$Pb_{x}Ti_{1-x}$$O_2$(x = 0.1) 박막의 제조 및 특성 (Preparation and characteristics of $Pb_{x}Ti_{1-x}$$O_2$(x = 0.1) Thin Film)

  • sol-gel 방법으로 순수한 $TiO_2$와 Pb가 10 mol % 첨가된 $TiO_2(Pb_xTi_{1-x}O_2$(x = 0.1)) 분말과 박막을 제조하였다. $TiO_2$제조에는 titanium isopropoxide와 ethanol이 $Pb_xT_{1-x}O_2$(x = 0.1) 제조에는 lead acetate trihydrate와 titanium triisopropoxide monoacethylacetonate이 사용되었다. P-type Si(100) wafer, ITO glass 기판 위에 sol-gel spin-coating방법으로 박막을 형성시켰으며 상(phase)의 형성과 결정화를 위해서 400~$800^{\circ}C$에서 열처리하였다 준비된 분말 및 박막의 특성은 TGA/DTA, XRD, SEM, UV-visible spectrometer를 이용하여 검토하였다. XBD 측정 결과 A(101)면으로 우선 배향된 다결정성 anatase 형의 분말 및 박막을 얻을 수 있었고 Pb가 첨가된 박막에 대한 d-값의 작은 변화가 관측되었는데 이는 Pb가 $TiO_2$살창으로 들어왔음을 의미한다. UV-visible투과 스펙트럼측정 결과에 의하면 Pb가 첨가된 박막에서 투과 스펙트럼의 흡수파장이 장파장쪽으로 이동하는데 이는 Pb가 첨가되면 밴드 갭의 축소가 일어남을 의미한다.

우리나라 당류의 중금속 함량 및 안정성 평가 (Trace Metal Contents in Sugar Products and Their Safety Evaluations)

  • 본 연구는 우리나라 식품공전의 당류 중 중금속 함유량을 파악하여 식품공전 제 개정시 과학적 기초자료로 활용하고자 수행하였다. 1999년에 총 285건의 당류에 대하여 ICP, AAS 및 Mercury analyzer 등을 이용하여 납 등 중금속함량을 측정하였으며 그 결과는 다음과 같다. [최소${\sim}$최대(평균), mg/kg]; Hg: 불검출${\sim}0.006(0.001)$, Pb: 불검출${\sim}0.47(0.03)$, Cd: 불검출${\sim}0.06(0.005)$, As: 불검출${\sim}0.10(0.004)$, Cu: 불검출${\sim}1.89(0.15)$. 본 조사결과는 외국의 모니터링 결과와 유사한 것으로 나타났다. 또한 당류를 통한 우리나라 국민의 납, 카드뮴, 수은의 섭취량은 FAO/WHO에서 중금속 안전성 평가를 위해 정한 PTWI의 $0.004{\sim}0.1%$로 안전한 수준이었다.

지류 포장재 종류에 따른 중금속 함량 측정 (Determination of Heavy Metal Contents in Various Packaging Boards)

  • This study was performed to evaluate the heavy metal contents in various packaging board. Domestic and foreign OCC (old corrugated containers) and old duplex boards were used as raw materials. Tests were made for the printed and unprinted parts of the sample. Heavy metal contents of old food packaging boards made from virgin pulp fibers were also evaluated. The contents of heavy metals including lead (Pb), cadmium (Cd), barium (Ba), arsenic (As), antimony (Sb), selenium (Se), and mercury (Hg) were determined using ICP-AES (Inductively Coupled Plasma - Atomic Emission Spectrometer), and CV-AAS (Cold vapor-atomic absorption spectrometer) after digesting the samples in a microwave oven. The contents of heavy metals contained in domestic packaging board were higher than those in overseas samples, and OCC showed higher contents of heavy metals than old duplex boards. Printed parts gave greater heavy metal contents than unprinted parts. Results indicate that recycling of paper and paperboard products increases the heavy metal contamination of the paper packaging products and this derives mostly from the heavy metals contained in printing inks. Recycling processes that decrease heavy metals in recycled fibers and new printing inks that contains less heavy metals should be developed to solve the problem associated with the heavy metals in packaging paper products.

전해응집법에 의한 불화수소 함유 워터젯 플라즈마 폐수처리 (Removal of Hydrogen Fluoride from Waterjet Plasma Wastewater by Electrocoagulation)

  • 사불화탄소($CF_4$)는 반도체 제조공정에서 에칭과 화학기상증착(CVD)에서 사용되어온 가스이다. $CF_4$는 적외선을 강하게 흡수하고 대기 중 잔류시간이 길어서 지구온난화에 영향을 미치기 때문에 고효율의 분해가 필요하다. 또한 불화수소를 포함한 폐수는 지하수 오염의 원인이 된다. 과도한 불소를 포함한 물을 장기간 섭취는 치아와 뼈에 문제를 야기한다. 워터젯 플라즈마를 이용하여 $CF_4$를 분해 후 생성되는 부산물 중 HF에 의하여 폐수가 생성된다. 이 폐수를 알루미늄 전극을 사용한 전해응집을 이용하여 폐수 중 HF를 제거 할 수 있는 시스템을 개발하였다. 실험 변수로는 초기 pH 변화, 반응 시간 변화, 주입유량 변화, 전류 밀도 변화를 실험하였다. 변수 실험을 통하여 초기 pH는 3.5, 반응 시간은 10 min, 주입 유량은 10 mL/min, 전류 밀도는 $159A/m^2$일 때 HF 제거율은 최고 85%까지 도달하였다.

