The Teaching Competency and Educational Needs of Electricity·Electronic·Communication Technical Teachers (전기·전자·통신 계열 공업교사의 교수능력과 교육요구)

  • The purpose of this study was to determine the present teaching competency level and the educational needs of electricity electronic communication technical teachers. The population was electricity electronic communication technical teachers, 750 teachers were sampled for this study. A survey questionnaire consisted of teaching competencies scale including 3 domains based on Performance-Based Teacher Education Modules. The professional competencies scale consisted of 5-point Likert-type 30 items for them to rate the importance and also to indicate the teaching competency level. A questionnaire was mailed to the sample and 443 returned questionnaires were analyzed after data cleaning. The educational needs of teachers were calculated by using the Borich's needs assessment formula. The findings of this study were as follows. 1) electricity electronic communication technical teachers perceived all the thirty competencies as highly important ones. 2) They perceived that their current teaching competency level was just beyond the ordinary level but was lower than the good level. 3) The highest needs were 'determining learning level & interests of students', 'applying problem solving techniques', 'reconstructing lesson contents', 'establishing lesson objectives'. 4) They have a different level of educational needs on the competencies according to their gender, terminal education level, year of teaching experience, practical work experience, school type(national public school/private school), and school location.

A Comparative study on Perceived Importance and Frequency of Core Nursing Skills between General and Special wards (일반병동과 특수병동의 핵심기본간호술에 대한 중요성인식과 수행 빈도 비교)

  • This study was performed to compare the perceived importance and performance frequency of the core nursing skills between general and special department. Subjects were 182 nurses who work on the hospital. Data was collected using items made by Korean accreditation board of nursing education and analyzed by frequency, mean and t-test. There were differences of importance and frequencies about nursing core skill between general and special wards. Core nursing skills of general wards were higher importance on intradermal injection(p=.011), transfusion(p=.028), simple catheterization(p=.047), cleansing enema(p=<.001), preoperative and postoperative care(p=.035), management administration(p=.027) and oxygenation with cannular(p=.002) than special wards. Actual performance frequency core nursing skills of general wards were higher similar on transfusion(p=.002), intermittent tube feeding(p=.032), simple catheterization(p=<.001), cleansing enema(p=<.001), preoperative care(p=.001), postoperative care(p=<.001), management administration(p=.001), protection equipment for quarantine room and waste disposal(p=.021), oxygenation with cannular(p=<.001) than special wards. It is needed to develop efficient and sequential program to learning the nursing core skills for nursing students.

  • 오늘날의 기업은 상품을 판매하는 것 뿐만 아니라 기업의 신용과 이미지를 위해 그 상품에 대한 사후처리(After Service) 업무에 많은 투자를 하고 있다. 이러한 양질의 사후서비스를 고객에게 공급하기 위해서는 많은 인력을 합리적으로 관리해야 하고 요청되는 고장수리 서비스 업무를 빠르게 해결하기 위해서는 업무를 인력들에게 합리적으로 배정을 하고 회사의 비용을 최소화하면서 정해진 시간에 요청된 작업을 처리하기 위해서는 인력들에게 작업을 배정하고 스케줄링하는 문제가 발생된다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 화학계기의 A/S 작업을 인력에게 합리적으로 배정하는 스케줄링 시스템에 관한 연구이다. 먼저 스케줄링 모델을 HP 사의 화학분석 및 시스템을 판매, 유지보수 해 주는 "영진과학(주)"회사의 작업 스케줄을 분석하여 필요한 도메인과 고객서비스전략과 인력관리전략에서 제약조건을 추출하였고 여기에 스케줄링 문제를 해결하기 위한 방법으로 제약만족문제(CSP) 해결기법인 도메인 여과기법을 적용하였다. 도메인 여과기법은 제약조건에 의해 변수가 갖는 도메인의 불필요한 부분을 여과하는 것으로 제약조건과 관련되어 있는 변수의 도메인이 축소되는 것이다. 또한, 스케줄링을 하는데에 있어서 비용적인 측면에서의 스케줄링방법과 고객 만족도에서의 스케줄링 방법을 비교하여 가장 이상적인 해를 찾는데 트래이드오프(Trade-off)를 이용하여 최적의 해를 구했으며 실험을 통해 인력에게 더욱 효율적으로 작업들을 배정 할 수 있었고 또한, 정해진 시간에 많은 작업을 처리 할 수 있었으며 작업을 처리하는데 있어 소요되는 비용을 감소하는 결과를 얻을 수 있었다. 검증하였다.를, 지지도(support), 신뢰도(confidence), 리프트(lift), 컨빅션(conviction)등의 관계를 통해 다양한 방법으로 모색해본다. 이 연구에서 제안하는 이러한 개념계층상의 흥미로운 부분의 탐색은, 전자 상거래에서의 CRM(Customer Relationship Management)나 틈새시장(niche market) 마케팅 등에 적용가능하리라 여겨진다.선의 효과가 나타났다. 표본기업들을 훈련과 시험용으로 구분하여 분석한 결과는 전체적으로 재무/비재무적 지표를 고려한 인공신경망기법의 예측적중률이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 로지스틱회귀 분석의 재무적 지표모형은 훈련, 시험용이 84.45%, 85.10%인 반면, 재무/비재무적 지표모형은 84.45%, 85.08%로서 거의 동일한 예측적중률을 가졌으나 인공신경망기법 분석에서는 재무적 지표모형이 92.23%, 85.10%인 반면, 재무/비재무적 지표모형에서는 91.12%, 88.06%로서 향상된 예측적중률을 나타내었다.ting LMS according to increasing the step-size parameter $\mu$ in the experimentally computed. learning curve. A Study of the Connection Between the Reading Movement and Newspaper in Education Activity (독서 운동과 NIE 활동의 연계 방안에 관한 연구)

