigm shift in nursing education from the traditional teacher-centered methods to a more learner-centered approach. PBL program will facilitate the development of abilities to become self-directed in learning.

Recently, the concept of ubiquitous learning which is regarded as so-called "beyond e-learning" has received remarkable interest along with the new social paradigm, namely, ubiquitous environment. The ubiquitous learning which is believed to lead educational renovation through information technology is recognized as the vision of future education. This paper intends to introduce the general ideas of ubiquitous learning and the present situation.
Object detection is a challenging field in the visual understanding research area, detecting objects in visual scenes, and the location of such objects. It has recently been applied in various fields such as autonomous driving, image surveillance, and face recognition. In traditional methods of object detection, handcrafted features have been designed for overcoming various visual environments; however, they have a trade-off issue between accuracy and computational efficiency. Deep learning is a revolutionary paradigm in the machine-learning field. In addition, because deep-learning-based methods, particularly convolutional neural networks (CNNs), have outperformed conventional methods in terms of object detection, they have been studied in recent years. In this article, we provide a brief descriptive summary of several recent deep-learning methods for object detection and deep learning architectures. We also compare the performance of these methods and present a research guide of the object detection field.

This paper presents a model of e-learning based on ubiquitous computing configuration. The proposed e-learning model as following. we propose the e-learning system's hardware and software configurations which are server and networking systems. Also, we construct the proposed e-learning systems's services. There are attendance and absence service, class management service, common knowledge service, score processing service, facilities management service, personal management service, personal authorization issue management service, campus guide service, lecture-hall management service. Also, we propose the laboratory equipment management service, experimental materials management service etc.

In recent years there has been a rise in the use and interest of the flipped learning as a teaching and learning paradigm. The flipped learning model includes any use of Internet technology to enrich the learning in a classroom, so that a professor can spend more time interacting with students instead of lecturing. In the flipped model, students viewed video lectures online outside of class time. Students then performed two kinds of assignments, a teamwork assignment and an individual work assignment, through the class time. In this paper, we propose a flipped educational model for a college class. This experimental research compares class of college algorithm using the flipped classroom methods and the traditional lecture-homework structure and its effect on student achievement. The result data of mid-term exam and final exam were analyzed and compared with previous year data. The findings of this research show that there was not a significant difference in the scores of student between two lecturing methods. The survey result and lecture evaluation by students show that students are in favor of the flipped learning.
Objectives : The each college of Korean medicine in Korea adopts diverse textbooks for the medical history class, resulting in educational contents variations. This proposal aimed for the standardization of educational contents. Methods : The transition of medical history curriculum will be attempted based on the understanding of paradigm change in modern education. The first step is investigation on the course credit and curriculum grade of medical history class presented in education status reports of all Korean medicine schools. The next step is study on the various methods about changes of medical history education base on the learning objectives of colleges of Korean medicine. Results : The researchers of medical history should make an agreement on modification of learning objectives of the curriculum, and then educational standardization must be achieved by publishing a medical history textbook in accordance with the modified learning objectives. Conclusions : The researchers of medical history must collaborate to standardize medical history education by developing and applying internet-based flipped learning model.
