In the QR Decomposition-based (QRD) decoding class, the system performance is sensitive to the error propagation. Thus, it is critical to correctly decode the previous layers. One approach to desensitize the error propagation is to propose the optimal decoding order of layers. In this work, we propose a new extended-list Sorted QRD-base (SQRD) decoding approach. In the proposed decoding scheme, the solution of the few first layers is extended as the list of promising possible solutions. By doing so, the diversity of the lowest layer is increased. As a result, the system performance is less sensitive to the error propagation than its counterparts. The proposed approach is verified by the computer simulation results.
The effectiveness and accuracy of the strain-based approach applied for analysis of two kinds of heterogeneous hollow cylinders subjected to thermal and mechanical loads are examined in this study. One is a multilayer cylinder in which the material in each layer is assumed to be linearly elastic, homogeneous and isotropic. Another is a hollow cylinder made of functionally graded materials with arbitrary gradient. The steady state condition without heat generation is considered. A sector in-plane finite element in the polar coordinate system based on strain approach is used. This element has only three degrees of freedom at each corner node. Analytical solutions available in the literature are presented to illustrate the accuracy of the sector element used. The obtained results for displacements and stresses are shown to be in good agreement with the analytical solutions.
The exponential proliferation of cutting-edge computing technologies has spurred organizations to outsource their data and computational needs. In the realm of cloud-based computing environments, ensuring robust security, encompassing principles such as confidentiality, availability, and integrity, stands as an overarching imperative. Elevating security measures beyond conventional strategies hinges on a profound comprehension of malware's multifaceted behavioral landscape. This paper presents an innovative paradigm aimed at empowering cloud service providers to adeptly model user behaviors. Our approach harnesses the power of a Particle Swarm Optimization-based Probabilistic Neural Network (PSO-PNN) for detection and recognition processes. Within the initial recognition module, user behaviors are translated into a comprehensible format, and the identification of malicious nano-structures behaviors is orchestrated through a multi-layer neural network. Leveraging the UNSW-NB15 dataset, we meticulously validate our approach, effectively characterizing diverse manifestations of malicious nano-structures behaviors exhibited by users. The experimental results unequivocally underscore the promise of our method in fortifying security monitoring and the discernment of malicious nano-structures behaviors.
If a certain relay node in multi-hop wireless networks might become a malicious node that does not cooperate with other nodes or a selfish node, network throughput will be dramatically decreased. Most of existing ad hoc routing protocols assuming that the nodes will fully cooperate with other nodes do not resolve the problem of network performance degradation due to malicious and selfish nodes. This paper presents the CARE (Cooperative Ad hoc routing protocol based REputation) scheme incorporating the reputation management that can achieve a multi-hop wireless network with high throughput performance. The proposed scheme provides the horizontal cross-layer approach which can identify misbehaving malicious, selfish nodes dropped out of the hop-by-hop based packet processing in the network and then set up an optimal packet routing path that will detour misbehaving nodes. And the vertical cross-layer approach contained in the CARE scheme attempts to improve the quality of routing paths by exploiting the quality of link information received from the MAC layer. Besides, it provides high TCP throughput by exploiting the reputation values of nodes acquired from the network layer into the transport layer. A case study on experiments and simulations shows that the CARE scheme incorporating vertical and horizontal cross-layer approaches yields better performance in terms of the low rate of packet loss, fast average packet delivery time, and high TCP throughput between end-to-end nodes.

Copper zinc tin sulfide ($Cu_2ZnSnS_4$, CZTS) is a very promising material as a low cost absorber alternative to other chalcopyrite-type semiconductors based on Ga or In because of the abundant and economical elements. In addition, CZTS has a band-gap energy of 1.4~1.5eV and large absorption coefficient over ${\sim}10^4cm^{-1}$, which is similar to those of $Cu(In,Ga)Se_2$(CIGS) regarded as one of the most successful absorber materials for high efficient solar cell. Most previous works on the fabrication of CZTS thin films were based on the vacuum deposition such as thermal evaporation and RF magnetron sputtering. Although the vacuum deposition has been widely adopted, it is quite expensive and complicated. In this regard, the solution processes such as sol-gel method, nanocrystal dispersion and hybrid slurry method have been developed for easy and cost-effective fabrication of CZTS film. Among these methods, the hybrid slurry method is favorable to make high crystalline and dense absorber layer. However, this method has the demerit using the toxic and explosive hydrazine solvent, which has severe limitation for common use. With these considerations, it is highly desirable to develop a robust, easily scalable and relatively safe solution-based process for the fabrication of a high quality CZTS absorber layer. Here, we demonstrate the fabrication of a high quality CZTS absorber layer with a thickness of 1.5~2.0 ${\mu}m$ and micrometer-scaled grains using two different non-vacuum approaches. The first solution-processing approach includes air-stable non-toxic solvent-based inks in which the commercially available precursor nanoparticles are dispersed in ethanol. Our readily achievable air-stable precursor ink, without the involvement of complex particle synthesis, high toxic solvents, or organic additives, facilitates a convenient method to fabricate a high quality CZTS absorber layer with uniform surface composition and across the film depth when annealed at $530^{\circ}C$. The conversion efficiency and fill factor for the non-toxic ink based solar cells are 5.14% and 52.8%, respectively. The other method is based on the nanocrystal dispersions that are a key ingredient in the deposition of thermally annealed absorber layers. We report a facile synthetic method to produce phase-pure CZTS nanocrystals capped with less toxic and more easily removable ligands. The resulting CZTS nanoparticle dispersion enables us to fabricate uniform, crack-free absorber layer onto Mo-coated soda-lime glass at $500^{\circ}C$, which exhibits a robust and reproducible photovoltaic response. Our simple and less-toxic approach for the fabrication of CZTS layer, reported here, will be the first step in realizing the low-cost solution-processed CZTS solar cell with high efficiency.