  • Several studies have reported the presence of sodium excess objects having neutral atomic absorption lines at $5895{\AA}$ (NaD) and $8190{\AA}$ that are deeper than expected based on stellar population models that match the stellar continuum. The origin of these lines is therefore hotly debated. van Dokkum & Conroy proposed that low-mass stars (0.3M) are more prevalent in massive early-type galaxies, which may lead to a strong NaI 8190 line strength. It is necessary to test this prediction, however, against other prominent optical line indices such as NaD, Mgb, and Fe5270, which can be measured with a significantly higher signal-to-noise ratio than NaI 8190. We identified a new sample of roughly one thousand NaD excess objects (NEOs; ~8% of galaxies in the sample) based on NaD line strength in the redshift range 0.00${\alpha}$-enhanced" ([${\alpha}/Fe$] ~ 0.3), "metal-rich" ([Z/H] ~ 0.3), and, especially, "Na-enhanced" ([Na/Fe] ~ 0.3).

Phaseolus vulgaris, Garcinia cambogia (HCA)가 함유된 다이어트 식이 조성물의 체지방 개선 및 체중 변화에 미치는 영향 (Effects of a Dietary Supplement Consisting of Phaseolus vulgaris and Garcinia cambogia (RCA) on the Lipid Level and Body Weight)

  • 이에 본 연구에서는 한국인에 적합한 비만 개선책을 찾고자 지방흡수억제 기능과 과잉의 탄수화물 흡수 억제 기전이 함께 작용하는 방법으로서 강낭콩(white kidney bean, Phaseolus vulgaris)에서 $\alpha$-amylases 활성을 저해하는 탄수화물 흡수 억제하는 추출물과 지방산과 콜레스테롤 합성에 관여하는 효소의 저해제인 HCA(hydroxycitric acid)를 함유하여 지방 합성을 저해, 식욕 억제 효과와 지방의 분해 촉진을 유도하는 가르시니아 캄보지아(Garcinia cambogia), 그리고 배변 활동을 원활하게 하도록 도움을 주는 수용성 식이 섬유(microstalline cellulose) 등을 배합하여 비만 개선용 다이어트 식이 조성물을 제조한 후 임상 실험을 수행한 결과 체중과 체지방 지수에서 유의한 감소효과를 얻을 수 있었다. 이들 결과를 종합하면, 강낭콩 추출물인 파제올라민과 가르시니아 캄보지아 추출물의 지방 합성 저해 효과, 그리고 수용성 식이 섬유 등을 첨가하여 제조한 비만 개선용 다이어트 식이 조성물이 임상실험에서 체중 증가를 효과적으로 억제할 수 있음을 관찰할 수 있었으며, 이는 현대 성인 질병 가운데 하나인 비만을 효과적으로 예방, 치료할 수 있는 다이어트 식이로 유용할 것으로 사료된다.

제초제(除草劑)에 대한 식물(植物)의 저항성(抵抗性) (Resistance of Plants to Herbicide)

  • Changes in weed floras and development of plant resistance to herbicides seemed to be closely related with increased and repeated use of herbicides. Herbicide use increased from 5% of the total consumption of pesticide in 1950 to 45% in 1976 in world basis. About 200 herbicides have been introduced to agriculture so as to control about 206 weed species which have been recorded important to human beings. In Korea, there was about 351 times in increased use of herbicides from 1966 to 1982. Interspecific selection by herbicide is mainly responsible for changes in weed floras and resulted in varying tolerance or susceptibility to herbicides, together with the changes of agricultural practices. The present trend toward continuous cereal cultivation throughout world will lead to type of changes in weed floras favorable to therophyte which can survive under unfavorable conditions as seeds rather than the types of geophyte which can survive unfavorable seasons as buds placed below soil surface. However, geophyte such as Sagitaria pygmaea, and Scirpus jurtcoides, and Cyperus rotundus and Cynodon dactylon in temperate warm climate become severe paddy weeds, presumably because of the removal of annual weeds by herbicides. Since differential tolerance to 2,4-D was firstly reported in Agrostis stolofera, about 30 species of weeds in 18 genera are presently known to have developed resistance to triazine herbicides. Resistance of weed biotypes to triazine herbicide is not mainly due to limited absorption and translocation or to the difference in metabolism, but is the result of biochemical changes at the site of metabolic activity, such as a loss of herbicide affinity for triazine binding site in the photosystem II complex of the chloroplast membrane. Genetical study showed that plastid resistance to triazine was wholly inherited through cytoplasmic DNA in the case of Brassica campestris. Plant tissue culture method can be utilized as an alternate mean of herbicide screening and development of resistance variants to herbicides as suggested by Chaleff and Parsons. In this purpose, one should be certain that the primary target process is operational in cell culture. Further, there are a variety of obstacles in doing this type of research, particularly development of resistance source and it's regeneration because cultured cells and whole plants represent different developmental state.