  • The main purpose of this study is to develop and apply a means of connecting reading movement and Newspaper In Education (NIE) activities utilizing the voluntary participation and cooperation of local school districts and autonomous government entities. This is necessary to revitalize or systematize the environmental social life of reading newspapers and NIE activity. Literary or inquiry research will be initiated in this study in order to quantify the current or actual conditions of this connection, delineating the basic objectives of this study, and determining the developmental directions for continuing this study as related to the connection of reading movement and NIE activity. Anticipated study activities or major tasks are as follows. First, develop a variety of intended programs and learning materials necessary for each. Secondly, develop and establish corresponding online data and educational programs. Thirdly, a "cooperation" system must be established and training programs implemented reinforcing these ideas. And, lastly (and to gain wider acceptance), starting a public relations campaign to show or illustrate the benefits of this study and these intended research activities. In conclusion, if a connection between reading movement and NIE activity are fully established and periodically adjusted by means of continuing discussions on the merits or concerns based on the study findings, the full potential of the reading movement connection with NIE activity will be realized and achieved to its truest meaning and/or highest order.

A Quantative Evaluation Method of the Quality of Natural Language Sentences based on Genetic Algorithm (유전자 알고리즘에 기반한 자연언어 문장의 정량적 질 평가 방법)

  • 본 논문에서는 자연언어 문장의 객관적 정량적인 질 측정 방법의 구축에 대해 설명하고, 이를 문장 퇴고 시스템의 사례에 적용해 본다. 문장의 질을 평가한다는 것은 본질적으로 주관적이고 정량화가 어려운 작업이기 때문에, 이 과정에서 질의 객관적 계량화가 가능한지 여부가 가장 중요한 문제가 된다. 이 논문에서는 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 유전자 알고리즘을 이용한 진화적 접근 방법을 통해 객관적이고 정량적인 질의 측정 공식을 유도하는 방법론을 제시하였다. 이 논문에서 제시한 방법론의 핵심은 간단히 말해서 사람이 행하는 정성적인 판단을, 이에 가장 근접하는 정량적 측정 체계로 전환시키는 것이라고 보면 된다. 이것을 위해 정량화 문제를 문장의 단순 언어 특징들의 변화값을 이용한 최적화 문제로 환원시키고, 다시 이 최적화 문제를 유전자 알고리즘을 이용해 해결함으로써 문제를 효과적으로 해결할 수 있었다. 실험 결과를 보면, 본 논문에서 제시한 최적화 방법은 주어진 훈련용 예제와 검증용 예제 중 각각 99.84%, 99.88%를 만족시키는 해를 찾아내었으므로 정량적 질 평가 공식의 유도에 매우 효과적임을 알 수 있었다. 또한 도출된 측정 공식을 이용해서 실제 퇴고 시스템 평가에 적용한 결과 문장 질의 측정에 매우 유용하게 이용될 수 있음을 알 수 있었다. 이와 같이 질의 정량적 평가가 가능하다는 사실이 갖는 또 한가지 중요한 의미는 최종 사용자의 구매 의사나 개발자의 공학적 의사 결정을 위한 객관적 성능 평가 자료의 제공에 이 방법이 유용하게 사용될 수 있다는 점이다.Abstract This paper describes a method of building a quantitative measure of the quality of natural language sentences, particularly produced by document revision systems. Evaluating the quality of natural language sentences is intrinsically subjective, so what is most important as to the evaluation is whether the quality can be measured objectively. To solve such problem of objective measurability, genetic algorithm, an evolutionary learning method, is employed in this paper. The underlying standpoint of this approach is that building the quality measures is a task of constructing a formulae that produces as close results as can to the qualitative decisions made by humans. For doing this, the problem of measurability has been simply reduced to an optimization problem using the change of the values of simple linguistic parameters found in sentences, and the reduced problem has been solved effectively by the genetic algorithm. Experimental result shows that the optimization task satisfied 99.84% and 99.88% of the given objectives for training and validation samples, respectively, which means the method is quite effective in constructing the quantitative measure of the quality of natural language sentences. The actual evaluation result of a revision system shows that the measure is useful to quantize the quality of sentences. Another important contribution of this measure would be to provide an objective performance evaluation data of natural language systems on a basis of which end-users and developers can make their decision to fit their own needs.

