The Effect of Learning Support Leadership on Learning Agility and Job Satisfaction of Organizational Members

  • We study is to confirm the influence of the manager's learning support leadership perceived by the organizational members of small and medium-sized ICT companies on the learning agility and job satisfaction of the organizational members. In addition, this study was to confirm the relationship between learning agility and job satisfaction and the mediating effect of learning agility. To this end, the statistical package program SPSS 24.0 and SPSS PROCESS Macro Model were used for 352 copies. In other words, the results of analysis through frequency analysis, reliability analysis, factor analysis, regression analysis, and bootstrapping method to verify the established research hypothesis are as follows. First, the leadership of the manager's learning support showed a positive effect on job satisfaction. Second, the leadership of the manager's learning support showed a positive effect on learning agility. Third, learning agility was statistically significant in job satisfaction. Fourth, learning agility showed a mediating effect between learning support leadership and job satisfaction. As shown in the results of this study, it was shown that in order to improve the job satisfaction of organizational members, the learning support leadership of the manager and the learning agility of the members can be systematically improved. In other words, in terms of strategic human resource management and strategic human resource development, the organization was required to establish systematic systems and continue to implement them. In particular, there was a need for the development and operation of programs that could develop and improve competency for learning support leadership and learning agility.

A Study on Pre-service Educare Teacher's Leadership Experiences about Educare Program Development Based on Communities (예비보육교사의 지역사회에 기반한 보육프로그램 개발 리더십 경험에 대한 연구)

  • This study is to investigate the meaning of pre-service educare teachers' leadership experience about program development. The participants were 41 juniors in college, majoring in Child Welfare. They attended an 'infant & young childhood educare program development and evaluation' class for 15 weeks. During the given period they made documents from reflective journals and 5 participants among them were interviewed individually. Analyzing the documents sheds light on the meaning of the pre-service educare teahcers' experience. The results are as follows. First, pre-service educare teachers got a deeper understanding and attachment about communities. Second, they did a critical analysis about well-known home and abroad educare programs. Third, they had a opportunity of reflection about their education philosophy and competences. Forth, they experienced diverse leadership that is needed from educare teacher. The results showed the implications and suggestions about pre-service teacher education for educare teacher's curriculum leadership development.

Effect of the Career Women's Leadership Competences on the Job and Organization Life Satisfaction and the Willing to the Career Path Development (여성의 리더십역량이 직무 및 조직생활 만족, 경력경로 개발의지에 미치는 영향)

  • This study on the (employment) women's leadership competencies was tested with career paths development and job and organizational life satisfaction. The hypotheses and research model were set based on previous studies. To the total 250 samples(;employed and married women) were on survey about leadership competencies, career paths development, and job and organizational life satisfaction. And then, Frequency analysis, descriptive statistics, and structural equation modeling were carried out of the validity verification. Amos7.0 and Spss15.0 were used for statistical processing of results on surveys. One of the major results in this study, the (employment) women's leadership competencies in both job and organizational life satisfaction and career paths development had positive influence. In particular, it was found that job and organizational life satisfaction was operated as a parameter into career paths development.

  • This study was carried out in order to verify the influence that recognition was mad to organization commitment, organizational culture type leadership of a social welfare organization. The study object a total Part 456 was used to analysis as social worker engaged in to social welfare agency. It was for an independent variable to revolutionized leadership, exchanged leadership as leadership type, and it was organizational culture an mediator variable, analyzed correlation of organization commitment, analysis return in order to grasp an influence to be mad to organization commitment material leadership type, executed path analysis so that direct and indirect effect being mad to organization commitment organizational culture through leadership type. Result of research, A total effect to affect regarding organization commitment, there is most a lot of revolutionized leadership, affected that organization culture appeared group culture of an organization, exchanged leadership, development culture. A leader of a social welfare organization shall improve self-participation and business efficiency voluntary of an employee through revolutionized leadership, in order to improve organization commitment of an employee, this leadership types had to improve organization commitment of an employee as group culture of an organization.

A Study on the Rural Youth Programs of Foreign Countries (외국의 농촌청소년 개발사업의 현황과 시사점)

  • The purposes of this study were to review the rural youth programs of selected foreign countries and to draw some implications to the rural youth programs in Korea. The youth development programs reviewed were 4-H Youth Development Program of U.S.A, Rural Youth Information Service of Australia, Rural Youth Job Strategy of Canada, The Urban-Rural Youth Program of U.S.A, and Expert Consultation on Extension Rural Youth Programmes and Sustainable Development of FAO. After reviewing the rural youth programs of selected foreign countries, the authors suggested the following implications for further development of rural youth programs in Korea; 1. The target group of rural youth programs should include urban youth as well as rural youth, and the programs should be focused on enlarging their awareness of the rural community and agriculture. 2. Rural youth programs should be extended beyond agricultural sectors, such as leadership, career development, leisure activity, and cultural life. 3. We should develop some programs to support academic achievement, career development, employment, cultural needs including some strategies to prevent problematic behaviors of rural youth. 4. Rural youth should be supported more opportunities to join the community life to experience and learn various life skills through active participation such as interpersonal skill, leadership skill, and problem-solving skill.

