  • Heat recovery ventilator(HRV) is recommended to improve indoor air quarlity (IAQ) and energy conservation in apartment houses. Recently, in Korea, HRV is produced from many manufacturers. However, there have been not so many experiences to apply HRV in apartment houses and verification on the performance such as heat exchange efficiency, carry-over rate, internal leakage, etc. have not been carried out sufficiently. So in this study, fan performance, heat exchange efficiency, air leakage, internal exhaust leakage, external leakage and sound level of HRV were examined for selected HRV models under domestic and international standard. Results of performance test, there were need to improve latent heat exchange efficiency and sound level of HRV.

  • This paper deals with the analysis of field condition for earth leakage current alarming system in the stage lighting, stage sound stage machinery installation. These analyses of field condition were carried out in accordance with investigating an installation of earth leakage current alarming system with respect to a main line of power source, dimmer, sound equipment, machinery mobile unit equipment and so on. As a result of analyses. The earth leakage current alarming system has been installed only a part of the main line of power source and the probability of places which were installed was less than 50(%). Therefore, it is desirable that the earth leakage current alarming system is installed at places which are suitable, for example, dimmer, each kind machinery etc. in order to prevent electrical hazard.

  • In this paper, 3-stage centrifugal turbo compressor was measured and analyzed numerical simulation for find noise source and was reduced noise with changing designs. For this purpose, it was measured noise level and was analyzed noise frequency at each stage. In order to Find where is noise source, the study was investigated about structure borne noise by using modal analysis and also was checked sound radiation and leakage of noise at inlet and outlet by result of sound intensity. In order to reduce of noise, sound insulation rings were maded and were adhered at joint and noise reduction effects were verified by measurement and numerical simulation. From the analysis results of leakage of noise, this study presented new joint designs, also it was verified by result of numerical simulation.

  • Leakage would happen because of the damage of high temperature and high-pressure valve in nuclear power plant. condition based prevention maintenance is essential by using the suitable method based on local condition. Energy loss prevention can prevent from an accurate test, Local actually and ability. The methods of test for high energy fluid leakage at present are analysis of ${\Delta}$T, AE(Acoustic Emission) analysis, and thermal image. The result for test of AC (Main steam) system in YNG 2 Unit reveals that the AE occurred clearly in leakage situation, but thermal image didn't occur. It is identified that leakage is occurred when the orifice located front and back of valve operates. It shows that making a impatient judgment by using the single method if it is leakage is containing uncertainty. So I think that using the Multi-Measuring method is more sound judgment than Single-Measuring method.

  • Acoustic intensity is usually estimated by the cross-spectrum of acoustic pressure at two adjacent micrphones. The cross-spectrum calculated by digital Fourier transform technique will unavoidally have leakage error since the period of signal will not be usually coincident with record length. Therefore, the acoustic intensity estimated by the conventional r]n analyzer will show distorted value. In this paper the expression of the Fourier transformed data of a harmonic signal is formulated when there is leakage error. The method to elimate the effect of leakage error from the contaminated data is also proposed. Some numerical examples show the validation of the proposed method.

  • Lower flux leakage designs have become important in the development of microspeakers used in thin and miniaturized mobile phones. We propose four methods to reduce the flux leakage of the magnetic circuit in a microspeaker. Optimization was performed based on the proposed approach by using the response surface method. Electromagnetic analyses were conducted using the finite element method. Experimental results are in good agreement with the simulated results obtained in one degree-of-freedom analysis from 100 to 5 kHz. Both the simulated and experimental results confirm that one of the proposed methods is much more effective in reducing flux leakage than the other methods. In the optimized method, compared with a default approach, the average radial flux density in the air gap decreased only by 5.5%, the maximum flux leakage was reduced by 28.6%, and the acoustic performance at primary resonance decreased by 0.45 dB, which gap is indiscernible to the human ear.

  • Gas leakage in an oil refinery causes damage to the environment and unsafe conditions. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a technique that is able to detect the location of the leakage and to filter abnormal gas-leakage signals from normal background noise. In this study, the adaptation filter of the finite impulse response (FIR) least mean squares (LMS) algorithm and a cross-correlation function were used to develop a leakage-predicting program based on LABVIEW. Nitrogen gas at a high pressure of 120 kg/$cm^2$ and the assembled equipment were used to perform experiments in a reverberant chamber. Analysis of the data from the experiments performed with various hole sizes, pressures, distances, and frequencies indicated that the background noise occurred primarily at less than 1 kHz and that the leakage signal appeared in a high-frequency region of around 16 kHz. Measurement of the noise sources in an actual oil refinery revealed that the noise frequencies of pumps and compressors, which are two typical background noise sources in a petrochemical plant, were 2 kHz and 4.5 kHz, respectively. The fact that these two signals were separated clearly made it possible to distinguish leakage signals from background noises and, in addition, to detect the location of the leakage.

Therefore, the acoustic intensity estimated by the conventional FFT analyzer will show distorted value. • For more esthetic treatments the use of composite in molar areas are increasing. But polymerzation shrinkage that cause marginal leakage and cuspal deflection has been the problems of composites. The purpose of this study is to compare the effect of low intensity curing and polishing period on marginal leakage. Cavities were prepared on the buccal or lingual surface of forty five sound extracted human teeth and etching, application of bonding agent and filling of composite was done. Group 1 was light cured at intensity of 600$mW/cm^2$ for 41 seconds and polished. Group 2 was light cured at intensity of 300$mW/cm^2$ for 2 seconds and polished and after polishing it was light cured for 40 seconds at 600$mW/cm^2$. Group 3 was light cured at intensity of 300$mW/cm^2$ for 2 seconds and waited for 5 minutes and after curing at 600$mW/cm^2$ for 40 seconds polishing was done. The specimens were thermocycled at $5^{\circ}C$ and $55^{\circ}C$ for 1000 cycles and immersed in 2% methylene blue solution for 24 hours. Composite-tooth interface was examined under stereobinocular microscope for dye penetration. The results were as follows : 1. Group which were cured at low intensity and polished after curing at high intensity showed less marginal leakage than group which were cured at high intensity for 41 seconds(p<0.05). 2. Marginal leakage between group which were cured at low intensity and polished immediately and group which were cured at high intensity for 41 second were not significantly different. Light curing at low intensity can reduce marginal leakage but polishing immediately after curing at low intensity for short time can affect marginal leakage.

  • Water pipes are laid on the ground, making it impossible to visually detect leaks due to aging of pipes, and technology to detect leaks in pipes is mainly used to detect leaks in pipes by detecting leaks. In this paper, two accelerometers were attached to both ends of the constant water piping to calculate the time difference between the acquired data to detect leakage points. The leak test of piping was performed by installing valves at 4.3m, 8.6m, and 12.9m points on piping 17.2m, and changing the development rate of valves to 30% and 70%. Leakage can be detected for pressure drop in piping, which is 30% and 70% open valve. It is very important to detect leakage in the early stage, and it is judged that detection of the initial leak point from the algorithm applied in this paper will be possible.