Deriving Topics for Safety of Folk Villages Following Scope and Content of ICT-Based DPD

  • This paper presents a novel concept of Disaster Prevention Design (DPD) and its derived subjects and topics for the safety of folk villages in both Korea and Japan. Nowadays, design concepts are focused on 'human-oriented nature' as a whole and this tendency fits to be appropriate for disaster prevention against real dangers of a future society, which is expected to have far more complicated features. On the other hand, convergences have performed with other areas in the field of Information Communication Technology (ICT) so that we can easily find examples like 'the strategy of ICT-based convergence' of the Korean Government in 2014. Modern content designs including UI (user interface) and USN (ubiquitous sensor network) have been developed as one of the representative areas of ICT & UD (universal design) convergences. These days this novel concept of convergence is overcoming the existing limitations of the conventional design concept focused on product and/or service. First of all, from that point our deduced topic or subject would naturally be a monitoring system design of constructional structures in folk villages for safety. We offer an integrated model of maintenance and a management-monitoring scheme. Another important point of view in the research is a safety sign or sign system installed in folk villages or traditional towns and their standardization. We would draw up and submit a plan that aims to upgrade signs and sign systems applied to folk villages in Korea and Japan. According to our investigations, floods in Korea and earthquakes in Japan are the most harmful disasters of folk villages. Therefore, focusing on floods in the area of traditional towns in Korea would be natural. We present a water-level expectation model using deep learning simulation. We also apply this method to the area of 'Andong Hahoe' village which has been registered with the World Cultural Heritage of UNESCO. Folk village sites include 'Asan Oeam', 'Andong Hahoe' and 'Chonju Hanok' villages in Korea and 'Beppu Onsen' village in Japan. Traditional Streets and Markets and Safe Schools and Parks are also chosen as nearby test-beds for DPD based on ICT. Our final goal of the research is to propose and realize an integrated disaster prevention and/or safety system based on big data for both Korea and Japan.

Teacher's Perception of Activity Materials in Housing Area of Middle School Technology & Home Economics Textbook (중학교 기술.가정 주생활영역 활동자료에 대한 교사의 인식)

  • Activity materials in textbook could facilitate students' oriented self-help learning. The purpose of this paper is to find out characteristics of activity materials in the housing area of middle school Technology and Home Economics and teacher's perception of them. The data were collected from 253 middle school teachers who had ever taught the housing unit in any of 6 textbooks. The results showed that the number of activity materials were differed by the characteristics of the materials such as type of materials, feature of non sentence materials, and type of activity, depend on authors as well as textbooks. In general, teachers interests in the materials were higher than those of students even the trends of the interests were the same. Adequacy of activity contents and related knowledge of teachers were higher than adequacy of level. Teachers thought time and extra search beyond class were barrier to full the interests of students. Further research is suggested to find out whether higher interests in the materials are related to the higher activating rate of them.

