Long distance trail or trail system planning is the first important step in transforming your vision into reality. Planning presents a vision for a trail or trail system and brings a comprehensive, long-range perspective. The master plan provides solid, credible recommendations for developing a trail or trail system that is safe, convenient, well used, supported by local residents, practicality to implement, and customized to meet the needs of the community, you will need to follow a logical planning. The key elements of master planning includes site assessment, vision, goals and objectives, routing and design, implementation strategies. Trails or trail systems should provide linkages to popular destinations, safely accommodate a variety of users, and be sensitive to any negative impacts on the natural environment and wildlife. Trails planners also need to think about how the trail, or trail system will function in the future as areas are developed or trail population increases. All of these factors during the planning process will ensure the existence of high-quality facilities for years to come. Project for Nakdong-jungmaek trail planning combine long distance trail with circuit way. That project is a planning brought out the best in each of Tokai natural way and Cotswold way. That is planning which is combined a wooded trail in Tokai natural way with access and facilities improving economy in Cotswold way. Also That planning embraces a core cultural center which is concerned forest or wood to come more people.
The purposes of this study are to identify assessment items to evaluate riverfront for amenity and recreation and to analyze the relative importance of the items using Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP). Total 15 items of 5 categories were identified through literature review and panel discussion. Based on the AHP analysis results, a weighted value was set for each of the layers in the hierachy. 'Ecological Characteristics' (0.333) was rated with the highest weighted value. followed by 'Landscape Characteristics'(0.190) and 'Physical Characteristics'(0.166). Among the assessment items, 'Water Quality' (0.152) and 'River Naturality'(0.118) had higher weighted values. With the set of assessment items field assessments were carried out for Gyung-An Stream of Gyeonggi-Do to exam its applicability. Total 6 segments and 31 reaches out of the 22.5 km long river were evaluated and the mean scores of the five categories were converted into a percentile score for comparison. Overall, the segments which had higher scores were located close to neighborhood areas and had better connections with other historical and cultural amenities. Also, existing facilities was an important factor and needs to be considered for waterfront development.
Targeting people returning to farming and also people preparing for returning to farming, this study analyzed differences in awareness of conflict factors and conflict management focusing on the conflicts experiencing in the process of their movement and settlement process in rural area. In the results, people preparing for returning to farming showed higher awareness of conflicts and also higher necessity of conflict management than people already returning to farming. Also, both groups preferred individual conflict management to structural conflict management. Based on the results like above, the implications can be summarized like below. First, it would be necessary to have programs informing possible conflicts in advance in the process of returning to farming and also relieving psychological anxiety by providing prior-learning to people preparing for returning to farming. Second, it would be necessary to have individual conflict management measures to establish mutual trust and to form community spirit through regular social gatherings between original residents and people returning to farming. Since the effect of conflict management can be maximized only when the structural and individual conflict managements are properly harmonized, it would be necessary to have the structural conflict management which is relatively felt difficult.
Long-term unexecuted urban parks will be released from urban planning facilities after 2020, this may result in development of those parks. However, little research have been focused on how to develop those parks considering conservation, development, spatial pattern, and so on. Therefore, in this study, we suggested an optimization planning model that minimizes the fragmentation while maximizing the conservation and development profit using ACO (Ant Colony Optimization). Our study area is Suwon Yeongheung Park, which is long-term unexecuted urban parks and have actual plan for private development in 2019. Using our optimization planning model, we obtained four alternatives(A, B, C, D), all of which showed continuous land use patterns and satisfied the objectives related to conservation and development. Each alternative are optimized based on different weight combinations of conservation, development, and fragmentation, and we can also generated other alternatives immediately by adjusting the weights. This is possible because the planning process in our model is very fast and quantitative. Therefore, we expected our optimization planning model can support "spatial decision making" of various issue and sites.
The purpose of this study is to research the influence of soundscape in the preference of landscape. Specifically, standards type of communication are applied to the landscape such as positive scenery and negative scenery. The spatial image was analyzed by the variables of Kaplan\`s information process model. The level of visual preferences was measured by a type of acoustic information and visual information in the landscape, and this data was analyzed by multiple regression. The results of this study can be summarized as follows; The value of landscape preference was maximum value in Type I and minimum value in Type II from all fluent of coherence, mystery, and legibility to, except complexity, and it was not different from preference. These results clearly show the influence of sounds effecting decision of landscape preference. It was different by the type of acoustic information and visual information in landscape. The results of ANOVA among types of acoustic information were differences of mean between positive sound, no sound and negative sound from coherence, mystery, and legibility to, except complexity. These variables may be the major factors which must be considered in planning and designing as the functional basis for quantitative analysis.