경남 김해지역의 동계 대기중 중금속 분포와 특성 (Study on the Distribution and Characteristics of Heavy Metals in Ambient Air of Kimhae, Kyongnam of Wintertime)

  • This study was conducted to evaluate the level of atmospheric heavy metals and the relationship of that concentration with weather conditions. This research monitored the concentration of Total Suspended Particulates (TSP) at every three hours by using High Volume Air Sampler from December 24th, of 1995 to Febuary 20th, 1996 in Kimhae area, which recently became a rapidly growing residential and industrial sitc. The items such as air-temperature, relative humidity, radition, wind speed, and wind direction were monitored by using Atmospheric Weather System at the same time. From the collected TSP, the concentration of heavy metals were analyzed by using the Atomic Absorption Spcetrophotometry. The mean concentration of TSP was 110.4 $\mu\textrm{g}$/$m^3$, and the mean concentration of lead (Pb), copper(Cu), chromium (Cr), manganese (Mn), cadmium (Cd), were 0.837 $\mu\textrm{g}$/$m^3$, 0486 $\mu\textrm{g}$/$m^3$, 0.264$\mu\textrm{g}$/$m^3$). The concentration of Pb and Mn was higher in the moring and that of Cu, Cr and Cd was higher in the afternoon and the evening. Regarding the relationship between the concentration of pollutants and weather condition, the-concentration TSP revealed positive correlation with temperature, humidity, wind speed, but negative correlation with tradition (p<0.01). The concentration of Mn revealed positive correlation with temperature and humidity, but negative correlation with wind speed (p<0.01). And the the concentration of pollutants and weather condition revealed higher correlation within the same time period. In summary, the paralleled mornitoring of air conditions and weather condition should be recommended to. get the correct informations concerning the pollution and to prevent the deterioration of air conditions.

해양혼합층 모델 적용을 통한 고해상도 지역예측모델 성능개선에 대한 연구 (A Study on Improvement of High Resolution Regional NWP by Applying Ocean Mixed Layer Model)

  • Ocean mixed layer (OML) depth affects diurnal cycle of sea surface temperature (SST) induced by change of solar radiation absorption and heat budget in ocean. The diurnal SST variation can lead to convection over the ocean, which can impact on localized precipitation both over coastal and inland. In this study, we investigate the OML characteristics affecting the diurnal cycle of SST for the Korean Peninsula and surrounding areas. To analyze OML characteristics, HYCOM oceanic mixed layer depth (MLD) and wind field at 10 m from ERA-interim during 2008~2016 are used. In the winter, MLD is deeply formed when the strong wind field is located on perpendicular to continental slope over deep seafloor areas. Besides, cooling SST-induced vertical mixing in OML is reinforced by dry cold air originated from Siberia. The OML in summer is shallowly distributed about 20 m. In order to estimate the impact of OML model in high resolution NWP model, four experimental simulations are performed. At this time, the prognostic scheme of skin SST is applied in NWP to simulate diurnal SST. The simulation results show that CNTL (off-OML) overestimates diurnal cycle of SST, while EXPs (on-OML) indicate similar results to observations. The prediction performance for precipitation of EXPs shows improvement compared with CNTL over coastal as well as inland. This results suggest that the application of the OML model in summer season can contribute to improving the prediction for performance of SST and precipitation over coastal area and inland.

안전헬멧의 응력 및 변형거동에 관한 유한요소해석 (Finite Element Analysis on the Stress and Deformation Behaviors of a Safety Helmet)

  • 본 본문에서는 헬멧의 정상부에 별도로 보강뼈대를 설치하지 않은 경우에 헬멧의 두께를 변수로 헬멧 구조물에 걸리는 응력과 변형거동 특성을 유한요소법으로 해석하였다. 헬멧은 현장 작업자의 안전성과 충격에너지 흡수력을 높일 수 있도록 제작해야 하고, 헬멧을 오랫동안 착용해도 불편함이 없어야 하며, 또한 머리와 목을 보호할 수 있어야 한다. FEM 해석결과에 의하면, 외부의 충격력이 헬멧의 꼭대기에 가해졌을 때 헬멧에 작용하는 최대응력과 최대변형은 하중이 작용하는 지점에서 발생하고, 최대응력은 헬멧모체 구조물의 초기파손을 일으키는 원인으로 작용하는 것으로 나타났다. 헬멧의 두께를 4mm에서 2mm로 줄이면, 충격에너지 흡수율은 급격하게 증가하지만 헬멧에 작용하는 최대응력은 열가소성 소재의 인장강도 54.3MPa을 많이 초과하므로 파손되었다할 수 있다. 따라서 헬멧의 강도안전을 확보하기 위해서는 헬멧의 정상부에 보강뼈대를 설치하는 것이 바람직하고, 헬멧모체 구조물의 두께를 보다 두껍게 설계할 필요가 있다.