Recently, various multiphase flows have been developed, and among them some models have been commercialized. However, most of them have been developed based on a pressure-based approach; therefore, various numerical difficulties were involved inherently. Accordingly, in order to overcome these numerical difficulties, a multiphase flow model, MultiPhaSe flow (MPS), following a fractional-flow based approach was developed. In this study, by combining a contaminant transport module describing an enhanced dissolution effect of a surfactant with MPS, a MultiPhaSe flow and TranSport (MPSTS) model was developed. The developed model was verified using the analytical solution of Clement. The MPSTS model can simulate the process of surfactant enhanced aquifer remediation including interphase mass transfer and contaminant transport in multiphase flow by using the coupled particle tracking method and Lagrangian-Eulerian method. In this study, a surfactant was used in a non aqueous phase liquid (NAPL) contaminated area, and the effect of hydro-geological heterogeneity in the layered media on remediation efficiency was studied using the developed model. According to the numerical simulation, when hydraulic conductivity in a lower layer is 10 times, 20 times, and 50 times larger than that in an upper layer, the concentration of dissolved diesel in the lower layer is much higher than that in the upper layer because the surfactant moves faster along the lower layer owing to preferential flow; thus, the surfactant enhances dissolution of residual non aqueous phase liquid in the lower layer.

The objective of this study is theoretically to suggest the effective heat exchanger design method using boundary layer analysis. The boundary layer formation and interruption on rectangular plate and round plate fins are explained and the heat transfer coefficients showed with the variation of the velocity and temperature boundary layer. In addition, the flow pattern on one plate fin surface considered as external flow and flow pattern between fins considered as internal flow. As a result, theoretical method for the boundary layer interruption avoidance is suggested and the heat transfer coefficient of the round plate fin was higher than that of the rectangular plate fin because of the less thermal and velocity boundary layer thickness except the centerline.
The development of wireless sensor networks (WSN) can be motivated by several types of applications. However, these applications demand an energy-efficient WSN that can prolong the network lifetime and can provide high throughput, low latency and delay. Designing wireless sensor networks with the capability of prolonging network lifetime catch the attention of many researchers in wireless system and network field. Contrasts with Mobile Ad Hoc Network system, Wireless Sensor Networks designs focused more on survivability of each node in the network instead of maximizing data throughput or minimizing end-to-end delay. In this paper, we will study part of data link layer in Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) model, called medium access control (MAC) layer. Since the MAC development of energy aware MAC Protocol for wireless sensor layer controls the physical radio part, it has a large impact on the overall energy consumption and the lifetime of a node. This paper proposes a analytical approach that tries to reduce idle energy consumption, and shows the increasement of network end-to-end arrival rate due to efficiency in energy consumption from time slot management.
Three group samples with difference thickness of $CeO_2$ capping layer deposited by PLD were studied. Among them, one group $CeO_2$ films were deposited on stainless steel tape coated with IBAD- YSZ and $CeO_2$ buffer layer ($CeO_2$/IBAD-YSZ/SS); other two groups of $CeO_2 YSZ Y_2O_3$multi-layer were deposited on NiW substrates for fabrication of YBCO coated conductor through RABiTS approach. The pulsed laser deposition (PLD) and DC magnetron sputtering were employed to deposit these buffer layers. On the top of buffer layer, YBCO film was deposited by PLD. The effect of thickness of $CeO_2$ film on the texture of $CeO_2$ film and critical current density ($J_c$) of YBCO film were analyzed. For the case $CeO_2$ on $CeO_2$/IBAD-YSZ/SS, there was a self-epitaxy effect with the increase of $CeO_2$ film. For $YSZ/Y_2O_3$ NiW which was deposited by PLD or DC magnetron sputtering, there is not self-epitaxy effect. However, the capping layer of $CeO_2$ film deposited by PLD improved the quality of buffer layer for $YSZ/Y_2O_3$ which was deposited by DC magnetron sputtering, therefore increased the $J_c$ of YBCO film.
Morphology of injection molded polymer blend was investigated by experimental and theoretical approach. In experiments, the effects of injection speed and injection temperature on the morphology of injection molded MPPO/Nylon 6 blend were investigated. The morphology distribution across the part thickness was clearly observed in injection molded blend. We could observe several distinct regions across the thickness of molded part: skin layer, subskin layer and core region. The skin layer where the dispersed phase is fine and highly deformed to the flow direction is observed to be located near the part surface. The subskin layer located at inner region of the skin layer also observed. In the subskin layer, the dispersed phase is coarser than that of skin layer and deforms to the flow direction. Based on the experimental results, the calculation scheme to predict the morphology of injection molded polymer blend was suggested. The morphology of injection molded polymer blend could be predicted in corporation with the result of flow analysis obtained from commercial software for injection molding process and the theory of drop behavior under the flow. The suggested calculation scheme could predict the effect of injection conditions on the morphology of injection molded parts.