Recent landscape changes from human activities, such as agricultural development and urbanisation frequently result in the loss of habitats, the reduction in habitat patch size and an increasing isolation of habitat patches. However, there is little information on woodland changes in agricultural landscapes. Therefore, the aim of this research was to assess spatial characteristics and changes of woodland in an agricultural landscape and how these may have had an impact on ecological process for 33 years. One of the agricultural landscape character units was analysed based on aerial photographs from 1976, 1983, 1994, 2002 and 2009 in Gwangju city. The results indicated that landscape ecological metrics clearly showed that they could be used to monitor changes of woodland ecological conditions during the past 33 years. The results imply that particularly human activities have been leading to the decrease of the mean size of woodland patches and finally result in woodland isolation. These changes may have a negative impact on woodland bird species in the study area. This woodland information can be used to identify the potential and specific needs for setting priorities for conservation planning.
The city of Siheung in the Kyunggi-do Province has various natural resources such as the ocean, mountains, wide farmland, various types of wetlands, streams and rivers. In addition, the city has a big greenbelt, which consists of two-thirds of the area, where development has been regulated. Since the city has a relatively well-preserved natural environment, it offers a great potential for regional development. The purpose of this study is to create an eco-tourism resource plan for the Mulwang reservoir, which offers many opportunities for ecotourism in the city of Siheung. This study includes a literature review for planning elements and suggests a comprehensive plan that includes conservation, eco-restoration, route program and practice program for ecotourism in and around the site. The plan also includes eco-farming, a visitor center, an ecovillage, the chance to experience livestock farming, opportunities to learn about and experience the forest, tracking, eco-learning, an environmental interpretation facility, fishing and aquatic-oriented leisure activities. This study's process and results show possibilities that can be applied to other areas where eco-tourism using natural resources is used for regional development.
Since the great acceleration, the emergence of the sustainable development concept amid the conflict between economic growth and the preservation of the natural environment is at a time when an efficient land-environmental plan integration system is needed to achieve a smart balance between development and conservation. Although preceding studies have been conducted domestically and internationally on various aspects, the operating system has not been implemented effectively. In this study, the policy concept of environmental policy integration, the current status of integrated management of land-environmental plans in South Korea, and related literature studies were reviewed to derive overall complementary points. In addition, the review was carried out by reorganizing the domestic urban planning legal-based system and the environmental legal-based system according to the same hierarchy to promote an effective integration system, and in foreign cases, the establishment of spatial and environmental plans in Germany and Japan was typically considered to derive implications for the establishment of an efficient interconnection system for the integrated management of domestic land-environmental plans in the future.
Both the national land plan and the environmental plan reflect the need for sustainable land use and management. However, the linkage between the plans is reduced due to the lack of integrated management. Therefore, this study developed indicators to achieve integrated management. A total of 59 environmental plans were reviewed for the development of indicators, and a total of 74 integrated management indicators were derived through a three-stage process. In this process, the relevance of the integrated management indicators of this study to the UN 's sustainable development goals (SDGs) is presented in order to derive indicators that meet the level of international consultation. In order to facilitate the utilization of the indicators, the final indicators are divided into seven areas: natural ecology, water resource and quality, urban and green space, atmospheric, energy, landscape, resource circulation and waste. Furthermore, the indicators were classified into national, regional, and city level. Accordingly, the final indicator can be adapted to the field of influence of the planned to be established, and the indicator can be selected and applied to the level of the plan. The final indicators can be used to examine the extent to which the national plan reflects the contents of the environmental plan and can be used as an aid to confirm the contents to be included in the plan when establishing a new national plan.

Residents of urban area like to be near rural animals during their daily life, so it is important conserve the suburban Yato landscape in Japan. This study targets the species of frogs that are commonly found in Yato paddies. It is necessary to various frogs inhabiting in Yato, because frogs are popular among Japanese, who as children enjoy capturing tadpoles and frogs. Its purpose is to clarify how that composition of frog species changes when the functionality of a frog habitat is diminished by urbanization. The survey, conducted in the Eastern Kanagawa area in central Japan, determined the distribution of each species of frog in grid cells measuring 0.5-$\textrm{km}^2$. It hsows wide distributing species (Hyla japonica; they always inhabit in all paddies), the middle range distributing species (Rhacophorus schlegelii and Rana porosa p.), the limited range distributing species (R. rugosa; they are most critical species, sine they are recognized only two cells), and so on. Correspondence analysis based on the frog species composition in each cell was performed to ascertain the adaptability of each species to various paddy field conditions. The results allowed us to classify cells into four groups according to the composition of the inhabiting species. And we recognized that the process by which frogs disappear occurs in reaction to either of two patterns of change. As paddy fields are improved by farmland consolidation, R. rugosa, R. ornativentris, R. japonica, and Bufo. japonica f. decline rapidly. In plateau areas, a smore andmore paddies are converted into strong, well-drained fields, only H. japonica and R. porosa p. remain. But in hilly areasd, the species composition becomes only H. japonica and R. schlegelii. Finally, we discuss the concept of ecological urban design in the context of the conservation of frog species in Yato paddies.