Analysis of Horticultural Therapy Programs for the Mentally Disabled (정신적 장애인을 위한 원예치료 프로그램 분석)

  • In order to analyze the horticultural-therapy program, which was carried out targeting the mentally disabled, relevant 559 copies of 'Confirmation Note of horticultural activity' submitted for to be used the use in license examination to Korean Horticultural Therapy and Wellbeing Association were used as a tool. It contains 64 horticultural therapists for level 1 and 524 horticultural therapists for level 2 from May in 2000 to February in 2008. With the aim of examining difference depending on people covered by the program, license kind and horticultural therapy activity period in horticulture therapists, ${\chi}^2$ test was conducted on the basis of frequency in each. Data was analyzed by using SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Science) Win 13.0 program, which was carried out targeting the mentally disabled, the 'art and craft activity' was the largest with 46.0%. In terms of 'growing activity', the 'normal growing' showed the highest ratio with 74.7%. In the 'art and craft activity', the 'flower decoration' showed the highest ratio with 37.5%. In the result of 'Cooking activity', the activity related to 'tea' was the largest ratio with 33.6%. As a result of 'learning activity', 'orientation' was the largest ratio with 47.6%. In the 'outdoor activity', 'excursion' was the largest ratio with 36.7%.

A Qualitative Study on Educational Experiences of Students with Multicultural Family Backgrounds (이민자녀들의 한국교육경험에 관한 질적 연구)

  • This is a pilot study of multifaceted longitudinal research project to explore educational experiences of students with multicultural family backgrounds in Korea. Especially for this pilot study, I selected three foreign-born immigrant youths and tried to explore how these youths describe constraints of their learning experience in different culture. The data for this study were mainly collected through qualitative research methods. For a better understanding of the research participants' perceptions in this study, narrative inquiry and series of semi-structured in-depth interviews were conducted for a period of four months which corresponds to one semester of school system in Korea. As a result, this study found that there is an urgent need to establish a systemic and developmentaly appropriate language education programs that ensure educating the language to the foreign-born immigrant youths because their academic achievement, interpersonal relationships, and future depend greatly on the fluency of Korean language. It was also found that it is necessary to take appropriate educational actions in supporting alternative schools where the foreign-born immigrant youths can fully and seriously considered as a whole person. Although this study has some limitations in examining every single aspect of the current state of education of students with multicultural backgrounds in Korea, it provides deep insight into some of their initial educational experiences and proposes several ways to improve these educational programs for them.

The Effects of Adolescents' Volunteer Activities on their Sense of Community - Focusing on the Mediating Role of Self-esteem and Peer Attachment - (청소년 자원봉사활동이 공동체 의식에 미치는 영향 -자아존중감과 또래애착의 매개역할을 중심으로-)

  • This study examines the effects of adolescents' volunteer activities on their development of sense of community. When examining the effects of volunteer activities, both quantity and quality sides of volunteer activities were considered in the research model and besides the direct effects of volunteer activities on their sense of community, the mediating role of self-esteem and peer attachment were also examined. The data set of conducted by National Youth Policy Institute was reanalyzed for this study. The subjects of this study were 1,426 first-grade middle school students who had experiences of volunteer activities. The results of the study are as follows. First, the total hours of volunteer activities and the satisfaction with volunteer activities were positively related to their sense of community respectively. In an integrative model which combines both quantity and quality aspects of volunteer activities, however, only the satisfaction with volunteer activities was found to be significant. This means that the satisfaction with and reflective learning after volunteer activities are more important sides of adolescents' volunteer activities than whether and how many times they had experiences in volunteer activities. Second, the satisfaction with volunteer activities was found to enhance adolescents' self-esteem and peer attachment and the changes in their personal traits again led to a higher sense of community. Therefore, both the direct effects of volunteer activities and indirect effects through self-esteem and peer attachment were proved. Based on the results of the study, the need and ways to improve the management system of adolescents' volunteer activities were suggested.