Relationship of Self-leadership, Stress and Satisfaction in Clinical Practice of Nursing Students (간호대학생이 지각한 셀프리더십, 임상실습 스트레스 및 임상실습 만족도 간의 관계)

  • Purpose: In this study, the relationship between self-leadership, stress, and satisfaction among nursing students in clinical practice was examined. Method: The participants were 273 nursing students. Data collected from September to December 2010 were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients, and stepwise multiple regression. Results: The mean scores for self-leadership ($3.72{\pm}.41$), stress ($3.45{\pm}.59$), and satisfaction ($3.11{\pm}.38$) in clinical practice were above average. Self-leadership was significantly different according to year, interpersonal relationships, and satisfaction with nursing as a major. Stress in clinical practice was significantly different according to gender, year, and health status. Satisfaction in clinical practice was significantly different according to year, interpersonal relationships, and satisfaction with nursing as a major. Significant correlations were found between self-leadership and satisfaction in clinical practice, and stress and satisfaction in clinical practice. Year, self-leadership, interpersonal relationships, and stress in clinical practice were factors influencing satisfaction in clinical practice (20.0%). Conclusion: These findings indicate that there is a need to improve self-leadership, and to lessen stress in clinical practice to improve nursing students' satisfaction with clinical practice. The above-mentioned results should be reflected in the development of effective teaching methods for clinical practice.

Development and Validation Study of SLS-P (Servant Leadership Scale-Pastoral version) (목회용 서번트리더십 척도 개발 및 타당화 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop the Servant Leadership Scale-Pastoral Version(SLS-P). In order to accomplish the purpose of this study, analyzed the relationships of Christian tradition and servant leadership, explored the rationale about servant leadership measurements and 366 of the Christians were sampled through the cluster sampling. The finding of the study were as follows: First, The characteristics of servant leadership analyzed in Bible traditions and Jesus model. Second, The factorial structure of PHS was extracted as 5 factors (sharing, serving, caring, humbling, leading) with 23 items. Third, The utilizations of this SLS-P expects to be evaluated to the servant leadership program in the pastoral setting.

Structural Components of Leadership Perceived by Head Nurses (수간호사가 인지하는 리더십의 구성요소)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to understand the components of successful leadership and organizational structural barrier to apply leadership perceived by head nurses. Method: We collected the data using interviews from August 1 to August 31 in 2003. The participants of this study were 19 head nurses from two university hospitals in Pusan. Result: Three categories of successful leadership in nursing organization were identified; leadership, opportunity, authority. Leadership category included accepting nurses' opinions, providing comfortable work environment, and interpersonal harmony. Opportunity category included verbal convincing for professional development and emotional support. Authority category included accomplishment and competence. Head nurses included autonomy, incentives, and equal opportunity across to different discipline as power category. Barriers identified by head nurses were lack of opportunity and power from hospital level. They seem to be frustrated when they don't have enough support from hospital. Conclusion: We think that head nurses have to apply effective leadership to achieve organizational goal and harmonious nursing environment. Based on the barriers identified in the study, interdisciplinary managemental intervention can lead better quality of care and nurses' work satisfaction which could further enhance hospital productivity and quality of care.

  • The purpose of this study is to verify the relationship between teamwork and job satisfaction in team leadership behavior of SMEs. For this study, the survey data of 158 SME employees in the Seoul metropolitan area were analyzed by structural equation modeling. The results of the study are as follows. Team leadership behavior had a significant effect on teamwork. Teamwork was found to have a positive effect on job satisfaction. Therefore, this study identified ways to enhance competitiveness and stimulate team leadership behavior by cultivating team leadership behavior and teamwork competencies in accordance with the strategies of SMEs. It can also contribute to the development and strategy formulation and management of team leadership competencies to improve performance in SMEs.

Sports Leadership Theories for Improving Retail Service Quality on Customer Value

  • Purpose: The sports leadership theories are crucial in ensuring the success of corporations. This study shall discuss the various leadership theories employed in the sports industry and how they can be incorporated within the retailing sector to enhance the service quality and promote substantial customer value towards all the consumers visiting the retailing stores. Research design, data and methodology: The present researcher gathered textual data on potential solutions for coding of development through web searching method and coded and produced various topics as solution providers. Methods were then established to enhance quality on customer value by the leadership within their businesses, and the researcher subsequently presented the findings. Results: This study provides a total of nine solutions which are helpful systemically for practitioners in the retailer service sector. These numerous solutions can be incorporated within the retail industry through the sports leadership theories employed in the sports industry to help achieve a full and strong customer value. Conclusions: Finally, the present study concludes that the retail industry and management need to ensure that a substantial customer value is built through high-quality services rendered towards the clientele base, employing sports leadership theories such as path-goal, authentic leadership, transformation, situational and leader-member exchange theories.
