  • Interpersonal trust has become essential for online communities because people have managed to be in a situation without face-to-face encounters. To identify the structural relationships between interpersonal trust and learning performance, we analyzed the relationship between two types of trust, namely, cognitive and affective, as well as two dimensions of learning performance, namely, learning satisfaction and knowledge application. We also identified the moderating role of social norms in the relationship between trust and learning performance. Results of analysis are as follows. First, cognitive trust significantly affected the two dimensions of performance. Second, affective trust exhibited a significant effect on learning satisfaction, but did not affect knowledge application. Third, the relationships between the two performance factors were significant and direct. Lastly, social norms appeared to moderate the effects of cognitive trust on knowledge application and affective trust on satisfaction. These findings suggest that organizations, which would like to optimize task-oriented performance of their learning communities, should consider linking strategies between community satisfaction and practical knowledge application.

  • The purpose of this research is to show that elements of learning information's record(learning time and the score of practice test) have a significant effect on the correctness of decision when they are applied to e-Learning based on CAT with SPRT model. Especially, the score of practice test can be used in the real e-learning environment as its effect showed approximately 90% improvement. Therefore, if we apply learning information's record to SPRT in evaluation, we can evaluate the learner's ability more precisely and quickly, contributing to the enhancement of the individualization of learners. If an algorithm with variables from learning information's record can be developed, a better e-Learning evaluation program will be made in the future.

  • Crowdfunding has emerged as an important financing source for diverse cultural projects and commercial ventures in the early stages. Unlike traditional investment evaluation, where structured financial data is critical, such information is typically unavailable for crowdfunding campaigns. Instead, campaign creators prepare pitches containing essential information about themselves and the campaigns, which are crucial in attracting and persuading contributors. Prior literature has examined the effects of different aspects in campaign pitches, but a comprehensive understanding of the theme is lacking. This study aims to fill this gap by identifying the lexicon of frequently used vocabulary in campaign pitches and examining how they are associated with crowdfunding success. Moreover, we examine how the association differs between culture and commercial crowdfunding campaigns. We randomly collected 50,000 campaigns from the cultural and commercial categories on Kickstarter and extracted the 100 most used verbs in the campaign pitches. Based on a machine learning approach combined with principal component analysis, we constructed sets of verbal factors statistically significant in predicting crowdfunding success. The findings also show that cultural and commercial campaigns consist of different verbal components with different effects on crowdfunding success.
