In this paper proposes a very simple method to estimate the rotor position of a switched reluctance motor. By on-line estimating the self-inductance of the motor, the rotor position of the SR motor is obtained, and a closed-loop drive system can be achieved. Proposed methods can easy implement to application with sensorless SR motor drive system. SR motor simulation executed with self inductance estimation and result represented. Simulation result verified the rotor position using the proposed self-inductance estimation method.

Reliability is an important issue on the digital reactor protection system. This paper presents a Quantitative reliability evaluation method to find out an improvement effect of availability for the digital control module with a fault detection function. It is a reliability evaluation model which considers only the electronics parts ocurring a spurious reactor trip by the FMEA(Failure Mode Effect Analysis). Applying the previous and present methods to the reactor protection system, the availability factors are evaluated and compared.

The effectiveness of silica-based microgels prepared through the reaction of sulfuric acid and sodium silicate as a component of Compozil system has been evaluated . Silica based microgels with better performance in retention and drainage than a commercial colloidal silica sol have been successfully prepared. Silica gels with the highest charge density were obtained when product pH was controlled to 9. And highly charged silica-based microgels showed greater retention and freeness performance than a commerical product. In particular the difference in retention, turbidity , and freeness between these microgels and a commercial product was eminent at low addition rate. The effects of reaction conditions including reaction temperature, process water quality and feeing rate on product efficiency in improving retention and drainage were also investigated and discussed.

광섬유 연결 반도체레이저를 여기원으로 하는 단면여기 세라믹 Nd:YAG 레이저의 출력 특성과 레이저 출력에 영향을 미치는 열 영향에 대하여 연구하였다. 반사율이 90.4 %인 출력거울을 사용하였을 경우 약 33.8 %의 최대 출력 효율을 얻었고, 기울기 효율은 39.3 %를 나타내었다. 세라믹 Nd:YAG의 열렌즈 효과에 의해 여기 파워 6 W 이상에서 출력 감소 현상이 나타났으며, 12 W 부근에서 레이저가 발진되지 않았다.

Subtalar joint instability (STI) is one of the causes of persistent hindfoot pain even after treatment for ankle instability. Diagnosis of STI is often neglected because it is a poorly understood concept. However, understanding of the anatomy and injury mechanism of the subtalar joint is a prerequisite of appropriate treatment. Patients with STI usually complain of several symptoms, such as recurrent sprains or a giving way sensation and rolling over. Recently, various diagnostic tools and treatment methods have been investigated. This study was undertaken with the aim of helping clinicians by providing a comprehensive understanding of STI.

A 3rd degree burn on the heel including the Achilles tendon is vulnerable and requires active treatment to improve the functional outcomes. Previously, there have been a few treatments on severe burns, such as amputation, debridement or simple skin graft. The cooperative technique of an anterior lateral thigh flap with Achilles tendon reconstruction can be an innovative procedure that preserves the major arteries. The authors review a case and report the clinical outcome.

Music therapy has been proved to be effective in treatment of diseases such as Alzheimer's disease. Many studies have investigated the effect of music therapy techniques on symptoms of a given disease but there has been no efforts in classifying those studies by specific symptoms of diseases, although patients, caregivers and music therapists have difficulty in discovering documents that they need to treat certain diseases. Thus, in the study, we propose a method to group music therapy-related publications by the music therapy techniques mainly used for a given disease. We expect that it will help music therapists and patients to find papers to help them to cure a specific disorder.

Early fracture and cutting force of ceramic tool for hardened STC3 steel was investigated in this study. It was found that early fracture of ceramic tool was mostly occurred before normal wear was progressed beyond a critical cutting speed and normal wear was performed under the critical cutting speed. The relationships among critical cutting speed, which was a cause of early fracture, suggested cutting cross section, that is, maximum thickness of cut and width of cut, and cutting force were examined. The following conclusions were obtained: (1)Critical cutting speed showed a high value in the case of small maximum thickness of cut and large nose radius, but was not influenced by width of cut, (2)Principal, feed and radial force, respectively, showed the proportional value to constant cutting area, width of cut and maximum thickness of cut orderly, (3)Occurrence of early fracture was dependent upon radial force.

We conducted this study to identify the components of H&B store app service quality and their effect on customer satisfaction. The survey was conducted through an online survey for teenagers or older with experience in using H&B store app. A total of 330 copies were distributed and a total of 282 copies were used for the final analysis. The results of this study are summarized as follows: First, eight factors such as ease of use & design, fulfillment, playfulness, responsiveness, personalization, security, contextual usefulness, interactivity were derived as service quality components of H&B store app. Second, as a result of regression analysis, the six service quality components, such as 'ease of use & design', 'fulfillment', 'playfulness', 'responsiveness', 'security', and 'interactivity' were found to have a significant positive (+) effect on customer satisfaction (p<0.05) and 'playfulness (β=.372)' had the greatest effect on customer satisfaction. Based on the results of this study, we should strive to establish effective marketing strategies in the H&B industry.

In this paper, an auxiliary winding driving system of single-phase induction motors is described. Starting charateristics variations are obtained by controlling the auxiliary winding voltage magnitude and phase angle, while the motor's main winding is directly connected to the local utility. A variable auxiliary winding voltage phase angle is shown to yield significant torque control, providing starting and braking torque. The analysis includes the determination of the relationship between the auxiliary winding voltage phase angle and the phase angle difference between the main and auxiliary winding current. The paper proposed for adjusting an auxiliary winding voltage magnitude and phase angle. Experimental results of motor's starting characteristics with using the DC-AMP and PWM inverter for auxiliary winding power supply are shown. The drive is tested using a dynamometer to experimentally verify the results of the theory.
