  • Due to the recent shortage of river sand resulting from a rapid growth of concrete construction, sea sand is increasingly used in stead. It is, however, well noted that non-washed sea sand used in reinforced concrete causes to corrode reinforcing steel and to incur cracks in concrete, and thus eventually result in damage to concrete. In this study, therefore, measeres that increase the quality of concrete were used to protect the reinforcing steel against corrosion in reinforced concrete construction, and then the corrosion resistance of reinforcing steel compared and analyzed from low quality concrete to high quality concrete.

  • In the point of the Eco-concrete(Environmentally Friendly Concrete), it is very important to reduce the pH of high porous concrete by the pH to be able to grow plants, because the pH of concrete is l1~13. But the method of measuring the pH of high porous concrete is not well-defined, yet. Therefore, first, this paper report the method of measuring the pH of high porous concrete. Secondly this paper reports the pH reduction of high porous concrete to grow plants.

  • The shrinkage mechanism of high strength concrete is different from that of normal concrete. The shrinkage of normal concrete is subjected to evaporate moisture in concrete, but most shrinkage in high strength concrete is caused by chemical reaction. To analyze shrinkage of concrete exactly, it is necessary to divide drying shrinkage with autogenous shrinkage in terms of degree of hydration, especially in concrete with low W/C ratio. The proposed method can provide a rational basis for prediction of shrinkage in high strength concrete structure.

  • CFRD face slab concrete has a much capability to occur crack due to drying shrinkage and vibrator compaction etc. Because crack of concrete induces structural problem and decrease durability of concrete, it is need to reduce crack of concrete. In the experimental study it was analyzed that the effect of curing of concrete and compaction on CFRD face slab concrete. As a results, it was found that control of construction condition into curing of concrete and compaction improved on construction efficiency of face slab concrete.

  • This is a part a study on the development of High-Performance Concrete ; about experimental results from several test methods to estimate workability in fresh concrete and influences of concrete mix design that affects properties of super-flowing concrete. Super-flowing concrete can be filled in a formwork without any vibration because of its excellent workability of passing narrow space and filling complicated shaped mold, new test methods should be used to estimate the workability and rhelogy in super-flowing concrete instead of slump test method in conventional concrete.
