Objectives : To direct methods of management and development of herbs and their derived products, and at the end of this study to inform the process of making new herbal drug regulations in Korea. Methods : This study analyzed the regulations and laws of western medicine drugs. Results : We have got some herbal prescriptions which are not in the eleven books of oriental medicine now in use but which have proved effective. We need to establish standards for permissions to produce medical products through those prescriptions. Besides, we need the special permissions to produce herbal products through prescriptions, especially those which have been used to treat incurable diseases. And, we can contribute to globalization of oriental medicine and to well situating of herb products and medicinal acupunctures if we produce them according to international standards. It is thought that herbal medicine has no side effect in the medical society in Korea. But, it is getting popular to administer herbal medicine and western medicine together. Thus, the side effects of taking both medicines at the same time should be documented. Conclusions : Herbal medicines and herbal products should be under the control over the whole process of production, circulation, and sales. Now, it is time for herbal medicine to be known to all over the world. Therefore, herbal medicine must meet and adhere to the standards set by the western society and WHO.

Advanced Safety Management System(SMS) of Korea Railroad Corporation for risk management should be established applying contents-centered domestic standard according to Railway Safety Act and process-centered international standards suggested by Lloyd's Register Company. Besides, laws, regulations, guidelines and manuals which are optimized for each sector should be systematically integrated to strengthen the consistency of SMS of KORAIL. New safety regulations and guidelines for safety management/train operations/maintenance should be established according to the safety policy of KORAIL to boost effective field work by regulations, guidelines, manuals, etc. The advanced Safety Management System will lead KORAIL as a competent global enterprise with its boosted reputation in the international railway market.

The purpose of this study is to propose consumer policy related to the protection of personal information on the basis of regulations and laws in the developed countries. From this study, implications for the protection consumer privacy are discussed as follows. First, Consumer education is needed to enhance consumers'knowledge on their privacy right and this should be done not only by private consumer organization but also by businesses. Second, Businesses should realize ethical responsibilities of consumers'privacy right when they use personal information by databasemarketing. Finally, Government should establish a privacy law concerning both public and private sectors.

Virtually every state in US has adopted laws and regulations that mandate the generic substitution of brand-named prescription drugs in order to reduce sky-rocketing drug costs. In the late 1970s, many state governments began to recognize the need of generic substitution and requested Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to consult with this issue. FDA did consult which drugs were interchangeable each other based upon the available scientific and experimental evidences given to the agency along with New Drug Application (NDA) and Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA). This study provides the phenomenon of distributional pattern of children's parks in Kwang-Joo city and shows the procedure of distributional changes. The demand of children's parks by Dong was estimated and a gap between present provision and demand was calculated with the aid of regression residuals by Dong. This research has produced the following major conclusions : 1. The distribution of children's parks shows minor relationship to urban variable, in terms of children's population (R=0.5402). 2. There is impressive evidence that children's parks delivery is highly responsive to laws and regulations of land development.

The main purpose of this paper is to propose an alternative system of the distribution of OTC drugs in Korea. We first investigate the characteristics and the regulations on the distribution of the Korean medicine market and compare it with some foreign countries. We also examine the buying behavior of Korean customers. We propose three different alternatives. A passive policy is to expand the range of OTC drugs. Another one would be to amend the relevant laws. An active alternative is to arrange a separate organization to control the distribution of OTC drugs. The time and the execution of the proposed policies could vary.

Making practical use of urban MAGLEV system which is tried by government includes technique development and railway construction. Because huge amount of money will be spent on this project, feasibility study is being carried out in order to check the feasibility and to devise the master plan in prior to making practical use of urban MAGLEV system. The key issues of feasibility study are possibility of technique development, economical feasibility, location of a model railway and the improvement of related laws and regulations. This paper shows the approach to solve these key issues.

For the greenhouse 9as emissions' reduction of fossil fuel, the energy policy on the promotion of alternative energy should be implemented. Accordingly, national policies on the development and promotion of alternative energy were made, and related laws and regulations are being made, and comprehensive plans should be followed. The policies and strategies for promoting the renewable energy have been insufficient in comparison with those of the developed countries. This paper suggests the spread extension plan of renewable generation through generation development and priority purchase.

The purpose of this study is to propose the need of Masan Free Trade Zone and the strategy of successful implementation. MFTZ was established as a center of general free trade and global distribution by means the promotion of foreign investment in 1970s. To promote the development of MFTZ, it can be proposed a) successful technology innovation, b) reforming of related laws and regulations, c) the care of local government, d) strengthening of marketing activities, e) deeping of comparative advantage of investment, f) encouraging of strategic industries.
